Abstract
Verfahren zur destillativen Abtrennung eines Teiles oder der Gesamtheit eines Azepin-Derivats (III) ausgewählt aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Aminohexylidenimin, Tetrahydroazepin, Hexylhexahydroazepin und Aminohexylhexahydroazepin aus einer Mischung (II) enthaltend ein Azepin-Derivat (III) und ein Amin (I), dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man die Destillation bei einer Kopftemperatur von 160 bis 250 DEG C durchführt.

Verfahren zur Abtrennung eines Azepin-Derivats aus einer Mischung enthaltend ein Amin und ein Azepin-Derivat
Beschreibung
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur destillati- ven Abtrennung eines Teiles oder der Gesamtheit eines Azepin-De- rivatse (III) ausgewählt aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Tetrahy- droazepin, 2-Aminoazepan, N- (2-Azepano) -1, 6-Diaminohexan und
N- (2-Azepano) -6-Aminocapronitril aus einer Mischung (II) enthaltend ein Azepin-Derivat (III) und ein Amin (I) ausgewählt aus der Gruppe bestehend aus 6-Aminocapronitril und Hexamethylendiamin, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man die Destillation bei einer Kopf- temperatur von 160 bis 250°C durchführt.
Mischungen enthaltend ein Amin und ein Azepin-Derivat fallen üblicherweise bei der Hydrierung von Nitrilen zu Aminen an.
Die vollständige Hydrierung von Adipodinitril (ADN) zu Hexamethylendiamin (HMD), sowie die partielle Hydrierung unter gleichzeitiger Herstellung von HMD und 6-Aminocapronitril (ACN) , in Gegenwart eines Katalysators auf der Basis eines Metalls wie Nickel, Cobalt, Eisen, Rhodium oder Ruthenium ist allgemein bekannt, bei- spielsweiwe aus: K.Weissermel, H.-J.Arpe, Industrielle Organische Chemie, 3.Auflage, VCH Verlagsgesellschaft mbH, Weinheim, 1988, Seite 266, US-A 4 601 859, US-A 2 762 835, US-A 2 208 598, DE-A 848 654, DE-A 954 416, DE-A 42 35 466, US-A 3 696 153, DE-A 19500222, WO 92/21650 und der Deutschen Anmeldung 19548289.1.
Als Nebenprodukte entstehen unter anderem Azepin-Derivate wie N- (2-Azepano) -1, 6-Diaminohexan und N- (2-Azepano) -6-Aminocaproni - tril, insbesondere 2-Aminoazepan und Tetrahydroazepin.
Diese Azepin-Derivate, die wegen ihrer Farbgebung und Verschlechterung der Produkteigenschaften unerwünschte Verunreinigungen der üblicherweise für die Herstellung von Kunstfasern verwendeten Amine darstellen, lassen sich nur mit erheblichem Aufwand von den Aminen abtrennen.
So ist aus GB-A-893 709 bekannt, einen Verweilzeitbehälter in die Rückflußleitung einer für die Reinigung von HMD verwendeten Destillationskolonne einzubauen.
GB-A-1 238 351 beschreibt die Abtrennung von HMD aus Mischungen, die HMD und Azepin-Derivate enthalten, durch Zugabe von Akalihy- droxid-Gemischen.
Aus GB-A-1 041 442 ist bekannt, in eine für die Abtrennung von HMD aus Mischungen, die HMD und Azepin-Derivate enthalten, verwendete Destillationskolonne während der Destillation Kohlendioxid einzuleiten.
Nachteilige bei den genannten Verfahren sind die Anwendung großer Behälter mit einer verschlechterten Regelbarkeit der Destillationskolonnen und die Bildung von Feststoffen, die zu Verstopfungen führen können.
Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung war es daher, ein Verfahren bereitzustellen, das die Abtrennung eines Azepin-Derivats aus Mischungen a-enthaltend ein Amin und ein Azepin-Derivate, auf technisch einfache und wirtschaftliche Weise ermöglicht.
Demgemäß wurde das eingangs definierte Verfahren gefunden.
