Definitions

  • the present invention relates to the field of household ovens and relates to a removable heating sub-assembly for such an oven, according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • a removable heating sub-assembly for such an oven according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such a subset is known from US 2,137,149.
  • This document shows a removable sub-assembly for oven connected by a central outlet.
  • a removable subset includes heating elements arranged flat, a grid and a plate being arranged on both sides of the heating element extension plan.
  • This subset can be inserted one way or the other, so that present the plate facing the vault or the bottom of the oven.
  • the plate this sub-element only serves as a reflector, the grid making it possible to heat radiation food.
  • the structure of this subset is complex and its complicated cleaning, because the structure is not removable.
  • document US Pat. No. 5,272,317 also describes a reversible system heater, having, according to one embodiment, a grid and a plate, cooking can be carried out on the plate, or by radiation by the other side with a grid.
  • This sub-assembly is intended to replace an arch, floor, or can be placed in an intermediate position. he is however the only heating element in the oven and has no central connection. In addition, this sub-assembly cannot be easily cleaned, because its structure is not removable.
  • One of the objects of the present invention is the design of a sub-assembly oven heater which, like those described above, is removable and reversible, allowing the volume of the furnace to be divided so as to present several applications and uses, but which, moreover, is of simple structure, by presenting on one side a plate and on the other side the exposed resistance, the resistance being easily removable from the plate so that cleaning of both elements be facilitated.
  • the present invention is achieved using a removable sub-assembly of heater for household appliance, composed of a heating element comprising, at its ends, electrical connection pins intended for be connected to complementary pins located inside the oven in view of the electrical supply to the heating element, of a support grid on which is fixed said heating element, and a plate partially covering the grid and the heating element, characterized in that the plate and / or the grid include assembly means by elastic socket allowing to assemble the plate and the grid carrying the heating element, so that it is possible to separate said grid from said plate.
  • the present invention it is thus possible, by the present invention, to separate the grid bearing the heating element, the hob or reflector. It is indeed important, to be able to have, on such a removable sub-assembly, the plate only and resistance only so that they can be cleaned more easily, their mutual disconnection avoiding inaccessible areas where the grease, difficult to remove, can get lodged. It is then possible to put the plate in the dishwasher.
  • Another advantage linked to this possible disconnection between the grid and the plate, is to be able to use different plates depending on the type of cooking wish.
  • the assembly means are formed by an elastic means located on the grid, the plate being provided a U-shaped rim on two opposite sides, the elastic means making it possible to constrain and maintain the grid between the two edges of the plate.
  • This structure allows to present few elements to realize the function of support, allowing easy removal of the grid from the edges of the plate, while ensuring easy cleaning of the elements, and allowing reduce the costs associated with this function.
  • the heating sub-assembly according to the present invention is intended for be inserted in an oven at one or more predetermined height (s), in order to allow, by the additional heating power available, different and / or faster cooking modes.
  • the sub-assembly according to the present invention is composed of two parts.
  • the first, referenced 1, as illustrated in FIG. 1 and designated by the following heating grid, consists of a heating element 2 arranged in laces on uprights 10 of a flat grid 8. Maintaining this element in amounts is made for example, by welding points 14.
  • This element heater can be a shielded resistor or a coiled resistive element.
  • connection pin 4 representing the phase and neutral contacts when connecting the plate to the oven, for feeding heating element.
  • a pin 6, corresponding to the earth connection is located between these two pins 4.
  • the ground pin 6 is located on the middle of side 5 of the grid 8, the pins 4 of neutral and phase being symmetrically arranged on both sides of the earth pin.
  • Such a pin arrangement will be referred to as a connection central in the following description.
  • the heating grid is thus reversible, since it has a central connection.
  • the second part of this sub-assembly is composed of a plate 20 such as shown in Figures 2 to 4.
  • This plate traditionally in enamelled aluminum, partially covers one of the faces defined by grid 1.
  • the plate 20 has two U-shaped edges 22 on two opposite sides of the plaque.
  • one of the flanges 22 has a opening 24 allowing passage of the central grid connection heater 1, as shown in Figures 3 and 4.
  • the grid is equipped with an elastic means 18 located on one of the edges of the grid 8, intended to cooperate with the flanges 22, that is to say, in this first embodiment, on the edge carrying the central connection, or the opposite.
  • this elastic means can be positioned on the plate 20, in particular inside the rim 22.
  • This elastic means can be produced in different ways: it can be a flexible blade, such as a curved metal blade, as in the example presented, or a spring type element, any device presenting elastic properties at 300 ° C which can be used without departing from the scope present invention.
  • the elastic means 18 is constrained until the edge opposite can in turn be positioned against the plate 20 ( Figure 2b). from then, by releasing the pressure exerted on part 1, the elastic means relaxes and pushes the heating grid 1 under the rim 22 located opposite it, as shown in Figure 2c.
