Definitions
- the invention relates to a film packaging for a pasty substance, at which is in particular an adhesive, sealing and / or impression compounds or other curable substances.
- Pasty substances are mostly sold in disposable packaging that placed in application devices so that they can be applied.
- the disposable packaging is sometimes in the form of rigid cartridges, which have a movable base, the manner of a piston is moved into the cylindrical housing of the cartridge to the to discharge pasty substance.
- Flexible Disposable packaging in the form of tubular film bags.
- This foil packaging consist of a metal or plastic film tube that is tied at its two ends by clips. Such one Foil tubular bag is placed in the cylindrical chamber of an applicator introduced, an outlet port at one end of the cylindrical chamber having.
- the applicator's stamp moves in, applying pressure to the tubular film pouch and exerts on the pasty substance contained therein, which in As a result, through an opening in the outlet port facing Leaves the front end of the tubular film bag and through the outlet connection is dispensed from the applicator.
- Foil packaging of the above mentioned type are for example from DE-U-296 17 654, DE-U-296 13 945, EP-A-0 863 088 and EP-A-0 653 362 are known.
- the known tubular film packaging has fundamentally in practice proven. However, the handling of the Foil tube packaging for opening the same. It is known about this Purpose to provide piercing spikes when inserting the film tube pierce this. The film tube and the one holding it Pick-up headpiece with piercing mandrel and outlet nozzle must be used for the opening of the film tube are joined together, which is the handling difficult and perceived as annoying.
- the invention has for its object to a tubular film packaging create their handling at the opening by means of a piercing mandrel is simplified.
- the invention uses film packaging for proposed a pasty substance according to claims 1; the features of various embodiments of the invention are in the Subclaims specified.
- the film tube packaging with a locking device is in accordance with the invention for locking the cover part in a in the receiving head piece introduced first position in order to safeguard against unintentional Movement of the tubular film bag further into the receiving head piece provided, with the receiving head piece one from the end wall of the receiving head piece protruding towards the cover part Piercing spike, which in the first position of the cover part of the Foil tubular bag spaced and in a second position of the lid part penetrates the tubular film bag.
- the Locking the tubular film bag over its cover element on the Recording headpiece take place in a preposition in which on the recording headpiece the piercing mandrel has not yet been placed in the tubular film pouch stabbed. Only by further moving the on the Recording headpiece, in particular a tubular film bag held in a latching manner in the receiving head piece is achieved that the film tube packaging stabbed. In this position the cover element is also the Foil tubular bag preferably locked on the receiving head piece.
- the locking device between the receiving head piece and the tubular film bag in the preposition has the advantage of both together can be delivered and the user defined by Movement of the two together ensures the opening of the tubular film bag. This is particularly useful if the recording head piece like the tubular film bag is designed as a disposable item.
- the locking device between the receiving head piece and the cover part is preferably by means of elements which can optionally be brought out of engagement with one another realized and expediently designed as a locking device.
- the locking device has in particular complementary in shape Locking projections and recesses on the cover part and on the receiving head piece are arranged.
- the locking projections or recesses are e.g. on resilient extensions, in particular of the cover part appropriate. In principle, such a resilient extension piece is sufficient out; for handling reasons, however, it is advisable to use two of these Provide end pieces diametrically opposite on the cover part. These end pieces run transversely to the end face of the cover part and are with the cover part inserted into the receiving head piece, accessible from the outside, so that when exerting an external force on the at least one The cover part can be detached from the mounting head piece.
- the locking device is Invention designed as a connection with predetermined breaking point.
- the connection between cover part and receiving head piece in the first position can e.g. with a detachable detachable part (e.g. tear-off ring) be solved, so that the cover part towards the second position in the receiving head piece.
- a detachable detachable part e.g. tear-off ring
- connection with the predetermined breaking point also has the advantage that the bracket of the lid part on the receiving head piece so stable and solid can be that the cover part with tubular film bag during transport of the pre-assembled unit from the receiving head piece and the film tube with the cover part do not detach from one another and, if necessary automatically takes the second position. On a special transport lock can then be dispensed with.
- the locking device also has the advantage that the cover part on the receiving headpiece to secure against unwanted detachment from Can connect the recording head piece.
