Description

The invention relates to street furniture which is produced in the form of blocks massive in appearance, more particularly in precast concrete, which is installed fixed position in a place of passage and / or along a traffic lane, for reasons of public interest. This type of furniture includes studs, wall elements or planters, of massive appearance, used at for the organization of vehicle and / or pedestrian traffic, or for deterrent to parking. It also includes the device holders for public use, pedestrian rest benches, and the like.

In urban areas, the spaces made available to various users tend to reduce over time due to their more or less permanent occupation by objects that are successively placed there in the general interest or for individual needs. The exploitation of new equipment in particular for communication networks for people and / or distribution for of users often involves the installation of technical cabinets that come add to the furniture elements already present. Adding street furniture additional and in particular of cabinets for new equipment therefore a serious problem for those responsible for the management of places of passage and traffic lanes. This therefore leads to the search for solutions to increase the accommodation capacity of new equipment or extension at minimum cost in terms of floor space.

A widely used solution for certain technical equipment is the burial under the ground. However, this effective solution is expensive and it often involves equipment sophistication that would not be necessary other. In addition, it introduces additional constraints, particularly in sealing material of the container and / or equipment.

Such a system is relatively complex, therefore expensive, and likely to block.

The invention therefore provides street furniture, more particularly made in a precast concrete type material, which is intended to be installed in a fixed position in a place of passage and / or along a passageway and which includes at least one massive block accessible to users of the place or of the way where it is installed to fill a first function. This furniture is characterized in that at least one housing is placed and preferably hidden in it block and contains or constitutes a cabinet for a technical equipment with a different function, including energy distribution, communication and / or signaling, while a sign or a door closure is planned to limit access to this accommodation.

The invention, its characteristics and its advantages are specified in the description which follows in conjunction with the figures mentioned below.

Figure 1 shows an example of a passageway equipped with blocks multifunctional street furniture, according to the invention.

Figure 2 shows an example of a multifunctional block shown open.

As indicated above, the invention relates to street furniture intended to be installed at a fixed post in a place of passage, for example a public place or patio, or along a traffic lane. This installation is done for example on a sidewalk 1 of a street, this sidewalk is here supposed to be bordered by a wall composed of elements 2, 2 'on one of its edges, as shown schematically on the figure 1.

Street furniture likely to be installed permanently in these places, or along these routes, notably includes rest elements for the pedestrians, for example benches or individual seats, wall elements and massive blocks for orienting the movement of people and / or vehicles, device holders for public use, for example for parking meters.

Such street furniture elements reduce the floor space available for circulation, as illustrated by the presence of a wall composed by a series of blocks 2, 2 ', of a block 3 which includes a tank 4 for plants, of a base 5 and of a block forming a bench 6 on the sidewalk 1, presented in FIG. 1. At these elements of furniture whose installation has been planned for the benefit of users that are people taking the street, conventionally add other elements street furniture intended for equipment, in particular distribution which are conventionally of the technical cabinet type. These cabinets classically house equipment involved in the operation of distribution services of energy or fluids, telecommunications equipment, or even urban signage equipment. However, as already indicated, it is becoming more in addition annoying and / or difficult to install additional pieces of furniture urban on places of passage or along passageways.

There are a certain number of cases where a definite advantage, in particular as regards occupancy on the ground, can be obtained by a shared exploitation of the same street furniture element to simultaneously fulfill different functions.

This can be achieved by simultaneously exploiting for different purposes characteristics inherent in all or part of an item of street furniture. So for example, the use of concrete to form the walls of a block of urban furniture makes it possible to produce an element simultaneously presenting a high strength, good sealing and good electrical insulation. It is possible to exploit these three characteristics so as to obtain a block multifunctional. Thus the same precast concrete block can form a set where a cupboard, with sealed and insulating concrete walls, arranged for house technical equipment, in particular electrical or communication equipment, is surmounted by a waterproof concrete tank, forming a basin or plant container. The tray conceals the presence of the equipment cabinet. This bin can contain lighting means supplied through a distribution link of electrical energy essential for supplying equipment to the cabinet.

Such a block is generally of massive appearance because of the functions which it fulfills, which makes it usable as a traffic orientation feature coercive towards pedestrians and vehicles, if necessary.

Examples of blocks of street furniture according to the invention are constituted by blocks 2, 3, 5 and 6 shown in Figures 1 and 2. These blocks are assumed to be prefabricated blocks, made of a material, concrete type, in each which is provided at least one housing 11 constituting or containing a cabinet for technical equipment (s), in particular for energy distribution electrical or fluid, communication and / or signaling. Like these blocks are provided to be installed on the ground in a crossing place, each of them has at least one other function that complements its material function of equipment housing and which exploits at least one of the characteristics it present. So in the case of block 3, the block made of concrete is assumed have strength and tightness characteristics which are simultaneously exploited to make a cabinet, of good sealing, able to resist various kinds of aggression, especially if it is placed in full circulation, and a watertight container that is strong enough to support the weight of its contents.

Block 5 of precast concrete, which is shown attached to block 3, is also supposed to exploit the characteristic of solidity proper to this kind of realization to simultaneously constitute a seat or base and an equipment cabinet suitable for receiving equipment, which can be relatively fragile, and this in operating conditions where this equipment is protected against usual attacks, in particular due to the climate and living things.

It is planned that the blocks include means tending to limit the risks access not provided to the housings 11 which they contain. In a preferred form these means tend to conceal the existence of housing and particular of a cabinet in a block and access to this cabinet.

This can be achieved in different ways. Housing made in a block is for example provided with a door or a closing panel whose limits merge with some of the block boundaries or with decorative elements made on this block, so that the housing is concealed from the eyes of people not warned. Block 3, as shown in Figure 2, is assumed have a closing panel 7, articulated or removable, having the same look like the wall of the block where it fits. The limits of this panel 7 are merge with decorative grooves 8 extending on at least one of the sides of the block on either side of the edges of the opening 9 which it comes to close.

It is also planned to make blocks provided with opening means of closure. above the block rather than laterally, especially in the case where the block is intended to serve as a seat, since the panel or the closing door can then easily be concealed by the part forming and / or supporting the seat or seats.

It is also possible to make a block open at its base, that is to say on the underside like a bell, to be able to hide an interior equipment or an equipment cabinet, when the assembly thus constituted is set up on the ground in the location provided for him, for example with assistance with lifting means.

In these different cases, the housing for equipment provided in a block is formed in the lower part of the block. This allows cable or pipe from below the block. The cables are for example cables of distribution of electrical and / or telecommunications energy and pipelines allow a flow or a supply of fluid. Access can be done by one or more openings 0 made at the base of the block which ensures their concealment, when in place. They can also be carried out by one or more interconnection conduits inside the block.

In the case of a raised construction and for example in the case of a block multifunctional having a bench function, it is possible to use conduits made in the part or parts forming a foot to ensure the passage of the cables to the equipment cabinet (s), such as cabinets 10, 10 'of bench 6 presented in figure 1. Because of their possibilities of serving by conduits different, it is possible that cabinets in the same block are operated for different equipment, for example equipment for urban signage for one and telecommunications equipment for another.

As already indicated above, it is also planned to make blocks multifunctional according to the invention, such as block 2, intended to be associated with other blocks of conventional type, such as 2 ′ blocks, which have a identical or similar external appearance, for example to form a wall.

It is also planned to produce a multifunctional block, according to the invention, not shown, which is used simultaneously to house equipment, for example communication, in the cabinet which it contains internally and which constitutes a support for a device for public use having a different function, such as a electronic information terminal, parking meter or other.