  • the plate 20 is thus positioned on one of the faces of the grid 8 and of the heating grid 1.
  • the flange 22 where the elastic means is located is slightly longer than the facing flange, to allow the spring to exercise its reminder function.
  • the means elastic 18 is mostly hidden from the cooking atmosphere by the plate 20 and the flange 22, so as to avoid its premature fouling by various splashes during a cooking operation, fouling likely in particular to lead to the blocking of the return means 18.
  • the amounts 10 of the grid 8 have spacers 12 allowing, during the positioning of the grid on the plate, to maintain the latter at a certain distance from the heating element, slightly moving the plate 20 apart of the heating element 2. This arrangement allows the heat to be distributed communicated to the plate 20 by the heating element 2.
  • Figure 3 shows the sub-assembly in a use where the plate is arranged under the heating element.
  • Such an arrangement in an oven, allows to use the heating element, together with the vault heating element oven to allow simultaneous grilling of both sides of a food located on a grid between the two heating elements.
  • the plate serves as a reflector and has advantageously a surface conducive to the reflection of heat, by its shape which can be slightly concave to concentrate the heat, as well as by the material used.
  • Figure 4 shows the sub-assembly in a use where the plate is located on the heating element. This arrangement is simply obtained by returning the sub-assembly shown in figure 3, the central connection allowing the reversible use of the sub-assembly.
  • the plate serves as a baking sheet and is advantageously made of a material which is a good heat conductor.
  • the heating grid 1 has a distance between the two sides of the plate not participating in maintaining the grid lower than the distance between the two sides of the corresponding grid.
  • Plate 20 is therefore smaller than the grid 8, in the dimension transverse to the device for maintenance.
  • An alternative embodiment of the present invention consists in using the two other edges of the plate as a means of retaining the grid, which avoids opening 24 for the passage of the central connection, but requires secure the maintenance of the two constituent parts, the sliding of the grid in the plate not being totally excluded.
  • a flange 22 can be provided as in the example. presented, but the assembly means consist of at least one clip elastic 26 disposed on the plate and intended to cooperate with the grid 8, as as illustrated in FIG. 5.
  • the attachment of the clip (s) 26 can be carried out by any known means, allowing the grid to be held by its side opposite to the connection, or by each of the lateral sides, jointly with the flange 22.
  • FIG. 6 shows an improvement made to the protection of the pins connection 4 and 6. Indeed, when removing the heating sub-assembly, the protruding connection pins may deform by impact with the environment.
  • So protective pins 30 slightly longer than the pins connection 4 and 6 are connected to the earth and arranged on the grid 8, on both sides others of said connection pins, thereby ensuring their protection.
  • these pins are slightly larger in diameter than the diameter pins carrying the phase and neutral contacts so as not to cooperate with the openings provided in the oven to receive said pins connection 4 and 6.
  • These protective pins 30, when connecting the sub-assembly of heaters, can be accommodated in openings provided for this purpose and located in the oven. These pins can also be mounted sliding against a return means in order to retract when connecting said sub-assembly in the oven.
  • Protection against deformation of the connection pins due to shock can also be considered using a removable sliding or pivoting cover on the pins and covering the connection pins at least according to one faces of the heating sub-assembly.
  • this plate can be flat for baking like pie or pizza, or crenellated, wavy for cooking meat, this plate can integrate a rim to collect cooking juices.
  • the present invention therefore finds all its advantage by allowing you to quickly and easily change the plate associated with the grid carrying the heating element.
  • Figure 7 shows an example of a support plate variant used for a barbecue function in an oven, as explained below.
  • the plate, support of the grid provided with the heating element comprises a bottom 34 forming a bowl by its edges 32.
  • This plate always has the edges 22 allowing, with the edges 32, the holding of the heating grid 1.
  • the bowl, formed by the bottom 34 and the edges 32 collects the juices formed when cooking food placed on an intermediate grid, between the heating sub-element and the roof of the oven.
  • this grid is arranged on the edges 22 of the sub-assembly. heater, as shown in figure 8.
  • an intermediate grid 44 is connected to the plate support of the heating grid 1.
  • This grid is raised relative to the heating element so that the cooking of food disposed on said grid intermediate 44 is homogeneous.
  • the support plate comprises, in accordance with the invention, flanges 22 and 42 for holding the heating grid 1.
  • the intermediate grid 44 can adopt one of the previous configurations, it is to say have a flat bottom, as shown in Figures 3 and 4 in particular, or well, a bowl-shaped bottom, as shown in Figure 7.
  • the intermediate grid 44 is permanently placed on the plate support, the latter then has only two edges 42, such that shown in Figure 8, in order to be able to assemble and separate the heating grid 1 from the support plate. Dripping juices from food can then be collected in a drip pan placed under the heating sub-assembly.
  • the barbecue function can be easily implemented by the present invention which facilitates the cleaning of the various elements, cleaning made all the more more difficult by the presence of juice charred by heat.
