Description

The invention relates to a turnstile for a passage of people, with a arranged on a shaft, rotationally connected to the shaft and turret equipped with locking arms that slant downwards is directed, wherein the shaft carries a guide member on which a locking mechanism acts in such a way that turning the shaft, and thus the rotating head, only possible in a predetermined direction and only in partial steps is and the one located above, to block the passage of personnel certain locking arm in the event of a panic violently into the passage of people releasing position is movable.

Known turnstiles are used to let one person pass through the passage in one direction at intervals. In this case, the rotary head is moved further by the person over the upper, transverse locking arm, for example by 120 °, the subsequent locking arm in each case assuming the locking position of the preceding locking arm. For security reasons, turnstiles must be designed so that in the event of panic, for example in the event of fire or other dangerous situations, it is possible to pass through the turnstile and thus the passage of people in the other direction. The turnstiles are therefore designed so that at least the upper transverse locking arm blocking the passage of people can be moved into a position that clears the passage.
Such a turnstile is known for example from EP-0177684.

Based on this prior art, the invention proposes that the locking mechanism has two controllable locking elements, of which depending on the selected direction of rotation of the rotary head, either one or the other locking member has a locking effect on the guide part exercises that each locking arm on a contactor then to Action is determined when the locking arm in question, located above, in the Panic trap is forcibly pushed away and that the contactor to act is provided on that locking member that has no locking effect so far has unfolded on the guide part.

The proposed solution causes panic when the one above Locking arm is pivoted away, the turret by rushing past Cannot be moved. This allows the two remaining locking arms cannot be brought into a position in which they are more or would be less blocking in the passage to get there Trip hazards. The two locking arms that are not pivoted away remain advantageously in its obliquely downward position, in which they do not protrude into the passage.

  • Fig. 3 shows a simplified representation of a section through the area of the rotary head.
Fig. 1 shows a turnstile 1, on a passage intended for people 27 is provided. The turnstile 1 has a support frame 2 to which a housing part 3 connects upwards, in which those parts are located, a rotating part of the rotary head 4 of the Enable turnstile 1. The rotary head 4 protrudes from the housing part 3 directed obliquely downwards and transversely to the direction of passage (arrow) in the pedestrian passage 27. The rotary head 4 can only be in one direction turn, see curved arrow, so that people pass through 27 can only happen in this direction. The one supported on a shaft 6 Rotary head 4 carries three arranged at regular intervals Locking arms 5, 5 '. This arrangement is chosen in a known manner so that in Locking position of the turnstile 1, the upper locking arm 5 in a horizontal position Direction extends while the other two locking arms 5 'diverge are directed downwards. When passing through the turnstile 1 there is a person between the horizontally arranged top Locking arm 5 and the locking arm 5 'behind it. By Pressure on the horizontal locking arm 5 can be the rotary head 4 by 120 ° Continue to turn.

The guide part 7 has the same intervals three ridges 8 and three depressions 9. This will make one Track 10 created for a rolling part 13, which is part of a locking mechanism 26, which on the one hand locks the rotary head 4 in a Locked position (starting position) of the turnstile 1, but also a Rotation of the rotary head 4 allowed from this locked position. The roller part 13 presses with a certain force against the web 10 of the guide part 7, however, this force can be overcome if one is in the predetermined Direction against the upper, horizontally arranged locking arm 5 presses. The guide part 7 is below the track 10 with two cylindrical Sections 11, 11 'equipped at a distance one above the other are arranged. Each cylindrical section 11, 11 'carries a number Cam 16, the cams 16 being chamfered. The bevels 17 the cams 16 of the first section 11 are mirror images or counter-rotating arranged to the bevels 17 of the second section 11 'or designed. Near the guide part 7 are preferably two electrically controllable Locking members 14 are provided. Each locking member 14 is axially movable Push part 15 equipped. In the example there is the push part 15 of the above-arranged locking member 14 in engagement with the cams 16 of the first section 11, while the thrust member 15 of the other locking member 14 is arranged outside the sections 11, 11 '. Through the bevels 17 on the cams 16, the guide member 7 and thus of the Turn the shaft 6 carried rotary head 4 in one direction only. The bevels 17 make this one-sided turning possible. The one in engagement Thrust member 15 can dodge ratchet-like in this process. Turning in the opposite direction is not possible because on the other Side of the cams 16 there are no bevels 17 and that Thrust member 15 blocks the cam 16 in the way. Will be controlled the locking members 14, the thrust part 15 of the locking member shown above 14 withdrawn and therefore the thrust part 15 of the one shown below Locking member 14 with the cams 16 of the second portion 11 'in engagement brought, the shaft 6 and thus the turret 4 in the other Turn direction.