Als Amine I kommen aromatische Amine wie Benzylamin, aliphatische Amine wie cyclische Amine, beispielsweise Isophorondiamin oder vorzugsweise acyclische Amine, beispielsweise 1,4-Diaminobutan, insbesondere HMD oder ACN, sowie deren Gemische in Betracht.
Die Herstellung solcher Amine kann in an sich bekannter Weise erfolgen.
So kann HMD durch partielle oder vollständige katalytische
Hydrierung mit einem molekularen Wasserstoff enthaltenden Gas von ADN zu HMD oder Mischungen, die HMD und ACN enthalten, erhalten werden.
Als Katalysatoren können bei dieser Hydrierung vorteilhaft solche auf der Basis eines Metalles ausgewählt aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Ruthenium, Rhodium, Nickel, Cobalt, vorzugsweise Eisen eingesetzt werden, wobei die Katalysatoren weitere Elemente als Promotoren enthalten können. Im Falle von Katalysatoren auf der Basis von Eisen kommen als Promotoren insbesondere ein oder mehrere, wie zwei, drei, vier oder fünf Elemente ausgewählt aus der Gruppe bestehend aus Aluminium, Silizium, Zirkonium, Titan und Vanadium in Betracht.
Solche Katalysatoren sowie die Verfahrensbedingungen für die genannte Umsetzung sind beispielsweise in WO-A-96/20166 , der Deutschen Anmeldung 19 636 768.9 und der Deutschen Anmeldung 19 646 436. beschrieben.
Die nach den genannten Verfahren erhaltenen Produkte können anschließend vorteilhaft in Gegenwart von auf Edelmetallen, wie Platin, Palladium oder deren Gemischen, basierenden Katalysatoren mit molekularen Wasserstoff enthaltenden Gasen nachhydriert werden.
Als Azepin-Derivate III kommen insbesondere 2-Aminoazepan der Formel
N- (2-Azepano) -1, 6-Diaminohexan der Formel
N- (2-Azepano) -6-Aminocapronitril
und THA der Formel
sowie deren Gemische in Betracht.
Die Azepin-Derivate (III) können in der Mischung (II) als ein- zelne Verbindungen oder als Addukte, beispielsweise an ein
Amin (I) , vorliegen, wobei diese Addukte im Sinne der vorliegenden Erfindung ebenfalls als Azepin-Derivate (III) bezeichnet werden.
Solche Azepin-Derivate sowie Verfahren zu deren Herstellung sind allgemein bekannt.
So können 2-Aminoazepan, N- (2-Azepano) -1, 6-Diaminohexan und N- (2-Azepano) -6-Aminocapronitril und Tetrahydroazepin bei der partiellen katalytischen Hydrierung mit einem molekularen Wasserstoff enthaltenden Gas von ADN zu HMD oder Mischungen, die HMD 5 und ACN enthalten, in der Regel in Mengen von 1 bis 10000 ppm bezogen auf das Gemisch nach den für die Herstellung der Amine (I) beschriebenen Verfahren in Mischungen (II) erhalten werden.
Erfindungsgemäß destilliert man bei Kopftemperaturen von 160 bis 10 250°C, vorzugsweise 175 bis 230°C, insbesondere 185 bis 220°C.
Setzt man als Amin (I) HMD und als Azepin-Derivat (III) eine oder mehrere Verbindungen ausgewählt aus der Gruppe bestehend aus AHI, HHA, AHHA und THA ein, so sollte der Destillationsdruck, gemessen 15 am Kopf der Destillations-Apparatur, 0,3 bis 3 bar, vorzugsweise 0,5 bis 2 bar, insbesondere 0,7 bis 1,5 bar betragen.
Eine Destillation bei Drücken im Bereich des Umgebungsdrucks hat den Vorteil, daß kein Luftsauerstoff über Leckluft in die 20 Destillationsapparatur gelangt. Sauerstoff kann zur Bildung eines Azepin-Derivats (III) aus einem Amin (I) , beispielsweise zur Bildung von THA aus HMD führen.
Setzt man als Amin (I) ACN und als Azepin-Derivat (III) eine oder 25 mehrere Verbindungen ausgewählt aus der Gruppe bestehend aus 2-Aminoazepan, N- (2-Azepano) -1, 6-Diaminohexan und N- (2-Azepano) -6-Aminocapronitril und Tetrahydroazepin ein, so sollte der Destillationsdruck, gemessen am Kopf der Destillations-Apparatur, 0,1 bis 1,3 bar, vorzugsweise 0,18 bis 0,85 bar, 30 insbesondere 0,25 bis 0,65 bar betragen.
