  • the process of bleaching fabrics according to the present invention preferably comprises the steps of first contacting said fabrics with a bleaching composition according to the present invention, then allowing said fabrics to remain in contact with said composition, for a period of time sufficient to bleach said fabrics, then rinsing said fabrics with water. If said fabrics are to be washed, i.e., with a conventional composition comprising at least one surface active agent, the washing of said fabrics with a detergent composition comprising at least one surface active agent may be conducted before the step of contacting said fabrics with said bleaching composition and/or in the step where said fabrics are contacted with said bleaching composition and/or after the step where said fabrics are contacted with the bleaching composition and before the rinsing step and/or after the rinsing step.
  • the bleaching composition may be used in dilute or neat form. Where it is used diluted, the bleaching composition should remain in contact with the fabric for typically 1 to 60 minutes, preferably 5 to 30 minutes. Whereas, when the bleaching composition is used in its neat form, it should remain in contact with the fabric for a much shorter time, typically 5 seconds to 30 minutes, preferably 1 minute to 10 minutes.
  • the liquid bleaching composition of the present invention is contacted to the fabrics in its neat form and the bleach according to the present invention is a hypohalite bleach
  • the level of said hypohalite bleach is from 0.01% to 5%, preferably from 0.1% to 3.5%, more preferably from 0.2% to 2% and most preferably from 0.2% to 1%.
  • the present invention provides liquid hypohalite bleach-containing compositions that may be applied neat onto a fabric to bleach.
  • the bleaching pretreatment operation may also be followed by the diluted bleaching process as described above either in bucket (hand operation) or in a washing machine.
  • the present invention also encompasses a process of treating a hard-surface.
  • the hard-surfaces to be treated is contacted with a composition, as defined herein.
  • the present invention also encompasses a process of treating a hard-surface with a composition, as defined herein, wherein said process comprises the step of applying said composition to said hard-surface, preferably only soiled portions thereof, and optionally rinsing said hard-surface.

Claims (25)

  1. Composition de blanchiment aqueuse liquide comprenant un agent de blanchiment, un agent tensioactif anionique sulfoné, et un agent tensioactif non ionique essentiellement linéaire, dans laquelle ledit agent tensioactif non ionique essentiellement linéaire est de formule générale: R - (A)x - (B)y - (C)z - O - R1 dans laquelle: R est une chaíne alkyle paire en C6 à C22 ou l'un de ses mélanges, contenant au moins 90 % de chaínes alkyles linéaires; A est un motif éthoxy; B est un motif butoxy; C est un motif propoxy; x, y et z sont des entiers indépendants allant de 0 à 20; la somme x + y + z est au moins égale à 1; et R1 est H, une chaíne alkyle en C6 à C22 ou une chaíne alkylbenzène en C6 à C28.
  2. Composition de blanchiment selon la revendication 1, ladite composition comprenant de 0,01 % à 30 %, en poids de la composition totale, dudit agent tensioactif non ionique essentiellement linéaire.
  3. Composition de blanchiment selon les revendications 1 à 2, ladite composition comprenant de 0,01 % à 30 %, de préférence de 0,1 % à 25 %, plus préférablement de 0,5 % à 20 %, en poids de la composition totale, dudit agent tensioactif anionique sulfoné.
  4. Composition de blanchiment selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans laquelle R est une chaíne alkyle contenant au moins 95 % de chaínes alkyles linéaires.
  5. Composition de blanchiment selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans laquelle y et z sont tous deux égaux à 0 et x va de 1 à 15.
  6. Composition de blanchiment selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, ladite composition comprenant en outre un co-tensioactif.
  7. Composition de blanchiment selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans laquelle ledit agent de blanchiment est un agent de blanchiment peroxygéné.
  8. Composition de blanchiment selon la revendication 6, dans laquelle ledit agent de blanchiment peroxygéné est choisi dans le groupe constitué par: le peroxyde d'hydrogène; des sources hydrosolubles de peroxyde d'hydrogène; des peracides organiques ou inorganiques; des hydroperoxydes; et des peroxydes de diacyle; et leurs mélanges.
  9. Composition de blanchiment selon la revendication 6, dans laquelle ledit agent de blanchiment peroxygéné est choisi dans le groupe constitué par le peroxyde d'hydrogène et les peroxydes de diacyle et leurs mélanges.
  10. Composition de blanchiment selon l'une quelconque des revendications 6 à 8, ladite composition comprenant de 0,01 % à 30 %, en poids de la composition totale, dudit agent de blanchiment peroxygéné.
