Definitions
- the invention relates to a coupling piece for connecting two to one another stacked containers over their corner fittings with elongated holes, especially for use in the area next to each other Adjacent container stack of corner fittings (midlock), the Coupling piece for locking insertion into the elongated holes of the Corner fittings of the containers in opposite directions has protruding coupling projections, one of these Coupling projections can be inserted into the elongated hole of the same corner fitting Blocking stop is assigned, and wherein the coupling projection, the the blocking stop is assigned, only protrusions projecting sideways to overlap the side edges of a container slot.
- a generic coupling piece for connecting containers is for example known from EP-A-0 477 887.
- the coupling projections of such a coupling piece have locking lugs on, in the longitudinal direction in the respective elongated holes of the corner fittings the container engage and the end edge areas of the elongated holes in overlap locking position to two in this way to connect stacked containers together.
- the upper coupling protrusion is normally in the lower one Mounted corner fitting of an upper container.
- the lower coupling protrusion is usually in the upper Corner fitting of a lower container threaded that the upper container on which the dome already hangs, is tilted slightly and in this way when lowering the upper container further, the locking lug of the lower coupling projection in the corner fitting of the lower container is threaded.
- twistlock is often used on the other side of the container, that can be unlocked by turning with the help of a trigger is.
- a generic coupling piece is therefore preferably a so-called midlock used, namely in the difficult to access joint area immediately adjacent container stack, while the addressed Twistlocks arranged on the more accessible sides of the container stack to be able to operate the rotary trigger.
- container stacks often lashed with so-called lashing bars the container stack in addition to the ship movements to back up. This happens particularly in the case of stacked containers on the deck of a container ship.
- the invention is therefore based on the object, a coupling piece of the above Show genus that is designed so that the Additional securing of the stacked container with a lashing bar on the Corner fitting of the upper container is possible.
- this object is achieved by that the coupling projection in the area of its stop material is spared at the end of an elongated hole, i.e. instead of one Locking nose is more of a recess in this area.
- the locking of the coupling piece in the lower corner fitting of the upper container about the wing-like, protruding sideways projections is absolute sufficient.
- the locking is done by first the Blocking stop is deactivated and the dome projection with its side wings only in the longitudinal orientation of the elongated hole in the elongated hole introduced and after the introduction by 90 ° in a transverse and Lock position is rotated. After that, the blocking stop is again brought into operation. One turn back of the upper coupling projection unlocking is then not in this position of the blocking stop more possible, so that a secure fixation of the container on the coupling piece or the coupling piece on the container is guaranteed.
- Coupling piece result from subclaims 3 to 8. These relate in particular to the operability of the blocking stop, with this DE-U-297 08 727 can be considered as prior art.
- FIG. 1 shows the top view in a partially sectioned side view Corner fitting 1 of a lower container 2 and the lower corner fitting 3 of a upper container 4 of two stacked containers 2 and 4.
- the two corner fittings 1 and 3 are according to the invention Coupling piece 5 connected to each other.
- This coupling piece 5 has one middle frame 6, from which a lower coupling projection 7 after below and an upper coupling projection 8 upwards into the corner fittings 1 or 3 protrude.
- the lower coupling projection 7 has one Locking lug 9, which in the longitudinal direction of an elongated hole 10 of the Corner fitting 1 has and extends beyond this slot at the end and on this as the lower container 2 locked.
- the upper coupling projection 8 also projects through an elongated hole 11 of the Corner fitting 3, but has no locking nose, but only in each case sideways protruding locking projections 12, the side edges overlap the elongated hole 11 and in this way the upper container 4th lock.
- the upper coupling projection 8 corresponding locking tab is missing, is even a kind instead Material recess provided by the coupling projection 8 in this Area tapered upwards.
- the upper coupling projection 8 is a slidable Blocking stop 13 assigned. This can be moved in the frame 6, and by means of a handle 14.
- the blocking stop 13 is also in the plane of the frame 6 pivoted into it, so that it is in the side view of the Dome piece disappears.
- the blocking stop 13 is then located closer to the upper coupling projection 8, while in the in Fig. 1st locking position shown so far from the coupling projection 8 is that it spreads together with the coupling projection 8, bridges the entire length of the elongated hole 11.
- the blocking stop 13 in the plane of the frame 6 retractable. Then can the upper coupling projection 8 with its side locking projections 12 initially pointing in the longitudinal direction of the elongated hole 11 through the slot 11 into the corner fitting 3 and through a Pivoting can be locked by 90 °, being in this Locking position the side locking projections 12 the side Reach over the edges of the elongated hole 11. Then the blocking stop 13 raised again from the plane of the frame 6 and in the longitudinal direction of the Elongated hole 11 moved away from the upper coupling projection 8 to the coupling projection 8 together the entire length of the elongated hole 11 to fill.
- FIG. 1 has the special design of the upper coupling projection 8 without a locking lug the advantage that a hook end 15 one Lashing rod 16 through a side opening 17 of the upper corner fitting 3 in the corner fitting 3 inserted and can be hooked there without the in the same corner fitting 3 protruding coupling projection 8 of the Dome piece 5 blocks or obstructs the hook end 15 of the lashing rod 16. In this way, a double backup of the stacked is advantageous Containers 4 possible.
