- the present invention relates to an automatic or semi-automatic pistol comprising a slide stop triggered by a magazine carrier.
- Pistols are usually equipped with a feature called a "slide stopper" which allows the slide to be locked in the rear position when firing when the magazine is empty. On the one hand, this allows the shooter to see that his magazine is now empty. On the other hand, it allows faster reloading since the shooter only needs to place a new loaded magazine in the weapon and, either to press a manual stopper control, or to move the slide back slightly then to let go in order to chamber a new ammunition.
- the stopper control is generally located on one side of the weapon, between the slide and the carcass so as to be actuated with the thumb of the strong hand without removing the hand in the firing position.
