- the closest state of the art is seen in FR-A-1,058,551.
- the front group of a motor vehicle comprises the powertrain, a cradle arranged below the powertrain and two suspension arms intended to provide support to the ground of the front group and the body through the wheels of the vehicle.
- the powertrain itself consists of the engine and the motor vehicle gearbox and carries transmission members motor torque to the wheels, which are connected to the motor in an articulated manner.
- the cradle, the suspension arms and the motor are themselves connected between them in an articulated way.
- the front group carried by the traveling trolley machine arrives at a point in the assembly line where the group front must be supported by lifting and handling means such as an overhead crane, to be transported and deposited on means allowing to introduce and mount the front group in the body of a vehicle automobile.
- lifting and handling means such as an overhead crane
- the front group is in fact made up, as indicated above, by elements articulated between them whose relative provisions are not fixed.

- the cradle which is not rigidly connected to the group powertrain and which consists of stamped elements or sheets painted and treated against corrosion, can undergo, during the transport of front group, shocks from the engine which moves relative to the cradle during the transport of the group before, if the attachment of the group before is not carried out in such a way as to prevent any possibility of shock.
- the cradle may be damaged, such as scratches, to the detriment of its aesthetic appearance and its resistance to corrosion.
- a difficulty stems from the fact that on vehicle assembly lines automobiles, we very often assemble vehicles of the same type with different engines. Therefore on an assembly line of a motor vehicle, it may be necessary to insert and mount in the vehicle body of the groups before five or six or more different types, having dimensional characteristics and clean geometric. In this case, it is necessary to design a device for attaching the front group to the handling bridge which can be adapted to each group before mounting.
- a hanging device which comprises a mechanically welded support rigid mainly consisting of tubes comprising a hooking member of the hook of the hoist for lifting a handling means on an upper part and two curved arms directed downwards and each terminated by a support bowl with a support part of an arm suspension of the front group.
