Description

DISPOSITIF DE DISTRIBUTION A BAGUE DE FIXAΗON A EMMANCHEMENT CONIQUE DISTRIBUTION DEVICE WITH FIXING RING WITH CONICAL HANDLE
The present invention relates to a fluid dispenser device intended to be mounted in a tank neck, the internal wall of which may, depending on the case, be of conical shape flared upwards. More particularly, the present invention relates to a fixing ring making it possible to receive a body of a dispensing member - such as a pump, the ring further comprising a fitting skirt of a shape corresponding to that of the wall of the neck so to fit in the neck of the tank.
Document DE-85608, for example, discloses a dispensing device in which a pump is mounted in a plug with a conical outer wall. This plug with conical outer wall is coated with a rubber jacket. The neck of the reservoir to which the cap is to be fitted also has a neck with a conical internal wall corresponding to the cap. The purpose of the rubber cover of the stopper is to improve the fixing and sealing of the stopper in the conical neck. However, due to the fact that the sealing contact takes place over the entire frustoconical surface of the plug, it was difficult to push the plug into the conical neck. Indeed, given that the pressure force which is exerted on the plug is distributed uniformly over the entire frustoconical contact surface, it follows that the plug is nowhere in strong pressure contact with the conical neck of the tank. A major drawback therefore results from the fact that the plug does not hold very well in the neck and can be released therefrom. Therefore use of a rubber envelope does not allow a good fixing and a perfect sealing.
Another document US Pat. No. 3,937,366 discloses a dispenser comprising a tank with a perfectly cylindrical neck in which is engaged a fixing ring receiving a pump. To do this, the fixing ring has a fitting skirt with a cylindrical outer wall. To improve the fixing of the ring in the neck of the reservoir, a peripheral annular rib is provided on the engagement skirt and on the internal wall of the neck of the reservoir a peripheral annular groove. Once the fixing ring is mounted in the neck of the reservoir, the peripheral annular bead engages in the peripheral annular groove. The shapes of the peripheral bead and the peripheral groove are perfectly complementary so that no pressure is exerted on the bead inside the groove. Consequently, this arrangement of bead and groove does not contribute to improving the seal between the fixing ring and the neck of the reservoir, but simply to ensuring good fixing.
The object of the present invention is to remedy the drawbacks of the aforementioned prior art by defining a dispensing device, the fixing ring of which allows perfectly tight fitting and secure fixing.
To do this, the present invention provides a fluid dispenser device intended to be mounted in a tank neck, said device comprising a dispensing member, such as a pump, comprising a body and a movable actuating rod in said body, and a fixing ring comprising a receiving housing for receiving said body and a fitting skirt whose external wall is of a shape corresponding to that of the wall of the neck so as to fit in said tank neck, the external wall of the skirt being provided with at least one peripheral sealing bead adapted to come crashing against the internal wall of the tank neck. Thus, the fitting is perfectly sealed and solid since all the force exerted for the fitting of the ring results only in very strong annular contact due to the crushing of the bead against the internal wall of the neck. Unlike the aforementioned German document, the sealing contact is made only on a circle and not on a frustoconical surface which increases the contact force against the internal wall of the neck. In addition, unlike the aforementioned American document, a perfectly sealed contact is created because the bead cannot snap into a groove of corresponding shape but, on the contrary, is completely crushed against the internal wall of the neck.
En outre, 1 ' étanchéité est également améliorée du fait du doublement de la barrière d ' étanchéité .According to an advantageous characteristic, the conical outer wall of the skirt is provided with two peripheral sealing beads. Indeed, the fact of providing two sealing beads on the ring makes it possible to further improve the stability of the ring inside the neck. The two sealing beads together define two spaced circles so that the ring can no longer tilt inside the neck. In addition, the seal is also improved due to the doubling of the seal barrier.
According to another characteristic, the skirt extends around the body with a radial gap forming an annular space. The fact that the inner wall of the ring is not in contact with the body of the dispensing member allows the skirt to deform inwards when the cord (s) are crushed inside the neck conical of the tank. According to another aspect of the invention, the fixing ring forms a guide flange for an actuating head mounted on the actuating rod.
According to one embodiment, the internal wall of the neck and the engagement skirt of the ring are of conical shape flared upwards.
The invention will now be described more fully with reference to the accompanying drawings which give by way of nonlimiting example an embodiment of the invention. In the drawings: FIG. 1 is a view in vertical section through a dispensing member according to the invention; Figure 2 is a cross-sectional view of the dispensing member of Figure 1 mounted on a tank neck according to the invention.
As can be seen in the figures, the fluid dispenser device according to the invention comprises three essential constituent elements, namely a reservoir 4, a dispenser member 2, and a fixing ring 1 for mounting the member distribution 2 in the tank neck 4.
