Definitions

  • the invention relates to corrosion-resistant apparatus covers, in particular cell covers for electrolytic cells, with an improved wall lining.
  • the proposed Liner that is easier to remove is particularly suitable for use new or used lids of electrolytic cells made using the amalgam process work.
  • a cover for an electrolysis cell is already known from EP-A 655 520, which is lined with titanium.
  • plastic films are also used to cover the cells (so-called “Membrane cover”).
  • the invention has for its object a device cover with corrosion-resistant Liner to create the disadvantages of the known constructions does not have, the lid with a more easily removable lining made of plastic or metal.
  • current feedthroughs for example, when using it as an electrolytic cell cover.
  • the object is achieved in that on prepared i.e. tailored, drilled or chamfered plastic plates the implementations for the Anodes are attached, e.g. by welding. After placing it on the steel cover the anode sleeves slip out of the holes by suitable Holding devices prevented, e.g. by holding plates or screw connections.
  • the invention relates to an apparatus cover with a corrosion-resistant lining and at least one electrical feedthrough, characterized in that that the lining is made of plastic and on the current lead-through with a cover wall protruding sleeve is firmly and gastight connected that the sleeve with a releasable fastener is fixed to the lid wall, and that the space between the current feedthrough and the sleeve using a releasable sealant is sealed, the feedthrough opposite the sleeve and the cover is electrically insulated.
  • An additional sealant running around the sleeve is preferred in the apparatus cover provided that prevents the escape of corrosive gases.
  • the fastening means for fastening the Sleeve on the cover a clamping ring which engages in a groove on the sleeve, or a Union nut which engages in a thread on the sleeve.
  • the sealant is on the feedthrough pulled down so far that it also leads through the interior of the Encloses sleeve and electrically insulated.
  • lining and the top wall Insulating layer made of a closed-pore polymer foam, in particular of polyurethane foam, e.g. in plate form.
  • the lining of the apparatus cover consists of plastic, in particular polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), polytetrafluoroethylene-co-hexafluoropropylene (FEP), perfluoroalkoxy polymers (PFA) or (PVC, PVC-HT).
  • PVDF polyvinylidene fluoride
  • FEP polytetrafluoroethylene-co-hexafluoropropylene
  • PFA perfluoroalkoxy polymers
  • PVC PVC, PVC-HT
  • the cell covers can be as described with plastics, e.g. PVDF, FEP, PFA, PVC.
  • the large area Lining plates and sleeves for anode feedthroughs can be placed under optimal conditions, e.g. by welding.
  • the Surface of the metal cell cover can be covered with an additional coating Corrosion protection. In particular come as a material for a coating DD lacquers or epoxy resins in question.
  • the lids can also be coated on all sides with a suitable coating as corrosion protection be provided.
  • the proposed detachable connections are particularly for cladding Metallic covers of electrolytic cells for the production of chlorine after Amalgam process suitable.
  • the invention also relates to the use of the apparatus cover according to the invention as a housing cover for electrolysers, especially for chlor-alkali electrolysis, e.g. B. after the amalgam process.
  • Fig. 1 shows a side view of an embodiment of the invention Apparatus cover.
  • Fig. 2 shows a detail corresponding to a section A-A 'in Figure 1 in the area of Sleeve 5 and the current feedthrough 12th
  • Fig. 3 shows an alternative detail according to a section A-A 'in Figure 1 in Area of sleeve 5.
  • Fig. 1 shows a segment of a lid of an electrolytic cell in which chlorine after Amalgam process is made, with a loose cover 2 made of plastic and a conventional anode bushing 12 through the lid 1.
  • the plate-shaped covering 2 e.g. made of PVDF, FEP, PVC
  • the sleeve 5 for the anode bushing 12 see FIG. 2
  • the Cell cover 1 placed on the liner 2 the sleeves 5 through holes 3 range in the top wall 1.
  • additional insulation 4 is provided as a barrier to harmful gases.
  • Fig. 2 shows a section through a sleeve 5 with anode bushing 12.
  • Brackets for example clamping rings 6 made of plastic or metal into a groove 13 in the sleeve 5 prevents the sleeves 5 from the holes 3 slide out in cover 1. Slipping out can alternatively z. B. also by a Screw connections 16, 17 can be prevented (see Fig. 3).
  • Sealing the Anodes 12 are made, for example, by means of a rubber washer 8, which with the Flange 9 and the screw connections 10 are pressed onto the upper edge of the sleeve 5 e.g. to seal the reaction space from the environment.
  • the further one Seal 7 is intended to prevent e.g. when cleaning the top of the lid Moisture gets between the lining 2 and the cell cover 1. To avoid of corrosion on the underside of the cover 1, this is with a suitable Provide corrosion protection 11.
  • Fig. 3 shows a section through a sleeve 5 with anode bushing 12, in which the Sleeve is fixed with the help of a union nut 17.
  • the rubber seal is pulled down in the inner region 15 of the sleeve 5 around the bushing 12 secure against a short circuit with the sleeve 5 if it is made of metal.
