Definitions

  • the invention relates to a secure slot machine so as to avoid any misuse by players of said machine.
  • the card reader smart card strictly recreates signals electronics produced by a token when inserted in the slot machine.
  • the card reader to chip recreates the electronic signals of a token when paid by the slot machine.
  • a first problem to solve linked to a case of improper use consists in preventing by smart card do not distort the cash register counter recipes.
  • a second problem posed linked to a bad case use is to prevent a player who plays on a mixed coin-operated machine (tokens and credit card chip) with tokens can collect winnings obtained or the credit he has in the form electronic on his smart card.
  • a third problem posed linked to a bad case use is to prevent a player who plays on an electronic coin-operated machine with a card can transfer the credit on his card, on the slot machine, insert a new card into the slot machine player and request transfer credit on this new card.
  • a fourth problem posed linked to a bad case use is to prevent a player who plays on an electronic coin-operated machine with a card can transfer the credit on his card, on the slot machine, and collect the winnings as chips.
  • the solution proposed by the invention to solve these problems is to achieve separation, for each player, bets and wins made by tokens (or coins) of wagers and winnings made by smart cards and realize a separation of bets and winnings made with a chip card and winnings made with another smart card.
  • the present invention therefore The subject of a secure slot machine according to claim 1.
  • the means of separation of credits include means of orientation by the reader smart cards, smart card bets to the slot machine hopper.
  • the means of orientation of the bets chip cards to the hopper include a connection device for connecting the central unit (CPU) reset output (RESET) of the slot machine, the CPU token level output of the machine, the diverter control input orientation of the machine as well as the level output of machine hopper token, to smart card reader.
  • CPU central unit
  • RESET reset output
  • Slot machines have at least one counter bets and a counter of games linked to their central management unit. It is planned according to the invention to detect if the machine is in a partial bet situation.
  • the means detection devices include a device for connection to outputs of these counters able to route the signals output from these counters to the card reader at chip when inserting a smart card into the reader or to a request to eject the card present in the reader.
  • the central machine management unit is capable of output an inhibition signal from the coin-operated comparator token.
  • the means of detection also include a device for connection of the reader to said output to direct the signal token inhibition of coin token comparator to the smart card reader when inserting a new card or during a request to eject the Smartcard.
  • Detection means include a device for connection to said device credit witness to direct the signal delivered by this device to smart card reader the insertion of a new card or during a request to eject the card.
  • the means of separation of the credits which come to be detailed are based on parallel connections of certain inputs and / or outputs of the electronics of the game machine to the smart card reader.
  • the 600 card validator also called reader-validator a simplified diagram of which is represented on Figure 1 has a structure equivalent to that of Well-known smart card readers.
  • a micron controller 601 which manages all the operations relating to the application which is loaded as a program into a memory of the non-volatile program (for example in memory EPROM.
  • a microcontroller is joined by a EPROM type 602 program memory bus by example, to a second memory 603 of the EEPROM type, the latter allowing for example to memorize a a number of parameters that change little, prohibition lists (e.g. cards reproducible) and to a third memory 604 of the type RAM used as RAM for the execution of the microcontroller program.
  • the microcontroller can optionally be connected to an RTC (Real Time Clock) real time clock circuit and to a security module which includes an algorithm for diversification of DES or RSA to ensure security in the exchanges between the reader and outside.
  • RTC Real Time Clock
  • the bus is also connected to a 605 display which allows to display in particular the sums played and the gains obtained.
  • the validator reader has a entry 606 intended to receive the player card and possibly personnel cards for intervene for example on the parameters of the payment (including the value of bets associated with minimum and maximum bet buttons).
  • the bus is also connected to a number of control buttons, here two buttons 607 and 608 which allow players to bet, minimum bet or the maximum stake. Another button no represented allows to launch the game.
  • a logical interface 604 intended for ensuring exchanges between the reader and the electronics 700 from the slot machine.
  • Interface 604 allows instructions to be decoded appearing on bus B and intended for electronics 700 of the game machine and vice versa to decode the signals from this electronics to be analyzed by the reader.
  • the physical interface intended to ensure connections between the electronics of the game machine and the player present in the form of connectors 110 and 120 comprising a set of pins connected to the inputs and / or outputs of the elements specified in the after.
  • the other five (or six) counters electromechanical "images" of logic counters are those originally installed on the slot machine.
  • the machine is according to the invention equipped with circuits allowing a separation of credits from card or chip games to get said credits in the form of tokens for a bet or a party entered by token. And so as to obtain said credits on the smart card present in the drive before ejecting or before inserting a new card for parties engaged by said menu.
  • the electronics 700 and the reader have a connection interface respectively physical 110, 120, 130 and logical 604 allowing to scrutinize signals generated by the electronics of the machine by connecting signal outputs and / or inputs from machine electronics to reader-validator 600.
  • Connector 100 is used to connect the outputs of 100 counters at the CPU control and management unit 200 of the machine and to the control unit 601 of the reader via logic interface 604.
  • the connector 120 makes it possible to connect outputs of the control unit 200 from the machine to the control unit control 601 of the reader via the interface 604. And of connect the token comparator and the hopper to the unit control 601 of the reader via the interface 604.
  • a first problem consists to allow all smart card bets to be oriented towards the slot machine hopper to avoid not distort the counter of the cash register.
  • the reset output "Reset” and "Level of CPU token "from unit 200 are connected to reader 600.
  • the "Orientation deviator” input of unit 200 and the “Orientation deviator” output of the set diverter are connected to reader 600.
  • the bet counter output C1 is connected to unit 20 but also to the reader.
  • Counter output parts C4 is connected to the unit 200 but also to the reader. With these two links the reader can know the activity status of the slot machine.
