Abstract

The fixed partition elements (7,9,10) each have a wider arm (7a,9a,10a) and a narrower arm (7b,9b,10b) connected at an angle. The wider arms are fixable on the room walls (1,2) and cover these from the shower area. A swivel door element (12,13) is hung from the free end of the narrower arm of at least one partition. Description

The invention relates to a shower enclosure for enclosing a shower room with fixed separating elements and at least one door element which is pivotally suspended on one of the fixed separating elements.

From DE-GM 72 27 448 a corner shower is known, the shower room has the shape of a cylinder quarter, while the shower tray has the shape of a circular district. First shower wall parts are formed by frames of a hollow profile, which has a U-shaped side part, and by plates which are received in the U-shaped frame side parts. Second shower wall parts are formed by the frame itself and have further U-shaped frame side parts, in which a cylinder jacket-shaped sliding door can engage. One of the second shower wall parts may be stationary and is then formed like a first shower wall part. In the corner area of the corner shower, the frame has been extended to a profile that can accommodate fittings.

Furthermore, from the WO 94/04063 a corner shower known in which the shower tray is square and carries at the four corners vertical posts. The first shower wall parts and one of the second shower wall parts are each by two posts and plates arranged between them, while the other of the second shower wall parts is embodied by a post itself. Between two posts a straight door is arranged. These known corner showers have the disadvantage that the first and second shower wall parts are formed from expensive frame profiles and plates, so that much assembly time is necessary for the manufacture of the splash guard walls and high installation costs arise.

In the EP 0 784 956 A1 discloses a shower outlet with at least one pivotable about a vertical axis pivoting wing. The EP 0 087 882 A2 shows a folding door, especially for shower enclosures of at least two wings, which are hinged to each other in the region of adjacent edges on hinge straps. The WO 97/22287 shows a shower with framed partition with plane-parallel walls and a hinged door. The present invention has for its object to provide a shower enclosure with fixed dividing elements and at least one door element that avoids expensive frame profiles, is easy to install and greatly facilitates the problems with the seal against room walls.

This object is achieved according to the present invention by a shower enclosure with the features of claim 1. The bend of the narrower leg relative to the wider leg of the separating elements is preferably 90 ° in order to allow the door element in this way, in continuation of the narrow leg, to be able to protrude at right angles from the room wall. However, it is also possible to angle the narrower leg of the separating elements only at an obtuse angle relative to the wider leg, z. B. by 135 °. Advantageously, the fixed partitions are made in one piece, that is, the narrow leg and the wide leg are integrally connected. As a result, no dirt or mold can settle more in any joints. However, it is also possible, instead of the one-piece connection to produce the narrow leg and the wide leg of the solid dividing elements from flat slices and angled by a connecting bar to connect with each other. Here, two receiving grooves for receiving the discs are preferably provided in the connecting bar, so that there is a good seal. Instead, however, it is also possible to produce the connecting strip of two parts, which are placed from both sides on the legs of the separating element and screwed together.

The door elements may consist of flat slices or be provided with a bend. For certain forms of shower enclosures, it is also expedient to form the door elements bent to allow adaptation to special shower tray shapes.

If the shower enclosure is designed as a corner solution, it preferably has two fixed separating elements and two door elements, wherein the wider legs of the separating elements can be fastened to the two room walls of a room corner and the pivotally hinged door elements close the shower space. The abutting free ends of the wide legs of the separating elements are then expediently covered by a corner plate or connected to each other, wherein the corner plate may be formed as a dashboard for receiving fittings. However, it is also possible, instead of a separate corner plate on the wider leg of a fixed separating element another To form legs, which is bent and rests against the wider leg of the other partition member such that the corner region of the shower room is closed to the room walls.

The present invention may also be used to advantage in a niche solution of a shower enclosure. In such a case, two fixed separating elements are provided, each with a wider and a narrower leg, wherein the rear wall of the room is covered by an additional, to be fixed to the room wall partition. The present invention is also suitable for shower enclosures to be mounted in front of a straight room wall. The solid separating elements 7 are plate-shaped, wherein the plates are made of waterproof material, for example laminated laminate, art glass or silicate glass. The embodiments according to the FIGS. 2 and 3 differ from the first embodiment in that the shower trays are rounded in the front region and the door elements 12a and 13a are bent and also follow this course. In FIG. 2 the legs 7a, 7b are also integrally connected to each other, and the legs 7a are attached via flat spacers 16 to the room walls 1, 2. The corner plate 14 is bent toward the shower room interior. The door elements 12, 13 are hinged in the same way by means of hinges 6 to the narrow legs 7b. Shower partition according to any one of Claims 1 - 9, characterised in that it is configured as a niche solution with two fixed separating elements (7), an additional separating element (8) to be fastened to the rear wall (3) of the room and a door element (12), in that the wider arms (7a) of the separating elements (7) can be fastened to the lateral walls (1, 2) of the room, in that the door element (12) is pivotably suspended from the narrow arm (7b) of one separating element and in that the free end of the door element (12) strikes against or strikes past the narrow arm (7b) of the other door element to close off the shower room.
19. Shower partition according to any one of Claims 1 - 9, characterised in that it is configured as a shower partition which is to be attached before a straight wall (3) of the room and in which a fixed separating element (10), formed for example of two integrally combined separating elements, can be fastened to the wall (3) of the room and has narrow arms (10b) which are offset on both sides and from which curved door elements (12a, 13a), which enclose an approximately circular shower room, are pivotably suspended.
20. Shower partition according to any one of Claims 11 - 13, 17 or 19, characterised in that the free ends of the door elements (12, 13) are sealed with sealing strips (17).
21. Shower partition according to any one of Claims 1 - 18 or 20, characterised in that the abutting free ends of the wide arms (7a) of the separating elements (7) or if appropriate the free ends of the additional separating element (8) in the niche solution are covered or joined together by a corner plate (14).
22. Shower partition according to Claim 21, characterised in that the corner plate (14) and the free ends of the wide arms (7a) are joined together by tongue-and-groove connections (18).
23. Shower partition according to either Claim 21 or Claim 22, characterised in that the corner plate (14) is configured as a fitting plate for receiving fittings (15).
24. Shower partition according to any one of Claims 8 - 23, characterised in that additional arms are provided on the separating elements or on the connecting elements as sealing strips for producing a seal on the walls (1, 2) of the room.
25. Shower partition according to Claim 24, characterised in that the sealing strips (19) are inserted into additional grooves in the separating elements or the connecting elements.
26. Shower partition according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the fixed separating walls (7, 8) can be fastened to the walls (1, 2, 3) of the room via spacers (16).
27. Shower partition according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the door elements (12, 13; 12a, 13a; 12b, 13b) are articulated to the narrow arms (7b; 9b; 10b) of the fixed separating elements (7; 9; 10) in such a way that the door element and narrow arm slightly overlap.
28. Shower partition according to any one of the preceding claims, characterised by an angled strip (5), which is to be attached to a shower tub (4) or is formed integrally therewith in the region of the walls (1, 2, 3) of the room, for producing a seal from the walls of the room.
29. Shower partition according to any one of Claims 1 - 28, characterised in that the fixed separating elements, the corner plate and the door elements consist of silicate safety glass.
30. Shower partition according to any one of Claims 1 - 28, characterised in that the separating elements, the corner plate and the door elements consist of artificial glass.
