Die Transportkette 18 ist mit im Abstand zueinander angeordneten und an ihr festgesetzten Ablageebenen 19 bestückt, welche bei betπebener Fördereinrichtung, z. B. in Richtung des Pfeiles I, in horizontaler Stellung angeordnet sind und welche zur Ablage von als Lagergut 20 dienenden Nahrungsmitteln z. B. abgepackten Fisch oder abgepacktes Fleisch oder dergleichen dienen. Die mit dem Lagergut 20 bestückten Ablageebenen 19 sind durch die Fördereinrichtung 16 ummittelbar in den Zugriffsbereich der Zugangsöffnung 13 bringbar, zu welcher versetzt im rückwärtigen Bereich, außerhalb des Verschwenkbereiches der Abdeckung 14 eine zum optischen Erfassen der Nahrungsmittel dienende optische Abbildungseinrichtung vorgesehen ist, welche im voriie- genden Fall als Scaneinrichtung 21 ausgebildet ist. Diese ist am Gehäuse 11 festgesetzt und mit nicht dargestellten Datenleitungen mit einer ebenso nicht dargestellten Datenverarbeitungseinrichtung und einem als Touch-screen ausgebildeten Bildschirm 22 verbunden. Der Bildschirm 22 ist ebenso wie die Scaneinπchtung 21 im rückwärtigen Bereich der Deckenwandung 12, außerhalb des Verschwenkbereiches der Abdeckung 14 am Gehäuse 11 befestigt. Der Bildschirm 22 dient zur Anzeige der von der Scaneinrichtung 21 optisch erfaßten und bildschirmgerecht aufbereiteten, zur Einlagerung im Lagerraum 15 gekommenen Nahrungsmittel 20, von welchem verkleinerte Abbildungen 23 symbolähnlich am Bildschirm 22 dargestellt sind. An der Datenverarbeitungseinrichtung sind die optisch am Lagergut 20 erfaßten Daten, wie die bildliche Darstellung des abgepackten Lagergutes und dessen Verfalldatum, in einem Speicher hinteriegt und von diesem bei Bedarf abrufbar, wobei mit der datentechnischen Hinterlegung das Haltbarkeitsdatums eines Nahrungsmittels von einer in der Datenverarbeitungs- einnchtung integrierten Systemuhr bis zum Erreichen des Verfalldatums überwacht und bei Überschreitung des Verfalldatums ein Warnsignal ausgelost ist.
