Definitions

  • the present invention relates to the field of watchmaking.
  • a watch whatever its type (clock, clock, wristwatch, alarm clock, ...) has a main dial with time marks, typically 12 time markers, as well as benchmarks corresponding to the minutes, usually 12 spaced apart markers of 5 minutes each.
  • Two concentric needles usually the needle in the foreground for the minutes and the needle in the background for the hours, go through this dial for allow the reading of the hour and minutes by estimate of the position of each needle by relative to the landmarks of the fixed dial.
  • Such watches of the prior art exhibit a risk of confusion because the reading seems to be identical to that of a traditional needle watch, while the indication is radically different.
  • the purpose of the present invention is to propose a new clockwork mechanism, producing effects new visuals, and allowing a new way of reading of time, without risk of confusion with watches traditional.
  • the object of the invention is to conserve the surprising appearance of the watches according to the state of the technique disclosed by the patent FR368617, by remedying However, the technical disadvantages resulting from visual proximity of needle-shaped indicators with the usual watch hands.
  • the invention aims for this purpose a watch comprising two indicators realizing a figure formed by both indicators, is either additive (if they are by example of the same color), or subtractive (if the indicator that is in the foreground has the same color as the background), or combinatory if there are more than 3 colors.
  • the invention relates in its most general meaning a watch conforms to the claim 1.
  • Such an embodiment makes it possible to realize visual effects of juxtaposition, superposition and variable surface recovery allowing reading unambiguous, and very synthetic because it allows intuitive perception of the exact time in one at a glance, without it being necessary to break down the reading in two stages, one to perceive the time, the other to perceive the fractions of an hour.
  • the markers allow the reading of the indications thanks to their shape or to color arrangements.
  • the indicator disk of minutes rotates in the opposite direction of the indicator disc of hours.
  • the evolution of visible neighborhoods is consistent with lunar phases.
  • a third indicator rotating seconds is driven by the same engine. This indicator is driven at the speed of 1+ (N + 1) / (60 * N) Rotations per minute.
  • the indicators minutes and hours are indicators presenting the same color to form a covering surface or additive variable juxtaposition.
  • the indicator is in the foreground presents the same color as the bottom of the dial to form a surface covering or subtractive variable juxtaposition.
  • the indicator of minutes, the hour indicator and the background display three differentiated colors to form a surface of overlap or combinational juxtaposition.
  • the watch has an annular peripheral ring carrying the hour markers, said ring being rotatable to allow angular displacement as a function of time zone.
  • the man from business can adapt the types of benchmarks mentioned above to the minute indicator torque - second indicator.
  • Figure 1 represents a first example of making a watch. It comprises a fixed dial (1), of disc shape in the example described, bearing reference marks hours (2, 3, 4, 5). It also has two axes central concentric (24) driving one element disc (22) for the indication of the hours and the other one disc element (23) for indicating minutes. The disks are attached to the corresponding axis at one point peripheral. The diameter of the discs (22, 23) corresponding substantially to the radius of the main dial (1).
  • the disc element (22) rotates 12 hours. The time is read by estimation the position of the end of a radial axis with respect to fixed dial (1).
  • the element disc (22) may have a marker (26), for example a hole or a contrast point.
  • the disc element (23) is in the foreground. It is rotated at a speed N + 1 times greater than that of the disc element (22).
  • the minutes are read by estimate of the degree of overlap or juxtaposition of the time disc element (22) by the disc element of the minutes (23).
  • the two elements (22, 23) are in opposition, and do not overlap. On time full, the two disks (22, 23) overlap completely.
  • the minute disc (23) gradually discovers the disc (22) hours, which will take the form of a neighborhood of decreasing moon.
  • the minute disc (23) progressively covers the disc (22) hours, which will take the form of a neighborhood of Crescent moon.
  • the disk (22) hours can be white, and the minute disc (23) black, or any other combination contrasting colors.
  • Figures 2 and 3 show a variant of first embodiment of the invention.
  • the needles (31 and 32) have the shape of right triangles isosceles. The angle between these two indicators being the same following the time elapsed compared to the full hour, these elements always form a square at the full hour (figure 3) and a right triangle at quarter of an hour (Figure 4). Each of the conformations is found in this example with a period of exactly one hour.
  • the indicator hours and minutes that have the same shape eg half-disc, off-center disc, spiral interior, rhombus
  • the minute indicator can take the same color as the bottom of the watch, which makes it possible to read the time by area portion of hours indicator left visible by the minutes indicator.
  • a tracking of minutes can be worn by one or the other of the indicators or both.
  • Each model can be equipped with a system that allows the set formed by the indicators, the bottom of watch and the caliber of turning jointly relative to cradle and bracelet to display hours corresponding to other time zones. Indeed, in all time zones at a given moment, the past minutes since the full hour are the same and correspond for a watch according to the invention to the same angular difference between the indicators of hours and minutes.
