Abstract

Ein Kalander für Bahnen aus Feuchtigkeit enthaltendem Material, wie Papier, besitzt einen zwei Seitenteile (4) aufweisenden Ständer (3) und einen Walzenstapel (5). Zwischen den Seitenteilen (4) befindet sich ein zumindest durch den Walzenstapel (5) und die Bahn (6) begrenzter Raum (11). Ein Gebläse (13) bläst trockene Luft in den begrenzten Raum (11). Die Gebläseluftdaten können durch einen Rechner (14) vorgegeben sein, der durch Meßwerte eines Feuchtigkeitssensors (15) und/oder eines Temperatursensors (16) beeinflußt wird. Auf diese Weise kann eine gesättigende Atmosphäre in dem umgrenzten Raum (11) vermieden werden.
