Abstract

The panels of a shower cabinet are linked by two profiled strips, one (1) with a U-profile and the other (2) with an L-profile. The two strips are pulled together by screw fasteners and have interlocking edge profiles (28,36) for a secure fitting. The profiled strip connect to the panels and to the wall mounting strips which secure the panels to the wall. The strips form a universal fitting for the corners, wall mountings and other connectors for the shower cabinet.

Description

The invention relates to a kit for shower enclosures according to the features specified in the preamble of claim 1.

From DE-C-33 47 917 such a kit is known, which contains two connectable by means of a clamping body and a support body profiles and a frame profile. The first profile partially engages in the substantially U-shaped frame profile and the second profile is supported by means of the hook-like clamping body on a contact surface of the support body. A first profile combination can be connected to a room wall. Alternatively, in another profile combination with a significantly modified second profile and thus with an additional profile, the connection can be made with a side wall arranged at right angles to a door. In another profile combination, another profile is required for a so-called corner solution. The prior art kit contains a fairly large number of differently shaped profiles, further requiring the hook-shaped clamping body and the support body an additional effort.

Furthermore, from DE-A-41 06 116 a frame for shower partitions with two profiles is known, wherein the one profile is formed as an approximately U-shaped compensation profile, in which the second profile partially engages. By means of a special adjusting body, the mutual position of the two profiles is variable or adjustable.

Shower enclosures contain frames made of profile rails, which in particular consist of aluminum or an aluminum alloy and are connected to one another with suitable connecting means. Shower enclosures can be known to telescopically sliding sliding doors, hinged doors or folding doors contain, with suitable guide means or storage means are provided, the doors can be designed as a flat elements or as curved or angled elements as needed substantially. Furthermore, shower enclosures can have fixed wall elements, which are arranged laterally to a passage opening, which can be closed with the said doors and released as required. Such fixed wall elements can be arranged laterally of the passage opening in the same vertical plane as this or at a predeterminable angle to this. Due to the type variety of shower enclosures was previously entprechend large number of rails and thus a high production and storage costs required.

On this basis, the present invention seeks to propose a kit of rails, which in different types of shower enclosure and / or can be provided for different installation options. The rails, hereafter referred to as simplicity as profiles should be combined with each other and possibly with other rails or profiles according to the particular conditions of use and with a reduced proportion of profiles and accessories a large variety of types of shower enclosures can be realized.

The solution of this task is carried out according to the features specified in claim 1.

The kit proposed according to the invention comprises a first profile with an approximately U-shaped cross section and a second profile with an approximately L-shaped cross section, the respective outer limbs of these profiles being approximately coincident in the area of the visible outer surfaces. The two profiles can be connected to each other with connecting elements, for example to obtain a corner post with two visible to a viewer matching and approximately perpendicular to each other extending outer surfaces. The first profile includes an inner leg approximately parallel to said outer leg, said legs being connected to each other with a connecting leg. The connecting leg are assigned in an appropriate manner fastening means in the form of grooves, behind-grip webs or the like for attachment of another profile. These fastening means are further arranged such that the first profile is connectable to a wall, be it a fixed room wall of a shower or bath room or with a side wall of the shower enclosure. The second profile contains in the angled leg of the outer leg a groove for receiving a plate, in particular a fixed wall element. This groove is particularly provided such that the plate extends approximately in the same direction as the outer leg of the second profile.

The said profiles can be combined depending on the configuration of the shower enclosure with other profiles, which contain, for example, joint body for a door or allow the connection of a fixed wall element in a predetermined angle. The outer leg and the inner leg of the first profile are preferably formed and associated with each other so that a compensation profile in the required depth in the space between said legs is inserted, wherein expediently a connecting body is provided to work in conjunction with a connecting element specify the insertion depth to be able to. The fixed wall elements are designed to match the different types of shower enclosures, so that the manufacturing and storage costs is further reduced.

The first profile 1 is approximately U-shaped with an outer leg 18 and an inner leg 20, which are connected to each other via a connecting leg 22. The second profile 2 includes an outer leg 32 whose contour or outer surface 34 substantially coincides with that of the outer leg 18 of the first profile 1. As already explained, the two profiles 1, 2 are part of the frame of the shower enclosure. The plate 16 of the fixed wall element 14 is anchored in an expedient manner by means of the clamping and / or sealing profile 42 in the vertical longitudinal groove 40, wherein according to the groove depth tolerance compensation is easily ensured.

Furthermore, in a particular embodiment, the first profile 1 in the region of the connecting leg 22 and the inner leg 20 is substantially orthogonal then an extension leg 52, on which the second profile 2 rests with its transverse leg 38. Fig. 2 shows the first profile 1 in another installation situation, as a second vertical frame profile, which connects as shown in FIG. 1 at the left ends of the two illustrated there horizontal upper and lower rail 4. Between the outer leg 11 and the inner leg 20 of the first profile 1, a compensation profile 76 is arranged with a connecting body 78. The compensation profile 76 is preferably formed as a U-profile and includes two parallel legs 80, 82, wherein the lower leg according to the drawing 82 rests against the inner surface of the inner leg 20 of the first profile 1. The connecting body 78 is preferably made of plastic and allows in cooperation with a connecting element 84, the adjustment of the compensation profile 76 in the direction of arrow 86 with respect to the first profile 1. The compensation profile 76 is attached, for example, to a room wall 88 by means of screws and dowels in a known manner. The connecting element 84 is rotatably fixed in the region of its head 90 in a corresponding recess of the connecting leg 22, while the connecting body 78 is connected to the compensating profile 76, as indicated by the dotted lines 92. Fig. 8 shows a possible use of the modified first profile 1 with the second profile 2. Claims (10)

1. A kit for shower partitions including two shaped elements (1, 2), wherein the first shaped element (1) has an approximately U-shaped cross section, the shaped element (2) has an approximately L-shaped cross section, and both elements also have outer legs (18, 32) which can be braced directly or indirectly, and wherein the first shaped element (1) has an inner leg (20)

   that the second shaped element (2) is able to be positioned over a partial area (44) and/or a fin (46) flush with the inner leg (20) of the first shaped element (1) via a cross member (38),
   and that the kit includes a third shaped element that is designed as a U-shaped adjusting element (76) and is able to be inserted and connected via a connecting member (78) between the outer leg (11) and the inner leg (20) of the first shaped element (1) instead of the second shaped element (2) in such manner that a leg (82) of the adjusting element (76) lies flush with the inner leg (20) of the first shaped element (1), wherein the relative distance between the adjusting element (76) and the first shaped element (1) is adjustable via the connecting member (78).
2. The kit according to claim 1, characterised in that the outer legs (18, 32) have outer surfaces (24, 34) that are shaped essentially congruently.

The kit according to either of claims 1 or 2, characterised in that the kit further contains a connecting shaped element (102, 114) or a hinged element (128), which may optionally be arranged in such manner between the second shaped element (2) and the first shaped element (1) and connected therewith that the connecting shaped element (102, 114) or the hinged element (128) engage in the groove (28) of the first shaped element (1) with a corresponding fin.