The reservoir 4 defines an internal volume in which the fluid product is stored and a neck 40 at the top of the reservoir defining an access to the interior of the reservoir. In the context of the invention, the neck 40 of the reservoir 4 has an internal wall 41 of cylindrical shape, as visible in the figures. As a variant, the internal wall 41 can also be of conical shape flared upwards. Advantageously, if the tank is made of glass, to obtain a satisfactory surface quality, this conical internal wall 41 can be ground in.
The dispensing member 2 can be a pump for example, but one can also consider a valve. In the example shown, it is a pump 2 having a pump body 20 in which an actuating rod 21 is movable. The internal structure of the pump is not critical to the invention and will therefore not be described. At the upper end of the actuating rod 21, is mounted an actuating head 3 advantageously provided with a nozzle 35. By pressing on the actuating head 3, the actuating rod 21 is pressed into the body pump 20 which causes a discharge of fluid from the pump body through the actuating rod and finally through the nozzle 35. Such pump operation is entirely conventional.
For fixing the dispensing member 2 to the neck 40 of the reservoir 4, there is provided according to the invention a fixing ring 1 which comprises on the one hand a receiving housing 12 for receiving the pump body 20, advantageously by snap-fastening, and on the other hand a coupling skirt 10 which extends from the reception housing 12 downwards. This engagement skirt 10 has an external wall of a shape corresponding to that of the wall of the neck, that is to say cylindrical in the drawings, but can also be of conical shape, when the wall of the neck is conical, with a size and a taper allowing an adaptation in the conical neck of the tank. The fixing ring can therefore be force fitted onto the reservoir by engaging the cylindrical or conical engagement skirt 10 in the cylindrical or conical neck 40 of the reservoir. According to the invention, the cylindrical or conical outer wall 15 of the engagement skirt 10 is provided with at least one peripheral sealing bead 14 adapted to be crushed against the inner wall 41 of the tank neck 40. In the example shown in the figures, the cylindrical outer wall 15 is provided with two peripheral sealing cords 14. The two sealing cords peripherals 14 therefore protrude from the outer wall 15 of the skirt 10 in the form of small beads. In addition, the two peripheral sealing beads 14 are spaced from each other by a certain distance, which has advantageous effects on the stability of the ring as will be seen below. The fixing ring 1 also forms an annular flange 11 which extends from the upper end of the engagement skirt 10 towards the outside. This annular flange 11 ends with a cylindrical guide flange suitable for guiding the actuation head 3 mounted on the actuation rod 1. As can be seen in the figures, the actuation head 3 is formed with a skirt 33 which extends downwards surrounding the cylindrical collar 13. Thus, during actuation of the actuation head 3, the latter is guided by the engagement of its skirt on the collar 13. To allow the 'depression of the actuating head 3, the flange 13 is formed with a recess 15 allowing the engagement of the nozzle 35. Reference will now be made more precisely to FIG. 2 which represents a dispensing member mounted in a cylindrical neck 40 to using a fixing ring 1 according to the invention. As can be seen in this figure, the external wall 15 of the skirt 10 adapts perfectly in contact with the internal wall 41 of the neck 40. In reality, there may exist between these two walls a very small difference imperceptible to the naked eye, but which does not harm either the fixing or the sealing of the device. Indeed, due to the presence of the two peripheral sealing beads 14, there is a perfect fixing and sealing of the fixing ring in the neck 40 of the tank. In the fitted position, as shown in FIG. 2, the two peripheral sealing cords 14 are strongly crushed against the internal wall 41 of the neck 40. The crushing of these cords 14 exert a strong annular pressure on the internal wall 41 of the neck 40. The sealing cords 14 are almost completely flattened so that they practically no longer protrude from the external wall 15 of the skirt 10. A seal is thus obtained perfect and safe. In addition, since there are two sealing beads 14, a double sealing barrier is thus defined. As for the fixing, the fact of the presence of two sealing beads further improves the fixing in that the two sealing beads together define a perfectly stable cylinder. In addition, as mentioned above, the spacing of the two beads contributes even more to the stability by defining a larger cylindrical section or conical trunk. Although it is conceivable in the context of the invention to provide only one sealing bead, it is preferable to provide two sealing cords for the reasons of stability and sealing mentioned above. It should also be noted that the engagement skirt 10 is not in contact with its internal wall of the body 20 of the pump 2. This allows deformation of the skirt 10 inwards, referenced by 140 in FIG. 2 , during the inward crushing of the sealing cords 14. This prevents deformation of the pump body 20 which could adversely affect its operation.
Preferably, the reservoir 4 can be made of glass although other materials are not excluded, and the fixing ring 1 can be made of plastic although other materials are also not excluded. With a glass reservoir and a plastic ring, a perfect crushing of the sealing bead or cords is ensured against the internal wall 41 of the glass neck 40. Improved sealing is obtained according to the invention by crushing the or cords sealing, and improved fixing is obtained by doubling the cords.
