Definitions

  • the invention relates to a surf binding comprising a base intended to be mounted on a surfboard and having connected sidewalls at the back by a hoop, a bent support plate and articulated relative to the base between the walls laterates in two opposite points and whose curvature substantially marries the curvature of the arch.
  • the support plate curved is mounted on the wings of the base. Such a montage limits the possibilities of assembly and adjustment.
  • EP 0 749 766 is described a mounting base and monobloc hoop, wherein the bent support plate is hinged to the side walls of the base without the possibility of adjustment.
  • EP1175250 also discloses a surf binding comprising a base having side walls connected at the rear by an arch, a bent support plate articulated relative to the base on an auxiliary support secured to the base between the side walls at two opposite points.
  • the main purpose of the invention is to offer a certain freedom of mounting the support plate on the base.
  • the fixation according to the invention characterized in that the bent support plate is articulated on an auxiliary support secured to the base, between the side walls, and attached directly to the base or secured in rotation of the base via an auxiliary room.
  • the settings do not require further removal nuts and screws and the fastener has no lateral projection.
  • the arch is preferably from a room with the base.
  • Setting the front-rear position of the support plate can be done by moving its auxiliary support. This one may be entirely located between the side walls, no room or part of a room does not protrude outside these side walls.
  • the fore / aft adjustment can be done without loss of adjustment the position of the support plate on its auxiliary support.
  • adjusting the position of the plate of support on its auxiliary support is without loss of adjusting its front-back position on the base.
  • the auxiliary support has a lodging cross in a housing formed in the lower face of the base or the auxiliary part, this cross is provided of two cheeks / crossing the base near the walls side of the base. The auxiliary support is thus almost completely housed under the base.
  • the crossbar and the bottom of the housing have cooperating notched zones between them for the positioning of the support auxiliary relative to the base.
  • these notched areas are centered on the cross and in the housing and the attachment includes a intermediate plate mounted between the cross member and the bottom of housing, this plate presenting on its face upper, at least one cooperating radial detent with at least one radial detent of the cross member for the orientation of the auxiliary support around a perpendicular axis at the base and, on its underside, at minus a transverse notch cooperating with the notching transversal bottom of housing for positioning longitudinal of the auxiliary support.
  • the attachment is provided with a heel pad connected to the support auxiliary so as to move with it.
  • the invention is applicable to fasteners without adjustment.
  • FIG. base 1 intended to be mounted on a board of surfing, possibly via a platform to orient this base with respect to the longitudinal axis of the board.
  • This base 1 has two substantially vertical side walls and parallel 2 and 3 connected back by a hoop 4 come from a part with the base 1.
  • Figure 1 does not does not represent the actual fastening means of the shoe. Different solutions can be used for this fixation, especially a pair straps with loops.
  • the attachment comprises a bent support piece 5 mounted between the side walls 2 and 3 of the base and whose the curvature matches the curvature of the arch 4 against which she can come to lean on.
  • the support piece 5 serves, in known manner, support at the back of the shoe, especially the user's boot.
  • Fixation differs from known constructions in that the support piece 5 is not articulated on the walls 2 and 3 or on the arch 4, but on a support auxiliary 6 ( Figure 2).
  • This auxiliary support is consisting of a crossbar 7 of rectangular section whose ends are provided with two cheeks 8 and 9 parallel to each other and perpendicular to the crosses.
  • the crossbar 7 has two holes 10 and 11 for the passage of screws 12 and 13 for its attachment to 1.
  • the areas 14 and 15 surrounding the holes 10 and 11 are notched transversely to the transom.
  • On the face upper crossbar 7 are further formed two guide grooves 16 and 17 parallel to each other and oriented perpendicular to the axis of the cross-member.
  • the cheeks 8 and 9 have an upper part thinned 18, respectively 19 defining a scope planar and horizontal 20, respectively 21 and whose outer vertical face 22, respectively 23 is notched in the same direction as zones 14 and 15.
  • the arched support piece 5 is hinged to the parts 18 and 19 by its arms 5a and 5b by means of a screw 24, respectively screwed into a nut such as the nut 26 for the screw 24, this nut being embedded in a room plastic 27, respectively 28 having a face plane resting on the span 20, respectively 21.
  • the support piece 5 is further connected to the support auxiliary 7 via a connecting piece 29, respectively 30 allowing to change the level screws 24 and 25, that is to say the orientation of the axis articulating the support piece 5 on the support 6, that is to say, to adjust the inclination of the median plane of the support piece 5 relative to the plane of the base.
  • a connecting piece is described in detail in French Patent Application No. 99 13757.
  • the screws 24 and 25 are eccentric on the connecting pieces which have a raised portion such as 31 comprising four lobes arranged symmetrically relative to the center of the area in relief, this area in relief coming to fit in a housing 32 of form conjugate arms 5a and 5b of the support piece 5 in four different positions.
