Abstract

The bin consists of a number of stackable sections (3) set one on top of the other, each fitted with a tilting inner container (4) lied with a plastic bag to receive the waste, opened by a handle (2) and stable in open and closed positions. The sections are in different colours to denote the different types of waste to be placed in them.

Description

The bin consists of one or more elements, each of which can be used individually. Each element is costitué of two parts: an outer support (we will call from now recipient - 1/3 e fig.3 fig.) And a door for rubbish bags (we will call from now rocking - fig.1 / 4 e fig. 2).

Each element is stackable; the opening of the rocker in the phase filling as well as removing the rocker for emptying previously thanks to or rotary movement of the rocker.

The standard bin provides for the use of three superimposed elements (fig. 1) to match the differentiation of garbage currently used but can correspond to any type of sorting of household waste. The dimensions of the type trash can with three stackable elements allow the user to have a triple volume for garbage, for compared to household trash cans currently found in the trade.

The standard bin can also be used for built-in since its dimensions are compatible with kitchen standards by elements currently on the market.

The model, due to the exemplary design and the adopted mechanisms as well as the number of its components (two) is achievable at a price low cost in any material and in particular in the material plastics and metals.

The container and the scale of each element have a quadrangular base with rounded corners.

The container has the lower plane smaller than the upper plane for allow overlay.

On the front wall the container has an opening (fig. 3) which allows the rotation of the rocker outwards; on the side walls, inside of the container, there are notches (made through the modeling of the surface of the container) (fig. 3/7) on which the pivots of the bucket turn rocker (fig. 2/6); the upper wall of the container is boxed for allow partial stacking of the upper element (fig. 1); on the element top of the standard bin you can superimpose a small basin, divided in four compartments for sorting special household waste (batteries, medicines, etc.) (fig. 1/1).

The scale has in its upper part an internal rim which allows to hang the waste bag and on the side surfaces of molded pivots for the rocker rotation (made thanks to the modeling of the surface of the scale).

The scale is provided in its external front part with a notch for the hand of the user (fig. 1/2) to allow the opening of the scale and for replace and remove the garbage bag.

The contact walls between container and scale are watertight to avoid bad smells.

The weight of the rocker guarantees, by effect of gravitation and shape container-scale system geometry, automatic stop position (in stable equilibrium conditions) in the open position for the discharge of waste into the scale (fig. 1/4).

Brief analysis of the prior art

There are currently no commercially available waste bins domestic, for the selective sorting of household waste.

Known patents belong to two-part forms typology: bins with several buckets (of equal or different volume) for garbage collection inside a single container with opening and extraction of the buckets from above and bins with buckets located inside containers sliding horizontally on fixed slides as in commercial kitchen furniture drawers.

Regarding technology there are simple models by related to usage and functions and more sophisticated types too well regarding the functions (grinding, making and collecting) that as regards the mechanism that uses (cogs, levers, hooks, etc.).

Known patents use buckets placed side by side therefore have all planimetric dimensions larger than existing bins currently in commerce; so they take up more space than to these.

Goals

This patent aims to provide users with an easily acceptable solution for the selective sorting of household waste.

This is why the trash project was established by looking for solutions which offer a product of simple and convenient use, which conforms to current system based - in big cities - on the tripartition of garbage housewives, which does not require any upheaval in the replacement from the traditional trash since it occupies a similar space or Similar to the current one and at an acceptable price; all this therefore allows the user to appreciate the advantages of the separation of wet waste dry waste, the advantages of a larger volume available by compared to the current ones (plastic bags hanging on the handles of windows) and the benefits of convenient separation management waste and, finally, the benefits of waste recycling for community and for new generations.

Tests carried out, through prototypes, on user samples not representative of the Italian market (circle of friends), show that the product was welcomed and indicate that the trash would be favorably allowed even if it gave rise to a slight increase in the price (due at its level of finish and medium-high range design).
