Zur Seitensteuerung dienen seitliche Führungsrollen, deren Anlage an den Schienenköpfen ebenfalls durch einen Stellzylinder erreicht wird. Durch eine Höheneinstellung der Gleitschuhe gegenüber den Gehäusen kann die Schnittiefe der Fräsmesserköpfe den jeweiligen Anforderungen angepaßt werden. Nachteilig bei diesen bekannten Vorrichtungen ist allerdings, daß der Fahrgestellrahmen des Schienenfahrzeuges Im Bereich der Fräsvorrichtung nach oben auskragen muß, um Platz für die Fräsvorrichtung zu schaffen. Trotz des nach oben auskragenden Fahrgestellrahmens, der eine ungünstige Schwerpunktsverlagerung des Schienenfahrzeuges nach oben bedingt, ergeben sich für die Fräsvorrichtung gedrängte Platzverhältnisse, was unter anderem zu einer Beschränkung des Durchmessers der Fräsmesserköpfe mit dem zusätzlichen Nachteil führt, daß aufgrund der vom Durchmesser des Fräsmesserkopfes abhängigen Schneidbahnen der Fräsmesser eine größere Welligkeit der bearbeiteten Schienenoberfläche als bei größeren Durchmessern in Kauf genommen werden muß. Außerdem wird mit dem Fräsmesserkopfdurchmesser die Anzahl der einsetzbaren Fräsmesser beschränkt, was sich auf die Standzeit dieser Fräsmesserköpfe auswirkt. Mit der Lagerung des Fräsmesserkopfes oberhalb des Fahrgestellrahmens überragt der Fräsmesserkopf außerdem den Fahrgestellrahmen zumindest um den halben Durchmesser, so daß ein Messerwechsel vom Fahrzeuginneren her ohne weiteres möglich wird. Dies bedeutet, daß die Seitenwangen 17 des Gehäuses 7 und die Fräsmesserköpfe 4 den Fahrgestellrahmen 13 des Schienenfahrzeuges 3 in Aussparungen 22 durchsetzen müssen. Diese Anordnung erzwingt einen vergleichsweise großen Durchmesser für die Fräsmesserköpfe 4, die daher vergleichsweise weit nach oben in das Fahrzeuginnere vorragen. Dieser Umstand erlaubt es, die Fräsmesser 5 vom Fahrzeuginneren her auszuwechseln. Hiefür sind lediglich entsprechende Deckel 23 der für die Fräsmesserköpfe 4 vorgesehenen Abdeckungen 24 zu öffnen, um die Fräsmesser 5 im oberen Scheitelbereich der Fräsmesserköpfe 4 frei zugänglich auswechseln zu können, sobald der jeweilige Fräsmesserkopf 4 über den vertikal verstellbaren Schlitten 8 entsprechend angehoben wird. Zwischen den Abdeckungen 24 bleibt ja ein begehbarer Gang 25 frei (Fig. 2). Wegen der einfachen Auswechselbarkeit der Fräsmesser 5 vom Fahrzeuginneren her kann bei der Anordnung von zwei Fräsmesserköpfen 4 je Schiene 1 ein kontinuierlicher Fräsbetrieb unabhängig von der Stand-zeit der einzelnen Fräsmesserköpfe 4 erreicht werden, weil während des Fräseinsatzes des einen Fräsmesserkopfes 4 der andere mit neuen Messern 5 versehen werden kann, wie dies in der Fig. 1 angedeutet ist.As can be seen in particular from FIG. 2, the cross slides 9 are arranged above the frame 13, so that the axes of the milling cutter heads 5 also lie above the chassis frame 13.
