Definitions

  • the invention relates to a fuel injection device for internal combustion engines, in particular two-stroke large diesel engines, with a nozzle head which projects into an assigned combustion chamber and is arranged eccentrically to the axis of the combustion chamber and which has a blind borehole which can be acted upon by fuel and from which a plurality of nozzle boreholes depart, which are arranged by means of a slide element arranged in the blind borehole.
  • a fuel injection device of this type is known from EP 0 606 371 B1.

  • the nozzle bores In order to avoid a large lateral scattering of the injection jet, the nozzle bores are not arranged radially with respect to the axis of the blind bore, but have a course that faces the main injection direction. At the same time there are very different contact angles in the area of the inner ends of the nozzle bores.
  • this object is achieved in that at least some of the nozzle bores are assigned entrance chambers which extend from the blind bore, the inside width of which is larger than the diameter of the nozzle bores and which are designed in such a way that all nozzle bores in the row of bores are at least aligned with one another