- This targeted locking of the cover part on the receiving head piece makes it easier to remove one Foil tubular bag from the applicator. Without this temporary connection would take the receiving headpiece from the applicator's pressure chamber be removed, the tubular film bag with its cover part remains in the cylindrical pressure chamber. Now around the tubular film bag should be removed from the cylindrical pressure chamber gripped the lid part by hand and in this way the tubular film bag be pulled out of the pressure chamber. Easier it is, on the other hand, the tubular film bag by grasping the receiving head piece can be removed from the pressure chamber. This is done according to the invention through the locking device between the cover part and the receiving head piece.
- Alternative configurations of the locking device are a bayonet lock or a thread.
- the locking device can next to a releasable form fit also by a releasable as a friction fit trained frictional connection can be realized.
- the Invention proposed a tubular film packaging according to claim 1, in which a locking element according to the invention is arranged on the receiving head piece is that between a locking position to prevent unwanted Movement of the film tube packaging from the preposition in Direction to the end position and a release position is movable in the the tubular film bag can be moved into the end position.
- This locking element can be designed differently and for example that Lock the cover part on the receiving head piece so that it is out of the preposition neither in the direction of the end position nor in the opposite direction Direction is movable.
- the locking element only ensures that the tubular film bag does not point towards the End position is movable.
- Locking element in its locking position in the space between the Cover part of the film tube packaging and the receiving head piece protrude.
- the locking element could also inadvertently move out of its locking position to move its release position. This is conveniently prevented so that the locking element against unwanted movements in the release position can be locked or blocked. For example, one rub or one is sufficient positive connection of the locking element with the receiving head piece or the cover part.
- the receiving head piece has an outlet connection on. It now lends itself to the blocking element of the tubular film bag push the opposite end into the outlet connector, the locking element then over the other end of the outlet nozzle extends beyond and as a stop to limit movement of the cover part and the tubular film bag in the direction of the outlet connection acts.
- the locking element between a first and a second rotational position in the outlet connection rotatable. This is in the first twisted position Locking element then in its locked position. In the first twisted position it is advantageous if the locking element against unwanted axial movements secured out of the outlet in this or on the cap and / or the cover part is locked.
- the locking element expediently a pin or bolt shape.
- the blocking element which is in the state in the outlet connection whose end protrudes away from the tubular film bag shows that Locking element on a design that makes it possible by manual Grasp this end of the locking element to rotate the same.
- the locking element is in its locking position across the space between the cover part and the end wall of the receiving head piece extends through.
- an opening in the peripheral edge on the end wall of the receiving head piece extends.
- two opposite openings extends of the edge. These two openings are preferably located on an imaginary straight line that runs secant to the receiving head piece, if this is designed as a substantially cylindrical cap.
- the Locking element which in particular has a pin or bolt shape, can be conveniently locked on the receiving head piece, so as not unintentionally slide out of the openings of the receiving head piece to be able to.
- the locking is preferably by means of a protruding Locking projection realized in a first rotational position of the locking element in a locking recess on the receiving head piece is immersed and disengaged in a second rotational position stands with this locking recess, the locking element in this rotational position can move axially out of the space.
- the locking element is a transport lock for the film tube packaging given if their tubular film bag velvet Cover part is prepositioned on the receiving head piece. This improves the Handling and handling the film tube packaging according to the invention.
- the Passage opening of the cover part of a sealing projection at least partially is surrounded or the receiving head piece has a sealing projection, which protrudes through the passage opening and, if necessary, has a circumferential design is.
- This sealing projection is due to the in use Foil tubular bag on. Within that limited by the sealing projection Area, the tubular film bag is opened when the pasty is from it Substance emerges.
- the opening of the tubular film bag can, as already mentioned above, by a piercing pin or the like. Piercing tool done, which is arranged on the receiving head piece.
- the lip-like Sealing projection seals the area around the opening in the tubular film bag so that there is a risk of smearing the inner surface of the Pick-up headpiece through the emerging from the tubular film bag pasty substance is reduced.
- the arrangement of the piercing tool on that of the tubular film bag separate receiving headpiece has the advantage that the tubular film bag is only opened when the recording head piece on the Cover part of the film packaging is placed. This is the opening process after inserting the foil packaging into the pressure chamber of the dispenser or applicator and only specifically by the user with the placement of the receiving head piece on the cover part, which is on one end of the pressure chamber of the dispenser or applicator supported.
