Ausgelöst wird die Drehung der Trommel 11 durch die an ihr wirkende Gurtkraft. Das Ablassen des Gurtes 6 erfolgt so lange, bis der Lichtstrahl 16 nicht mehr unterbrochen wird. Danach wird die Bremse des Antriebs wieder angezogen. Dieser Vorgang wiederholt sich so oft, bis die hier gezeigte Endstellung (blanker Gurt) erreicht ist.
