Abstract
Description
It is known to provide in buildings, vehicles, ships and aircraft luminescent signals indicating the direction of escape routes in case of danger. For this, e.g. provided in aircraft on the edge of the central corridor luminescent strips that are held on a support profile and covered by a transparent cover profile. In buildings or on ships, the luminescent strips can also be provided additionally or alternatively on walls. Such a device is known for example from US-A-4998391. The material of the strip contains zinc sulphide to achieve luminescent properties. The cover profile is made of transparent polyvinyl chloride, while the support profile is formed of an aluminum alloy. In this device, there is the disadvantage that it has a relatively large height due to the support profile and thereby protrudes from the flooring commonly used. Another disadvantage is that the persistence of the luminescent strip is limited and the cover made of polyvinyl chloride is scratched relatively quickly by committing, resulting in light losses.
The prior international patent application WO 96/33093, published after the filing date of the present patent application, also describes an apparatus for forming luminescent signal areas on a floor surface. In the priority application to WO 96/33093, GB 9604994.5, filed after the oldest priority date of the present application, it is stated that instead of Zinc sulfide and strontium aluminate may be included as afterglow in the afterglow strip.
The object of the invention is to provide a device of the type described above in such a way that it has improved afterglow characteristics and a longer compared to the prior art Nachleuchtdauer, with low construction with adaptation to the height of the flooring, with damage caused by walking largely avoided should be.

The
The
On the
To cover the
Under the plane of the
Fig. 10 shows a
Fig. 11 shows a
The