- An applicator is known from EP-A-0 607 609, in which the applicators to be applied Components are in a foil pouch.
- the components pass through a head piece into an outlet nozzle.
- the head piece is by means of an anchored screw cap anchored to a cylindrical container wall.
- the head piece is also via a sealing ring opposite the cylindrical Sealed container wall.
- This sealing ring is not on the tubular film bag appropriate. Furthermore, this sealing ring only works when screwed together Condition of the applicator and not compared to the screw cap.
- EP-A-0 693 437 contains an applicator for two each in a film tube packaged components known, with each film tube there is a head piece which has a centrally arranged outlet connection having. Both outlet ports protrude into the ends of channels of a counterpart and are via an external sealing ring sealed against the channels.
- this foil packaging arranged a sealing element.
- This foil packaging has a radial seal against the Applicator.
- This foil packaging is with a tubular film bag provided, which has a peripheral wall and two end faces which the tubular film bag is tied up or in some other way is closed.
- One of these two ends carries a cover part, which in Form a ring or a disc can be formed.
- the lid part has an end face and a peripheral surface adjoining this on.
- the cover part and at least part of the connected to it The front end of the tubular film bag are placed in a receiving head piece an applicator that is located on one of the two ends of a cylindrical pressure chamber of the applicator can be positioned.
- the receiving head piece is provided with an outlet connection which is in the attached State of the receiving head piece with a passage opening of the Lid part is connected.
- tubular film bag is attached to the through opening of the Cover part aligned area of its one front end opened so that from the then open tubular film bag through the passage opening and the outlet connection, which is in fluid connection with this, is pasty Substance can leak.
- the seal between the front part of the cover part carrying the Foil tubular bag and the applicator is done by a radially arranged Sealing element located on the peripheral surface of the cover part and / or in the transition area from the end face to the peripheral face.
- This sealing element lies in the state of use of the tubular film bag on the receiving headpiece and / or the cylindrical Pressure chamber of the applicator.
- the sealing system of the sealing element on the receiving head piece and / or the cylindrical pressure chamber remains independent of that exerted by the stamp and on receive the pressure applied to the tubular film bag. So is a secure seal from the start of an application process guaranteed. In this way, smearing the applicator with pasty substance can be effectively prevented. Only the tubular film pouch and the lid part must be disposed of; the receiving head piece can be reused.
- the design of the radially arranged sealing element can be different. It is expediently used as a sealing element a sealing ring (especially O-ring) used in a receiving groove is arranged, which is in the peripheral surface of the cover part located. In addition to a round profile comes as a cross section for the sealing ring also a flat profile in question.
- the sealing element can also as be formed in one piece with the cover part sealing lip, the is resilient. The sealing lip lies against the mounting head piece from the inside or the cylindrical pressure chamber of the applicator and seals this way. Another alternative is sealing between the cover part and the applicator (receiving headpiece and / or cylindrical pressure chamber) as a labyrinth seal.
- Labyrinth seals can be realized, for example, by the fact that the cover part on its peripheral surface at least one, and preferably has several ring projections.
- the cover part has a shoulder area on its peripheral edge within which the cover part the transition area from Grips end face to the peripheral wall of the tubular film bag.
- a such a shoulder piece-like structure of the lid part allowed improved guidance and positioning of the tubular film bag the receiving head piece or in the cylindrical pressure chamber of the applicator.
- Within the wrap-around edge of the lid part is quite flat Design of the cover part then enough space for attachment and Arrangement of the sealing element available.
- An alternative for the configuration of the cover part described above consists in the fact that it is designed in the manner of a disc which has no encompassing protruding edge and in whose by the Thickness of the disk certain circumferential surface arranged the sealing element is.
- the cover part is expediently designed as a ring part. This has in Advantages with regard to the reduced volume of material for the cover part.
- the ring part surrounds the tubular film bag in the transition area from it an end to the peripheral wall. In his remaining area the end of the tubular film bag is free. To that extent it defines Ring part a central passage opening, within which the connection with the outlet nozzle can also take place if this is arranged eccentrically is, the connection between the eccentric outlet connection and the passage opening essentially straight, that is without Significant diversions can take place, leading to increased flow resistance being able to lead.
