Das in Fig. 1 und 2 dargestellte Ausführungsbeispiel des neuerungsgemässen
handgeführten Schleifgeräts trägt jeweils gesamthaft das Bezugszeichen 1. Das
Schleifgerät 1 besitzt ein zentrales Gerätegehäuse 4, aus dem ein Schleifteller 2 ragt, der
motorisch antreibbar ist. Der Antriebsmotor, üblicherweise ein Elektromotor, das Getriebe
und gegebenenfalls noch weitere Aggregate, wie beispielsweise ein Lüfterrad für eine
Staubabsaugung, sind im zentralen Gerätegehäuse 4 untergebracht. An einer Seite des
zentralen Gerätegehäuses 4 ragt lateral ein Haupthandgriff 6 ab, der die Geräteelektronik
und den Betätigungsschalter für das Gerät beherbergt. Die Energieversorgung des
Schleifgeräts erfolgt über ein nicht näher bezeichnetes Versorgungskabel, das am
Haupthandgriff 6 befestigt ist und beispielsweise an das Stromnetz anschiessbar ist. An
der dem Haupthandgriff 6 abgewandten Seite des zentralen Gerätegehäuses 4 ist ein
Zusatzhandgriff 8 für eine Zweihandbedienung angeordnet. Am oberen Endabschnitt des
zentralen Gerätegehäuses 4 ist eine wulstartige Verbreiterung 5 des Gehäuses

Zentrum des Schleiftellers 2 verlaufende Mittenachse A, entlang einer Verbindungslinie
vom Haupthandgriff 6 zum Zusatzhandgriff 8, in Richtung des Zusatzhandgriffs 8 versetzt
angeordnet. Wenigstens 3/5 der zusätzlichen Greiffläche 10 erstrecken sich im
wesentlichen von zentralen Gerätegehäuse 4 in Richtung des Haupthandgriffs 6. Dabei
umgreift ein Abschnitt der Greiffläche 10 das zentrale Gerätegehäuse in einem
Umfangsbereich, der etwa 240° bis etwa 320° beträgt. Aus ergonomischen Gründen ist
die Greiffläche 10 in Richtung des Haupthandgriffs 6 leicht abfallend ausgebildet. Die
Projektion der zusätzlichen Greiffläche 10 und die Schleiffläche 3 überdecken einander im
wesentlichen. Dabei liegt ein grosser Teil der Projektion der zusätzlichen Greiffläche 10

des Zusatzhandgriffs 8 über. Der Zusatzhandgriff 8 ist mit Vorteil ausziehbar ausgebildet.
Dazu ist er in nicht näher bezeichneten Führungsschienen gelagert, die im die zusätzliche
Greiffläche 10 aufweisenden Gehäuseabschnitt 9 angeordnet sind. Rastpositionen in den
Führungsschienen ermöglichen bei Bedarf ein verschieden weites Ausziehen des
Zusatzhandgriffs 8. Damit der Zusatzhandgriff 8 bei einem randnahen Arbeiten nicht
behindert, überragt er im eingeschobenen Zustand die Schleifplatte 2 nicht. Der
Haupthandgriff 6, die weitere Greifposition an der wulstartigen Verbreiterung 5, die
zusätzliche Greiffläche 10 am Geräteabschnitt 9 und der Zusatzhandgriff 8 können mit
einem vibrationsdämmenden Material beschichtet sein bzw. gänzlich aus einem

Claims (10)

- Hand guided sanding device according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that sections of the grip surface (10) extend through an angle of approximately 240° to approximately 320° of the circumference of the central device housing (4).
- Hand guided sanding device according to Claim 5, characterised in that the grip surface (10) is adjacent to the additional handle (8), wherein the outer contours preferentially and continuously merge into each other.
- Hand guided sanding device according to Claim 6, characterised in that the additional handle (8) can be pulled out in the lateral direction and preferably exhibits one or more stop positions.
- Hand guided sanding device according to Claim 7, characterised in that the additional handle (8) does not project from the sanding surface (3) when retracted.
- Hand guided sanding device according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the housing section (9) provided with a grip surface (10) lies adjacent to the arm of the stirrup-shaped main handle (6) and is preferably connected to it.