  • the means for connecting the support plate 5 to the support therefore make it possible to modify both the level of the axis of articulation of the support piece 5 relatively at the base that the orientation of this axis of articulation in the space.
  • the notched faces 22 and 23 of the cheeks 8 and 9 have a horizontal light for the passage of the screws 24 and 25.
  • the faces of the pieces 27 to 28 resting against the notched faces 22 and 23 are also notched. It is thus possible to fix the pieces 27 and 28 in different points of the cheeks 8 and 9.
  • this possibility of setting is only used to shift longitudinally one of the pieces 27 and 28 compared to the other, that is, to change the orientation of the bent support piece 5 around its axis of curvature. Parallel displacement in translation front-rear of the support piece 5 is indeed by moving the auxiliary support 6 like this will be described later.
  • the lower face of the base 1 has a housing 34 of rectangular section, of substantially equal to the thickness of the crossbar 7, but of width substantially greater than the width of this cross 7.
  • the bottom of housing 34 has two oblong holes 35 and 36 for the passage of the screws 12 and 13.
  • the bottom of the housing 34 has a notched surface 37, respectively 38 cooperating with the notched zones 14 and 15 and whose notches have the same orientation and the same dimensions that the notches of the notched surfaces 14 and 15 of the support auxiliary.
  • the base 1 is crossed by two passages 39 and 39a. Close to its ends, the housing 34 has two walls or ribs 40 and 41 extending transversely to the 34.
  • the auxiliary support 6 is fixed in the housing 34 by the screws 12 and 13 which come to screw in the holes 10 and 11 of the crossbar 7 of the support auxiliary.
  • the cheeks 8 and 9 pass through the passages 39 and 39a by their thinned portions 18 and 19 as can be see Figure 1 for Part 19.
  • the walls parallel 40 and 41 engage in the grooves 16 and 17 for guiding the auxiliary support.
  • the housing 34 being substantially wider than the cross 7, it can be moved in one direction parallel to the longitudinal axis of the base and / or around an axis perpendicular to the base and fixed in different positions maintained by the notches.
  • the heads of the screws 12 and 13 are of course not protruding on the upper face of the base 1, but are embedded and rely on counterbores surrounding the oblong holes 35 and 36.
  • the binding may be provided with a heel pad 42 as shown in FIG. 4.
  • This pad 42 is crossed by the screws 12 and 13 for fixing the support 6. If you move the support auxiliary to adapt the position of the support piece bent 5 to the shoe size of the user, the pad 42 moves with this support piece 5, so that he is always in a correct position relatively to the heel of the shoe.
  • Figure 4 are represented the two extreme positions of the pad 42 respectively 42 'in full line and dashed line.
  • the housing for receiving auxiliary support could be formed in the upper face of the base, but we would no longer have the continuity of the upper face of the base.
  • Figures 5 and 6 show such a mode execution.
  • the crossbar 7 is provided at its center a ring 43 notched circularly, that is to say radially. This crown comes into engagement with a corresponding notched crown 44 formed in a hole 45 in the bottom of a dwelling 46 corresponding to the housing 34 but whose sides are convex from to allow a slight rotation of the crossbar 7.
  • this mode of execution is identical to first mode of execution.
  • the notched crown 43 could be replaced by a simple engaged swivel in the hole 45 in which the notch would also deleted. These crowns would be replaced by notches at the ends of the crossbar and the housing.
  • a third embodiment is shown in Figures 7 and 8.
  • the base 1 here has a housing formed of a cutout transversal 47 and whose bottom is formed by a piece auxiliary consisting of a plate 48 reported under the base 1 and secured in rotation of the base and to which is attached the auxiliary support 6.
  • This plate 48 extends only over part of the cutout 47 and in this cutout, it presents a parallel detent 49.
  • the crossbar 7 of the support Auxiliary has a notched central zone radially 50. Between the crossbar 7 and the plate 48 is disposed an intermediate plate 51 having, on its upper face, a radial detent corresponding to the notching 50 and, on its underside, a notch parallel corresponding to the notch 49. Both sides of the wafer 51 are also shown in FIG. 8.
  • the crossbar 7 is fixed to the plate 48 by a screw 52 and a nut 53.
  • FIG. 9 An alternative embodiment is illustrated in Figure 9.
  • the intermediate plate 51 is replaced by a elongate plate 54 whose center has a pivot 55 engaged in a corresponding housing of the cross 7.
  • the parallel notches 56 and radial 57 are formed at the ends of the wafer on both sides of the plate.
  • Corresponding notches are formed on the crosspiece 7 and on the plate 48.
  • the plate 48 could extend over all or part of the length of the cutout 47.
  • the bridge-shaped portion penetrating the cutout 47 which can be seen in the figure 8, could be a little more marked and wider than to form housing comparable to housing 34 of FIG. 3, housing in which the cross-member 7 auxiliary support could be attached to plate 48.