- an annular one instead of an annular one
- Cover part uses a disc-like cover part and has the receiving head piece an eccentrically arranged outlet connection, so must, in the case of an eccentric arrangement of the outlet connection, the advantages a substantially rectilinear flow connection between the Passage opening and the outlet nozzle to use when inserting the Foil tubular bag in the pressure chamber of the applicator a certain Rotational orientation of the tubular film bag must be observed. This can be done but ensure with relatively little effort by using the cover part Engaging protrusions or recesses is equipped with correspond to engaging recesses / projections of the receiving head piece cooperate and thus the insertion of the lid part in the Allow pick-up headpiece in only one position (coding).
- the Cover part within its flat at the front end of the tubular film bag adjacent area has a (central) increase, which on the Constriction of the tubular film bag acts and this constriction in push the front end of the tubular film bag into it.
- FIG. 1 shows a film packaging 10 which is not according to the invention a tubular film bag 12 with a peripheral wall 14 and two Front ends 16, of which only one is shown. On the two Front ends 16 is the tubular film bag 12 by means of a closure clip 18 gathered and thus closed.
- a pasty substance 20 which is, for example, a component of a multi-component dental molding compound is.
- cover part 22 which is fixed to the front end 16 connected is.
- This cover part 22 has a tubular film bag 12 facing end face 24 and in its peripheral edge region 26 one of the end face 24 protruding edge 28, which in the manner of a shoulder Foil tubular bag 12 in the transition area 30 between its front End 16 and its peripheral wall 14 encloses.
- the cover part 22 extends over the entire front end 16 of the film packaging 10 and has a passage opening 32 in its end face 24 (see also FIG. 8) on. Through this passage opening 32 occurs when the tubular film bag 12 is open in the area of the passage opening 32, the pasty mass 20 out of the tubular film bag 12.
- the film packaging 10 is located in a cylindrical pressure chamber 34, on the end face shown End a receiving head piece 36 is placed.
- a receiving head piece 36 is placed in the not shown in Fig. 1
- other end of the cylindrical pressure chamber 34 protrudes Pressure stamp 38 into it (see FIG. 5), which is applied to the tubular film bag 12 acts to axially compress this and thus the pasty mass 20th to push out of the tubular film bag 12.
- the pressure chamber 34 is Part of a dispenser or applicator, not shown, with which the pasty mass can be discharged and applied.
- the receiving headpiece 36 is by means of a holder, also not shown, on FIG. 1 shown front end of the pressure chamber 34 held in position that detachment of the receiving headpiece 36 from the pressure chamber 34 is prevented when 38 pressure on the tubular film bag by means of the pressure stamp 12 is exercised.
- the receiving head 36 has a cap-like Structure with an end wall 40 and one along the circumference thereof End wall 40 on axially projecting peripheral edge 42. Inside the bulkhead 40 there is an outlet nozzle 44 with an outlet channel 46 which in the attached state of the receiving head piece 36 with the passage opening 32 is in fluid communication.
- the receiving head piece 36 also has a piercing dome 48, which is arranged on the inside of the end wall 40 and in the situation according to FIG. 1 through the passage opening 32 protrudes into the tubular film bag 12. So at the moment in which the receiving head piece 36 is placed on the cover part 22, piercing pin 48 penetrates end 16 of tubular film bag 12, which opens it automatically.
- the seal 50 is a separate sealing element 52 formed in the form of a ring which in the projecting edge 28 of the Cover part 22 is arranged.
- the edge 28 has a Circumferential receiving groove 53 (see also FIG. 2) in which the annular sealing element 52 is housed.
- the sealing element 52 thus faces radially outwards and lies from the inside on the projecting edge 42 of the receiving head piece 36 at.
- This protruding edge 42 runs on its inside 54 obliquely, so that the receiving head piece 36 to its end wall 40 tapered. This ensures a secure and tight contact of the sealing element 52 realized on the edge 42 of the receiving head piece 36.
- the sealing element 52 is either a flat seal (as shown in Figures 1 and 2) or around an O-ring. In both cases is used as a sealing element. used a separate part.
