Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a firing mechanism for firearms comprising a carcass and a guard, a barrel and a movable breech in the carcass, the firing mechanism including a dog commanding the striker and pivotally mounted in the carcass or in the sub-guard between an "armed” position and a “ fallen” position, a spring pushing the dog into its dropped position and a pivoting trigger that can hold this dog in an armed position, a trigger commanding the trigger via a separator, a stopper breech pivotally mounted in the carcass or in the sub-guard, this retainer stopping in a position blocking the backward movement of the cylinder head and letting this cylinder head pass into another position, a control lever which cooperates with this cylinder head retainer also being pivotally mounted in the carcass or in the sub-guard, this control lever being able to release the separator from the trigger retaining the dog so that this separator can no longer control the trigger.
  • the dog During its slaughter, the dog acts on the retainer of breech which is released from the abutment zone of the breech mobile, allowing the cylinder head to pass.
  • the projectile having left the barrel, the action of the shooter on the lever armament, in order to push back the breech and others moving parts, causes the lock to rotate and then extraction and ejection of the sleeve.
  • the folding of the dog and its rearming are carried out by the breech during its backward movement.
  • the bolt mobile When the lock is fully engaged, the bolt mobile is located before the bolt retainer which has taken over its blocking position. The gun is ready to fire next.
  • Certain known firing mechanisms present this end a small handle attached to the control lever cooperating with the retainer, this handle projecting in outside the carcass, next to the trigger guard.
  • the purpose of the present invention is to overcome this disadvantage and to provide a firing device allowing to remove safely and in a way simple and easy a chambered cartridge when the device is armed.
  • the firing device includes a lever clutch pivotally mounted in the carcass or in the sub-guard and protruding outside the carcass and cooperating at one end with the lever control, this clutch lever engaging in a first position the aforementioned control lever in the position that the latter takes when the breech retainer is in the locked position, this release lever entrainant, by its pivoting from the first position above in a second position, called position of disengagement, pivoting of the control lever, such so that the cylinder head retainer pivots out of its blocking position.
  • the release lever cooperates in such a way so that the two above positions are positions stable.
  • the control lever can for this purpose be provided with two notches, one for each position of the clutch release lever, this lever entering each position with one end in one of the notches.
  • the cylinder head retainer can be provided with at least one ramp which in the position it is in when the lever in the disengaged position above, without blocking the cylinder head cooperates with the latter in such a way that the movement of the bolt makes pivot the stopper and therefore the control lever, breaking thus the contact between this control lever and the lever release and allowing the return of this lever clutch in its first position.
  • a spring can act on the lever release, pushing the release lever to its first position.
  • the rifle shown schematically in the Figures 1 and 2 essentially comprises a carcass 1, a sub-guard 1 'mounted thereon, a stock 2 mounted at one end on the carcass 1, a barrel 3 with the chamber firing, mounted on the other end of the carcass 1 and a handguard 4, an arming mechanism and a Firing.
  • the cocking mechanism comprises a bolt 5 which is movably mounted on the carcass 1 and controls a rotary lock which can close the firing chamber, chamber into which a cartridge can be inserted from a charger 6.
  • the firing mechanism which is shown more in detail in Figures 3 to 5 includes a dog 7 mounted from pivotally in the sub-guard 1 ', shown in mixed lines, around a transverse axis 8 between a so-called “armed” position, as shown in Figures 3 and 4 and a so-called “ fallen” position, represented in the figure 5, a spring 9 of which only a part is shown in Figures 3 to 5, pushing the dog 7 into its position fallen, this dog 7 commanding the striker 10 which is only shown in Figure 5.
  • a trigger 11 is also pivotally mounted about a transverse axis 12 and can, in a position in which it is also pushed by a spring 13, hold the dog 7 in the armed position.
  • a trigger 14 controlling the trigger 11 via of a lever or separator 15, can pivot around of a transverse axis 16 in the sub-guard 1 '.
  • the separator 15 is fixed to the trigger by a transverse axis 17 and is pushed to the position shown in Figures 3 to 5 by a spring 18.
  • the firing mechanism further includes a stopper for cylinder head 19 pivotally mounted in the sub-guard 1 ', around the same transverse axis 8 as the dog 7.
  • This cylinder head retainer 19 stops in its position blocking shown in Figure 3, the movement towards the rear of the cylinder head 5 and lets pass into another position, as shown in Figures 4 and 5, this cylinder head 5.
  • This cylinder head retainer 19 is straddled by its rear end by the front end of a lever control 20 which is also pivotally mounted around a transverse axis 21 on the carcass 1 or the sub-guard 1 '.
  • the apex of the front end of the cylinder head retainer 19 is fitted with a descending ramp system 22 and 23 forward and backward respectively.
  • control lever 20 is provided with a central projection 24 which can lean on the separator 15 and using which this control lever 20 can release the separator 15 from the trigger 11 so that this separator 15 cannot no longer order trigger 11, as shown in figure 4.
  • the control lever 20 has near its end before two notches 25 and 26 in its lower edge, the notch 25 located on the side of the axis 21 relative to the other being deeper.
  • This lever declutching 27 pivots about a transverse axis 29 mounted in the sub-guard 1 'between a first vertical position as shown in Figures 3 and 5 and a position inclined as shown in Figure 4.
  • the dimensions of this clutch release lever 27 and the notches 25 and 26 are such that the cylinder head retainer 19 cannot be in its locked position only when the pointed end of the clutch release lever 27 is in the notch 25, while when this end is located in the notch 26, the cylinder head retainer 19 is found in an intermediate position, i.e. without block the cylinder head 5, but still with a ramp 22 still in the trajectory of the cylinder head 5.
  • the dog 7 Near its axis 8, the dog 7 has a projection 31, at which is also fixed the spring 9. This projection 31 abuts the breech retainer 19 when this dog 7 goes from its armed position to its fallen position.
  • the dog 7 In the "ready to fire" position, shown in the figure 3, the dog 7 is in the armed position and therefore hooked by its end in the tip of the trigger 11 and the separator 15 is in contact with trigger 11.
  • the release lever 27 enters at one end into the notch 25, which means that the cylinder head retainer 19 is in the locking position and locks the cylinder head 5 in its forward position.
  • the lock closes the firing chamber in which is a cartridge.
  • control lever 20 presses with the protrusion 24 on the separator 15 which is thus put in a position where it is released from trigger 11 and can no longer order the latter.
  • the release lever 27 is in the vertical position, but without contact with the control lever 20.
  • the dog 7 is folded back into the armed position by the retreat of the cylinder head 5, the return forward of this cylinder head 5 realizing conventionally the introduction of a cartridge into the firing chamber and locking that chamber.
