Cette ossature est composée pour les principaux éléments de la structure de deux poutres circulaires (4) et d'un ensemble de poutres (5) qui assure la rigidité de la plate-forme sur laquelle le plancher cylindrique (6) est posé. Les poutres (5) permettent le débord de la plate-forme par rapport au mur extérieur.
- L'ensemble de roues (3) est au choix :
- Fixées sur les murs circulaires (1) et roulent sur la poutre circulaire (4) de l'ossature de la plate-forme.
- Fixées sur l'ossature de la plate-forme et roulent sur un chemin de roulement défini sur le, les murs circulaires (1) et, ou sur des poteaux intérieurs de soutien.
- L'ensemble de chaque roue (3) est composé d'un support à léger effet de ressort qui permet d'assurer une pression presque constante au niveau de chaque roue (3) et évite ainsi une déformation l'ossature de la plate-forme liée aux défauts de planéité du chemin de roulement ou aux faibles déformations possibles des fondations (2).

Ces montants servent également à la fixation de l'ensemble des marches.