- FIGS. 3 and 4 Alternative configurations of the seal 50 of FIGS. 1 and 2 are in the FIGS. 3 and 4.
- the seal 50 'according to FIG. 3 has a sealing lip 52 ', which protrudes radially outward from the edge 28 of the cover part 22 and inside on the inside 54 of the edge 42 of the receiving head piece 36 is present.
- the seal 50 is a labyrinth seal formed, the several radially projecting and circumferential sealing ribs or sealing lips 52 ′′, which likewise form a seal on the edge 42 of the receiving head piece 36 when the receiving head piece 36 on the cover part 22 is placed.
- the seals 50 'and 50 "of FIGS. 3 and 4 are therefore configurations in which the sealing elements 52 'and 52 "are formed integrally with the cover part 22.
- the sealing element applies 52, 52 ', 52 "protrude radially from the cover part 22 tight closure of the cover part 22 with respect to the receiving head piece 36 also not only given when pressure is applied with the pressure stamp 38 the tubular film bag 12 is exerted, but is the tight seal guaranteed even when the tubular film bag 12 is relaxed and, if necessary, the cover part 22 essentially without pressure on the end wall 40 of the Recording head piece 36 abuts. This situation can always be found if the tubular film bag 12 is in the dispenser or applicator is located, but is not currently being applied with it.
- the receiving head 36 serves during this phase as a "touch" for the tubular film bag 12, which is due rub its fold on the inner wall of the pressure chamber 34 and thus only can be removed from the pressure chamber 34 with increased effort can.
- FIG. 6 shows, the removal of the tubular film bag in this way 12 from the pressure chamber 34 has taken place manual actuation of the extensions 60 by means of an inward movement the same in the direction of arrow 62 of FIG. 7, the locking device 64 unlocked and thus the cover part 22 and the receiving head piece 36 be separated from each other.
- Cover part 22 has a central elevation 66. So this survey 66 is circumferential collar 68 formed on the front end 16 of the tubular film bag 12 facing the inner end face of the cover part 22 is arranged. The collar 68 defines a receiving space 70 which is arranged centrally and for receiving the closure clip 18 of the Foil tubular bag 12 is used.
- Foil tubular bag 12 when pressure is applied by the pressure stamp 38 also pressed inwards at the front end 16. This has the advantage that the volume depends on the design remaining amount of pasty substance 20 in the tubular film bag 12 decreased.
- the impression of Foil tubular bag 12 at its front end 16 end Advantage that the tubular film bag 12 faces the edge of the front end 16 bulges out and thus becomes more reliable the first time it is used and fits closer to the edge of the passage opening 32 and more reliable can be torn open by the piercing pin 48.
- the Cover part 22 'of this film packaging is designed as a shoulder ring, the End face is an annular surface 24 ', from which the edge 28 extends. Due to its ring structure, the cover part 22 'defines one Passage opening 32 'within which most of the front end 16 of the Foil packaging is exposed.
- the opening of the from the outlet port 44th formed channel 46 on the inside of the receiving head 36 partly by one in particular integral with the receiving head piece 36 trained sealing lip 72, against which the tubular film bag 12 creates at its front end 16 when by means of the pressure stamp 38 pressure is exerted on the tubular film bag 12.
- This Sealing lip 72 thus provides a seal for the tubular film bag 12 whose front end 16 opposite the receiving head piece 36. So is also formed when the disc is not essentially full Cover part, as is the case with the embodiment of FIGS. 1 to 8 is the case ensured that the inside of the receiving head piece is smeared 36 is prevented by pasty mass 20.
- Figs. 11 and 12 is an embodiment of a film packaging according to the invention shown.
- the difference to the foil packaging described above It can be seen that the cover element 22 is different in two positions pushed far into the receiving head piece 36 Recording head piece 36 can be locked.
- the cover part 22 has radially protruding Locking projections 60, which in one of two circumferential inner grooves 80.82 can snap into place.
- These inner grooves 80,82 are cylindrical Circumferential edge 42 of the receiving head piece 36 formed and have different distances from the inner end face of the receiving head piece 36 on. In the position shown in FIG.
- the locking projections 60 are wider latched from the piercing mandrel 48 inner groove 80; in this condition the tubular film bag 12 is spaced from the piercing mandrel 48.
