Abstract
L'invention se rapporte à un procédé de modification d'un véhicule que l'on souhaite doter d'une plate-forme élévatrice (24) pour fauteuil roulant, accessible par l'arrière du véhicule et susceptible de se déplacer d'une position de chargement en contact avec le sol à une position de transport surélevée. L'invention se rapporte également à un véhicule ainsi modifié. Ledit véhicule comporte un trou (8) découpé dans son plancher (15) et dans les deux rails longitudinaux du châssis (2 et 3) de façon que les parois externes (6) des deux rails longitudinaux (2 et 3) subsistent et que le trou (8) soit ouvert sur l'arrière du véhicule. Un caisson de torsion de renforcement (11) est disposé en travers du véhicule et est fixé aux rails (2 et 3) qui délimitent le trou (8). Des organes de type plaques de renforcement (9) sont soudés au plancher (15) du véhicule et enveloppent la partie centrale (12) du caisson de torsion ainsi que les parois (6) des rails (2 et 3) du châssis auxquelles ils sont soudés. Un plancher abaissé (24) est fixé dans le trou (8).