Für die Destillation kommen hierfür übliche Apparaturen in Betracht, wie sie beispielsweise in: Kirk-Othmer, Encyclopedia of Chemical Technology, 3. Ed., Vol. 7, John Wiley & Sons, New York, 35 1979, Seite 870-881 beschrieben sind, wie Siebbodenkolonnen, Glockenbodenkolonnen, Packungskolonnen oder Füllkörperkolonnen.
Die Destillation kann man in mehreren, wie 2 oder 3 Kolonnen, vorteilhaft einer einzigen Kolonne durchführen.

Bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Verfahren erhält man üblicherweise den überwiegenden Teil an Azepin-Derivat (III) als Sumpfprodukt . Dieses Sumpfprodukt kann man vorteilhaft mit einer Verbindung enthaltend mindestens eine Kohlenstoff-Stickstoff-Mehrfachbindung 45 (IV) , wie ADN, mischen und diese Mischung in an sich bekannter Weise, beispielsweise nach den bereits für die Herstellung von HMD oder Mischungen enthaltend HMD und ACN genannten Verfahren,
einer katalytischen Hydrierung unter Erhalt eines Amins (I) , wie HMD oder Mischungen, die HMD und ACN enthalten, unterwerfen.
HMD und ACN stellen Vorstufen zur Herstellung von technisch wich- 5 tigen Polyamiden, wie Nylon 6 oder Nylon 6.6 dar.
Beispiele
In den Beispielen sind Prozentangaben Gewichtsprozente, soweit 10 nichts anderes angegeben.
THA bedeutet Tetrahydroazepin.
Die Produktgemische wurden gaschromatographisch analysiert. Die 15 Menge an THA wurde bei Konzentrationen unter 20 ppm polarogra- phisch bestimmt.
Beispiel 1
20 269 g/h eines Gemisches enthaltend 0,088 % THA und der Rest HMD wurden einer Destillations-Kolonne mit einer druckverlustarmen Gewebepackung entsprechend ca. 33 theoretischen Trennstufen kontinuierlich zugeführt. Am Kopf der Kolonne wurde ein Druck von 400 mbar eingestellt, konstant 256 g/h Destillat abgezogen und
25 256 g/h Rücklauf aufgegeben (RücklaufVerhältnis = 1) .
Der über einen Bilanzzeitraum von 17 h im stationären Betrieb gesammelte Kopfaustrag enthielt neben HMD 0,024 % THA. Im Sumpfaus - trag (13 g/h) wurden 1.7 % THA analysiert.

Die Beispiele 2-4 und Vergleichsbeispiel 1 und 2 wurden wie Beispiel 1 durchgeführt, jedoch mit den aus Tabelle 1 ersichtlichen Parametern.
Claims
1. Verfahren zur destillativen Abtrennung eines Teiles oder der Gesamtheit eines Azepin-Derivats (III) ausgewählt aus der
Gruppe bestehend aus, Tetrahydroazepin, 2-Aminoazepan, N- (2-Azepano) -1, 6-Diaminohexan und N- (2-Azepano) -6-Aminoca- pronitril aus einer Mischung (II) enthaltend ein Azepin-Derivat (III) und ein Amin (I) , dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man die Destillation bei einer Kopftemperatur von 160 bis 250°C durchführt .
2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, wobei man ein Amin (I) einsetzt, ausgewählt aus der Gruppe bestehend aus 6-Aminocapronitril und Hexamethylendiamin.
3. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 oder 2 , wobei man das Azepin-Deri - vat (III) bei der Destillation überwiegend als Sumpfprodukt erhält und dieses Sumpfprodukt mit einer Verbindung enthal- tend mindestens eine Kohlenstoff-Stickstoff-Mehrfachbindung (IV) mischt und diese Mischung einer Hydrierung unter Erhalt eines Amins (I) unterwirft.
4. Verfahren nach Anspruch 3, wobei man als Verbindung (IV) Adipodinitril einsetzt.