- FIG. 2 and 3 again show a side view and a top view of the Coupling piece 5 according to FIG. 1.
- the same components are the same Reference numerals denote as in FIG. 1.
- Fig. 3 it can be seen that the blocking stop 13 via a Rod 18 is connected to the handle 14, the handle 14 as Swivel lever is formed.
- the blocking stop 13 opposite the upper coupling projection 8 under the action of a Return spring 19, which sits concentrically on the rod 18.
- the blocking stop 13 With the help of Handle 14 can the blocking stop 13 closer to the Coupling projection 8 used and then in the plane of the frame 6th be pivoted into where it is under the load of the spring 19 to the The frame is placed in the lowered position.
- the blocking stop is again from the plane of the frame 6 swung out and then moves under the influence of Return spring 19 partially over the frame 6 and blocked there.
- the arrows 20 on the frame 6 indicate that the coupling projection 8 with its projections 12 projecting sideways initially rotated into the Slot 11 must be inserted and then locked for locking of these arrows 20 must be pivoted back again until the projections 12 overlap the lateral edges of the elongated hole 11.

Description
The invention relates to a coupling piece for connecting two to one another stacked containers over their corner fittings with elongated holes, especially for use in the area next to each other Adjacent container stack of corner fittings (midlock), the Coupling piece for locking insertion into the elongated holes of the Corner fittings of the containers in opposite directions has protruding coupling projections, one of these Coupling projections can be inserted into the elongated hole of the same corner fitting Blocking stop is assigned, and wherein the coupling projection, the the blocking stop is assigned, only protrusions projecting sideways to overlap the side edges of a container slot.
A generic coupling piece for connecting containers is for example known from EP-A-0 477 887.
The coupling projections of such a coupling piece have locking lugs on, in the longitudinal direction in the respective elongated holes of the corner fittings the container engage and the end edge areas of the elongated holes in overlap locking position to two in this way to connect stacked containers together. For such a lock the upper coupling protrusion is normally in the lower one Mounted corner fitting of an upper container. To make room for this win, with the upper coupling projection in principle also initially inserted rotated into the slot and then in the longitudinal direction of the slot can be oriented, has in the generic coupling piece upper coupling projection also one assigned to it Blocking stop on that for threading the coupling projection into the Corner fitting can be put out of function and can be used to lock it again can be brought so that it with the coupling projection, the coupling piece in the Elongated hole locked.
The lower coupling protrusion is usually in the upper Corner fitting of a lower container threaded that the upper container on which the dome already hangs, is tilted slightly and in this way when lowering the upper container further, the locking lug of the lower coupling projection in the corner fitting of the lower container is threaded.
A so-called twistlock is often used on the other side of the container, that can be unlocked by turning with the help of a trigger is.
A generic coupling piece is therefore preferably a so-called midlock used, namely in the difficult to access joint area immediately adjacent container stack, while the addressed Twistlocks arranged on the more accessible sides of the container stack to be able to operate the rotary trigger.
But it is also possible to consider generic coupling pieces to use accessible pages of container stacks, in particular also on all sides of a single stack of containers.
Especially when such a container stack is set up individually, however in other situations, the accessible pages of In addition, container stacks often lashed with so-called lashing bars the container stack in addition to the ship movements to back up. This happens particularly in the case of stacked containers on the deck of a container ship.
But if already generic or similar coupling pieces the Partially fill the oblong holes in the corner fittings of the containers or even with theirs Locking lugs pointing the end edges of the elongated holes outwards protrude, so there is no space left to easily Lashing bars also on the corner fittings, for example through the lateral openings of the corner fittings of the containers, for example to get caught.
The invention is therefore based on the object, a coupling piece of the above Show genus that is designed so that the Additional securing of the stacked container with a lashing bar on the Corner fitting of the upper container is possible.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by that the coupling projection in the area of its stop material is spared at the end of an elongated hole, i.e. instead of one Locking nose is more of a recess in this area.
This has the particular advantage that the coupling piece that the two on top of each other stacked container connects together, with its upper one Coupling protrusion not in the direction of the side freely accessible hole protrudes the corner fitting of the upper container, so that in this hole Hook end of a lashing rod can be inserted without the Dome piece to be hindered or blocked. So it's special The advantage of double securing the stacked upper container with the help of the coupling piece and also possible with a lashing rod.
The locking of the coupling piece in the lower corner fitting of the upper container about the wing-like, protruding sideways projections is absolute sufficient. The locking is done by first the Blocking stop is deactivated and the dome projection with its side wings only in the longitudinal orientation of the elongated hole in the elongated hole introduced and after the introduction by 90 ° in a transverse and Lock position is rotated. After that, the blocking stop is again brought into operation. One turn back of the upper coupling projection unlocking is then not in this position of the blocking stop more possible, so that a secure fixation of the container on the coupling piece or the coupling piece on the container is guaranteed.
Further advantageous refinements and developments of the invention