- the situation shown in FIG. 11 represents, for example, the transport state the foil packaging 10. The user must then to open the Foil tubular bag 12 only this further into the receiving head piece Push 36 (see Fig. 12) until the cover part 22 on the inside of the end face of the receiving head piece 36 abuts and the locking projections 60 in the inner circumferential groove 82 are immersed. In this state the protrudes Piercing mandrel 48 into the tubular film bag 12, which opens it.
- FIGS. 13 and 14 is a further alternative according to the invention based on the fig. 11 and 12 described film tube packaging.
- FIGS. 11 and 12 shows the film tube packaging according to FIGS. 13 and 14 one on the receiving head piece 36 prepositionable tubular film bags 12; in the figures 13 and 14, the situation is shown in which the cover part 22, the the tubular film bag 12 is connected in the pre-position (first position) is arranged on the receiving head piece 36. Contacted in this preposition the end of the tubular film bag 12 has not yet the piercing mandrel 48, but is spaced from this.
- a pin or bolt-shaped Locking element 84 used in the embodiment according to the FIGS. 13 and 14 in the outlet 44 .
- This is referred to below as the locking pin Locking element 84 can be located in the outlet port 44 between the first 13 and the second rotational position according to FIG. 14 twist.
- the locking pin 84 has a handle 86 on it the end of the outlet connector facing away from the tubular film bag 12 44 outstanding end 88. Im completely in the outlet port 44 inserted state, the locking pin 84 projects with its handle 86 opposite locking end 90 beyond the end of piercing pin 48 (see the route marked 92).
- This blocking end 90 lies directly opposite the cover part 22, so that the cover part 22 when the tubular film bag 12 accidentally during transport from the preposition is moved in the direction of the end position, for contact with the Locking end 90 of the locking pin 84 comes. This will move the Foil tubular bag 12 limited in the direction of piercing pin 48.
- the locking pin 84 is not inadvertently in its locking position according to FIG. 13 can move axially out of the outlet port 44, it is in this Locked position locked on the receiving head 36.
- To this end is located in the shaft 94 of the locking pin 84 radially after externally open locking groove 96 with a locking surface 98, the the flank of the locking groove 96 which is closer to the cover part 22 becomes.
- This locking surface 98 acts with a locking surface 100 of the receptacle head 36 together by a projection 102 is formed, which extends radially into the extension of the of the outlet port 44th formed outlet channel 46 protrudes.
- the shaft 94 of the locking pin 84 is in the part in which the Locking groove 96 is formed, half cut free, based on what 14 can be seen. In the remaining part of the blocking end 90, the locking groove 96 is incorporated. In this way it is possible by rotating the locking pin 84, the locking groove 96 from the projection 102 to move away, so that the locking surface 98 the locking pin 84 no longer in contact with the locking surface 100 of the receiving head piece 36. 14 can thus the locking pin 84 is now moved axially out of the outlet port 44 be, so that the tubular film bag 12 then in the direction of allows the piercing mandrel 48 to move into the end position.
- the locking element 84 runs parallel to the cover part 22 and the end wall 40 of the receiving head piece 36 by the between the two Gap when it is in its locked position according to FIGS. 15 and 16 occupies.
- the locking element 84 which in turn is designed as a bolt or pin extends secantially through the receiving head piece 36 with a cylindrical edge 42 therethrough.
- the revolving Edge 42 two openings 104,106. While getting to grips with the real thing 86 adjoining part of the locking element 84 extends through the opening 106, the other end 108 of the locking element 84 projects through the other Opening 104.
- the locking element 84 is locked on the receiving head piece 36 by means of a locking projection protruding radially from the locking element 84 110, which, depending on the rotational position of the locking element 84, in a corresponding Locking recess 112 within opening 106 is immersed (see the locking position of the locking element 84 reproducing fig. 17, 18 and 20).
- the locking projection 110 In the unlocked position (see the figures 16 and 19), the locking projection 110 is out of the locking recess 112 moved out, so that the locking element 84 in the axial Direction are pulled out of the two openings 104, 106 can.
- the locking projection engages behind 110 thus a counter-projection 122, which the locking recess 112 limited to the outside of the edge 42 of the receiving head piece 36.