Fig. 2. The rotary head 4 is non-rotatable with the one mounted in the housing part 3 Shaft 6 connected. One of the three locking arms 5 is on the rotary head 4 located. The locking arm 5 is in the person passage 27 releasing Position shown in which he was forcibly pressed in the event of a panic is. The starting position in which the Locking arm 5 projects horizontally into the passage 27. Each locking arm 5 is in a fork piece 19 locked on the rotary head 4 about an axis 20 pivoted. The locking arm 5 is mounted via an intermediate piece 18, which is supported by the axis 20. The intermediate piece 18th touches a pressure pin 22 which is axially movable in the rotary head 4 is. The pressure pin 22 lies at an angle on a spring-loaded stylus 24 on. The stylus 24 is to a stationary arranged in the housing part 3 proximity switch directed the function of an electrical contactor 25 exercises. The contactor intended to build up a blocking effect 25 is electrically connected to the blocking element 14 which is connected to one of the two sections 11, 11 'is not in engagement, cf. Fig. 2. Near the axis 20 is an outwardly widening groove 21 on the intermediate piece 18 arranged. The groove 21 serves to receive a projection 23, which is located on the upper end face of the pressure pin 22. In pushed away Position of the locking arm 5, the projection 23 is not in the groove 21 of the intermediate piece 18. In this position, the pressure pin 22 continues to pressed down and the stylus 24 ends closer to the contactor 25. Will the locking arm 5 is moved back to its starting position, in which it lies at the top and protrudes horizontally arranged transversely into the passage 27, snaps the projection 23 of the pressure pin 22 into the groove 21 and the spring-loaded Stylus 24 not only presses the pressure pin 22 somewhat above, but the stylus 24 is also a bit far from the contactor 25 moved away. The setting of the contactor 25 and the respective locations of the stylus 24 are coordinated so that when pushed away Position of the locking arm 5 through the contactor 25 on a permanent contact the locking member 14 in question is exerted and this is its thrust part 15 holds in locking engagement with one of the two sections 11 or 11 '. In in this case, the thrust parts 15 of the two locking members 14 in Engagement with the cams 16 of the two sections 11, 11 'of the guide part 7. The guide part 7 and with it the shaft 6 and the rotary head 4 cannot be turned forwards or backwards in this position. The Rotary head 4 is locked, it cannot be moved. If the locking arm 5 Pushed back into the starting position, the stylus 24 moves away from Contactor 25. The permanent contact to the blocking member 14 is canceled and this thereby pulls back its thrust part 15. The locking member acts no longer on one of the two sections 11, 11 ', so that the rotary head 4 is rotatable again in one of the two directions. The just described on a locking arm 5 related technical features are also in the other locking arms 5 'provided in the same way. Depending on the selected The direction of rotation of the rotary head 4 are the electrical contactors 25 one or the other locking member 14 electrically connected and at Turning the rotary head 4 is the stylus 24 of the top located, horizontally arranged locking arm 5, 5 'with respect to the stationary arranged contactor 25.

A turnstile (1) for allowing individuals to pass through (27), having a rotating head (4) equipped with locking arms (5, 5'), the said head being arranged on a shaft (6) to which it is connected in a rotationally locked manner and being oriented obliquely downwards, the shaft (6) bearing a guide part (7) upon which a locking mechanism (26) acts in such a way that rotation of the shaft (6), and thus of the rotating head (4), is only possible in a predetermined direction and only in partial stages, and that in a panic situation the locking arm (5) positioned at the top in the particular case for the purpose of blocking the passage (27) of the individual is forcibly movable into a position freeing the passage of the individual, characterised in that the locking mechanism (26) has two actuable locking members (14), of which either the one or the other locking member (14) - depending on the direction of rotation of the rotating head (4) selected in the particular case - exerts a locking effect on the guide part (7), in that each locking arm (5, 5') is intended to act upon a contact (25) when the locking arm (5) in question positioned at the top is forcibly pushed away in a panic situation, and in that the contact (25) is provided to act upon the particular locking member (14) which has so far not exerted any locking effect on the guide part (7).
    2. A turnstile according to Claim 1, characterised in that each locking member (14) is equipped with a pushing part (15) intended for engaging in cams (16) located on the guide part (7).
    3. A turnstile according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the guide part (7) has two spaced-apart portions (11, 11') which bear the cams (16), the cams (16) of the portion (11) being chamfered or formed counter to the cams (16) of the portion (11').
    4. A turnstile according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the direction of rotation of the rotating head (4) is determinable by alternate action of the two locking members (14) on the guide part (7).
    5. A turnstile according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterised in that a contact (25) is associated with each locking arm (5, 5') and in that the contacts (25) are arranged in a fixed position on the turnstile (1).
    6. A turnstile according to one of Claims 1 to 5, characterised in that a stud (22), mounted so as to be axially movable, is associated with each locking arm (5, 5'), the stud (22) being intended for the purpose of acting on a spring-loaded tracer pin (24) and each tracer pin (24) being provided for the purpose of acting on a contact (25), and in that the studs (22) and the tracer pins (24) are located in the rotating head (4).
    7. A turnstile according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterised in that the rotating head (4) is stopped by engagement of the pushing parts (15) of the locking members (14) into the cams (16) of the guide part (7).
