In den Figuren ist eine Vorrichtung zum Reinigen von Walzen
1 in Dressierwerken im Zuge der Behandlung eines Metallbandes
M dargestellt. Die Walzen 1, nämlich sowohl Arbeitswalzen
1a als auch Stützwalzen 1b werden mittels jeweils
zumindest einer Reinigungsdüse 2 mit Reinigungsflüssigkeit
beaufschlagt. Die Reinigungsdüsen 2 sind entlang der betreffenden
Walzen 1 hin- und herverfahrbar. Dazu sind die
Reinigungsdüsen 2 auf entlang der Walzen 1 traversierenden
Fahrwerken 3 mit einem Schlitten 4 und entsprechenden Fahrschienen
5 angeordnet. Nach dem Ausführungsbeispiel sind
die Reinigungsdüsen 2 an der Kolbenstange 6 einer steuerbaren
oder regelbaren Zylinderkolbenanordnung 7 befestigt,
welche auf die zu reinigenden Walzen 1 gerichtet und auf
dem traversierenden Schlitten 4 gelagert sind. Mit Hilfe
der Zylinderkolbenanordnungen 7, bei denen es sich nach dem
Ausführungsbeispiel um Pneumatikzylinder handelt, ist der
Abstand A zwischen den Reinigungsdüsen 2 und dem Walzenmantel
8 der betreffenden Walzen 1 auf ein vorgegebenes Maß
einstellbar oder regelbar. Folglich läßt sich selbst dann
ein konstanter Abstand A zwischen den Reinigungsdüsen 2 und
den betreffenden Walzen 1 einrichten, wenn die Walzen 1 abgeschliffen
werden oder Walzen 1 unterschiedlicher Durchmesser
eingesetzt werden. Denn der Abstand A zwischen dem
Walzenmantel 8 wird durch Nachfahren der Reinigungsdüsen 2
konstant gehalten, und zwar kleiner als 100 mm. Außerdem
wird die Traversiergeschwindigkeit der hin- und herbewegten
Reinigungsdüsen 2 in Abhängigkeit von der Bandgeschwindigkeit
und/oder des Bandmaterials und/oder der Bandoberfläche

7 auf deren Fahrwerken 3 bzw. Schlitten

Claims (16)
- A method of cleaning rolls (1; 1a, 1b) and/or rollers in strip casting installations, rolling mills and/or strip processing lines, particularly in dressing mills or sizing mills of that kind, for the production and/or treatment of metal strip (M), according to whichthe rolls (1; 1a, 1b) and/or rollers are each acted upon by cleaning liquid by means of at least one cleaning nozzle (2), the distance (A) of which to the roll surface or roller surface of the respective roll (1; 1a, 1b) or roller is set or controlled at a magnitude which is predetermined in each case, and according to whichthe cleaning nozzle (2) is moved to and fro along the respective roll (1; 1a, 1b) or roller at a velocity of traverse which is set or controlled depending on the strip velocity and/or on the strip material and/or on the strip surface.
- A method according to claim 1, characterised in that the distance (A) to the roll surface or roller surface is held constant by the cleaning nozzle (2) executing a following movement.
- A method according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the distance (A) between the roll surface or roller surface and the cleaning nozzle (2) is maintained at less than 100 mm.
- A method according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that before it contacts the rolls or rollers the respective metal strip (M) is acted upon by cleaning liquid on its top side and/or underside by means of one or more cleaning nozzles (2) and is cleaned hydromechanically.
- A method according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the respective metal strip (M) is acted upon by cleaning liquid when it passes over a roller.
- A method according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that cleaning is effected at a liquid pressure of at least 100 bar.
- A method according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that demineralised or salt-free water is used as a cleaning liquid.
- A method according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that corrosion-inhibiting additives are added to the cleaning liquid.
- An apparatus for carrying out the method according to any one of claims 1 to 8, comprising rolls (1; 1a, 1b) and/or rollers for producing and/or treating metal strip (M), and comprising at least one cleaning nozzle (2) which is associated with the respective rolls (1; 1a, 1b) or rollers, whereinthe cleaning nozzle (2) is disposed on running gear (3) which longitudinally traverses the rolls (1; 1a, 1b) or rollers and which comprises carriages (4) and corresponding traversing rails (5), wherein in addition a controller or regulating device is provided for the velocity of traverse, and whereinthe cleaning nozzle (2) is fixed to the piston rod (6) (or the other way round) of a controllable or adjustable cylinder-and-piston arrangement (7) which is directed towards the roll (1; 1a, 1b) or roller to be cleaned.
- An apparatus according to claim 9, characterised in that the cleaning nozzle (2) is formed as a rotating nozzle.
- An apparatus according to claim 9 or 10, characterised in that the cylinder-and-piston arrangement (7) is formed as a pneumatic cylinder or hydraulic cylinder.
- An apparatus according to any one of claims 9 to 11, characterised in that the spray angle between the respective roll (1) or roller and the cleaning nozzle (2) is adjustable, e.g. between 60° and 120°.
- An apparatus according to any one of claims 9 to 12, characterised in that the angle of inclination of the respective cylinder-and-piston arrangement (7) comprising the cleaning nozzle (2) can be adjusted in relation to the respective roll (1) or roller.
- An apparatus according to any one of claims 9 to 13, characterised in that there is a plurality of cleaning nozzles (2) which are disposed so that they can traverse the barrel length of the respective rolls (1) or rollers.
- An apparatus according to any one of claims 9 to 14, characterised in that one or more cleaning nozzles (2) is/are disposed above and/or below the respective metal strip (M) and are directed towards the metal strip (M) with adjustable spray angles.
- An apparatus according to any one of claims 9 to 15, characterised in that the cleaning nozzle (n) (2) is directed on to the metal strip (M) when the latter passes over a roller.
