Der verstärkte Einsatz der Außenhochdruckumformung als preiswerte Alternative bei der Kleinserienfertigung führt zu einem wachsenden Bedarf entsprechend ausgerüsteter Umformpressen. Vorteilhaft auf eine Verfahrensverbesserung wirken sich auch die Entwicklungen in der hydraulischen und elektronischen Regelungstechnik aus. Eine auch nach dem Außenhochdruckumformen arbeitenden Kombipresse ist in der DE 198 19 950 offenbart. Zusätzlich ist diese als Hydraulikpresse ausgebildete Maschine noch für die Umformung durch Innenhochdruck und als Tiefziehpresse konzipiert. Für den Einsatzfall Außenhochdruckumformen ergeben sich dann folgende Verfahrensschritte :

Die in dieser Phase auftretenden großen Kräfte werden durch Zusammenwirkung mit den eingefahrenen Stößelverriegelungen 8 und Werkzeugdistanzen 12 in einer Art geschlossenen System aufgenommen. Hier zeigt sich eine weiterer Vorteil der gewählten Anordnung, da die Kompressibilität des Fluidmediums im wesentlichen bei diesem Konzept ausgeschlossen ist.FIG. 2 shows the situation at bottom dead center. Claims (8)

  1. Press for external hydroforming with a lockable ram (2) which can be moved up and down and a plate holder (3), with a plate holder cylinder (7), with pressure-regulated fluid box (10) receiving pressure medium (14) and with working cylinder (6) for shaping, characterised in that ram (2) and a plate holder (3) are driven together when they are moved up and down, wherein the plate hold cylinder (7) being designed as a short stroke cylinder and the working cylinder (6) bearing the tool being integrated in the ram (2).
  2. Press for external hydroforming according to claim 1, characterised in that ram (2) and a plate holder (3) can be driven by a common driving cylinder (5).
  3. Press for external hydroforming according to claim 1, characterised in that short stroke cylinders (7) are freely selectable in arrangement and/or number.
  4. Press for external hydroforming according to claim 1, characterised in that fluid couplings (16) are provided on the ram (2).
  5. Press for external hydroforming according to claim 1, characterised in that short stroke cylinders (7) can be controlled individually or in groups.
  6. Press for external hydroforming according to claim 1, characterised in that short stroke cylinders (7) can be pressure-regulated according to predetermined desired curves for the plate holding force.
  7. Press for external hydroforming according to claim 1, characterised in that short stroke cylinder (7) can be subjected to pressure in such a way that the blank (11) can be fixed.
  8. Press for external hydroforming according to claim 1, characterised in that the tool (9) can be locked by tool spacers (12).