  11. Composition de blanchiment selon l'une quelconque des revendications 6 à 9, dans laquelle R1 est l'hydrogène.
  12. Composition de blanchiment selon l'une quelconque des revendications 6 à 10, ladite composition ayant un pH allant de 1 à 9 et comprend un agent acidifiant ou un de ses mélanges.
  13. Composition de blanchiment selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 5, dans laquelle ledit agent de blanchiment est un agent de blanchiment de type hypohalite.
  14. Composition de blanchiment selon la revendication 12, dans laquelle ledit agent de blanchiment de type hypohalite est un hypochlorite de métal alcalin et/ou de métal alcalino-terreux choisi dans le groupe constitué par les hypochlorites de sodium, de potassium, de magnésium, de lithium et de calcium, et leurs mélanges.
  15. Composition de blanchiment selon l'une quelconque des revendications 12 à 13, dans laquelle l'agent de blanchiment de type hypohalite, en se basant sur l'halogénure actif, est présent en une quantité allant de 0,01 % à 20 % en poids de la composition de blanchiment.
  16. Composition de blanchiment selon l'une quelconque des revendications 12 à 14, dans laquelle R1 est une chaíne alkyle en C6 à C22 ou une chaíne alkylbenzène en C6 à C28.
  17. Composition de blanchiment selon l'une quelconque des revendications 12 à 15, ladite composition ayant un pH allant de 8 à 14 et comprend une source d'alcalinité.
  18. Composition de blanchiment selon l'une quelconque des revendications 12 à 16, ladite composition comprenant en outre un constituant tampon du pH.
  19. Composition de blanchiment selon la revendication 17, dans laquelle ledit constituant tampon du pH est choisi dans le groupe constitué par le carbonate de sodium, les silicates de sodium, un sel de bore, de préférence le métaborate de sodium ou le tétraborate de sodium et leurs mélanges et est présent en une quantité allant de 0,5 % à 9 % en poids de la composition liquide.
  20. Procédé de blanchiment des tissus qui comprend l'étape de mise en contact desdits tissus avec une composition de blanchiment selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, sous sa forme diluée à un taux de dilution avec de l'eau allant jusqu'à 1500 fois.
  21. Procédé de blanchiment des tissus selon la revendication 19 qui comprend les étapes subséquentes supplémentaires consistant:
    à laisser lesdits tissus en contact avec ladite composition de blanchiment pendant un laps de temps suffisant pour blanchir lesdits tissus,
    puis à rincer lesdits tissus dans l'eau pour éliminer ladite composition de blanchiment.
  22. Procédé selon l'une quelconque des revendications 19 ou 20, dans lequel lesdits tissus sont lavés avec une composition détergente comprenant au moins un agent tensioactif avant et/ou pendant la mise en contact avec la composition de blanchiment et/ou après le rinçage lorsque ladite composition de blanchiment a été retirée.
  23. Procédé de blanchiment d'un tissu qui comprend l'étape consistant à mettre en contact ledit tissu avec une composition de blanchiment liquide selon l'une quelconque des revendications 1 à 18, sous sa forme pure, à laisser ledit tissu en contact avec ladite composition de blanchiment pendant un laps de temps suffisant pour blanchir ledit tissu, puis à rincer ledit tissu dans l'eau pour retirer ladite composition de blanchiment.
  24. Procédé selon la revendication 22, dans lequel ledit tissu est lavé avec une composition détergente comprenant au moins un agent tensioactif avant l'étape de mise en contact du-dit tissu avec ladite composition de blanchiment et/ou après l'étape de rinçage dans laquelle ladite composition de blanchiment a été retirée.
  25. Utilisation d'un agent tensioactif anionique sulfoné et d'un agent tensioactif non ionique essentiellement linéaire de formule générale: R - (A)x - (B)y - (C)z - O - R1 dans laquelle: R est une chaíne alkyle paire en C6 à C22 ou un de ses mélanges, contenant au moins 90 % de chaínes alkyles linéaires; A est un motif éthoxy; B est un motif butoxy; C est un motif propoxy; x, y et z sont des entiers indépendants allant de 0 à 20; la somme x + y + z est au moins 1; et R1 est H, une chaíne alkyle en C6 à C22 ou une chaíne alkylbenzène en C6 à C28; dans une composition de blanchiment des tissus aqueuse comprenant un agent de blanchiment pour traiter un tissu par laquelle des bénéfices d'élimination des taches et/ou de blanchiment sont fournis.
