Description

The subject of the invention is a sliding door roller fitting, comprising at least one roller to be moved on a rail, and means for connecting the carrying roller to a sliding door.

Sliding door roller fittings are known. They serve to suspend the sliding door on a rail attached to the ceiling and to allow their displacement. Such sliding doors can be used as connecting doors between living rooms or on a smaller scale as cabinet doors use. They usually comprise a subframe with two mounted on this pair of rollers, which are guided in a roller channel or on a rail and a connecting means, which projects through the slot in the rail down and is held on a holding means on the upper edge of the sliding door. As a connecting means usually a screw is used with hexagonal head, which is screwed into the subframe and which is mounted with its head in a slot in the holding means.
This known sliding door roller fitting meets the requirements placed on him function; For aesthetic reasons, however, it is desirable that the distance between the lower edge of the guide rail and the guide rail channel and the upper edge of the Sliding door is as low as possible. Here are the known roles fitting limits. In addition, the adjustment of the sliding door is expensive.
From US-A 3,057,005 a sliding door fitting is known in which the lower end of a bolt has the shape of a gear. The bolt meshes in a threaded hole on the roller stool of the sliding door fitting. The gear laterally projects beyond both the retaining plate and the sliding door, so that either by hand or with a tool of the bolt is rotatable, without the sliding door must be removed from the drive before. A locking device on a cover plate, which overlaps the end face of the sliding door, engages under the toothed screw head and is by means of a knob on this latched to lock the bolt in the set position.
The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a sliding door roller fitting, the holding means have a very low height and in which the adjustment of the distance between the sliding door upper edge and the lower edge of the roller channel in a simple manner and tool-free is possible.
This object is achieved by a sliding door roller fitting according to claim 1.
The use of a thin U-shaped, attachable to the upper edge of the sliding plate under which in a slot-shaped recess in the door top edge of the head of the connecting means serving as a screw is inserted, allows the guiding of the sliding door with the least possible distance from the guide rail. The necessary for the insertion of the U-shaped plate recess in the top edge of the sliding door allows the use of sliding door constructions with very narrow frame. The serving for the adjustment of the sliding door with respect to the guide rail wrench is part of the front-side closure lid of the holding device and locking means for the connecting means within the sliding door. The sliding door roller fitting is very inexpensive to produce, since the holding device requires only a producible by punching sheet metal part and a producible as a plastic injection molded wrench or cover.

In Figure 1, the upper edge of a sliding door 1 with a frame 3, such as a hardwood frame and with a filling 5 is partially visible. Above the frame 3 is a guide rail or a guide channel 7 with a rectangular cross section and with two roller conveyors 9 for the rollers 11,13 of a roller carriage 15 with a roller bolster 17. The roller bolster 17 carries the two pairs of rollers 11,13 and serves a connecting means, shown Example of a cylindrical screw 19 with a threaded portion 21 and a hex screw head 23, as anchoring. The screw 19 is rotatably supported in a continuous thread 25 and axially adjustable. The roller bolster 17 and / or the pairs of rollers 11,13 may be made of plastic or metal. The guide channel 7 can be down to a living room or Cabinet cover 14 screwed or inserted into a correspondingly formed, the guide channel receiving groove (no Fig.).

In the frame 3 of the sliding door 1 is located in a first recess 27, a U-shaped flat, produced from a sheet plate 29 preferably flush with the surface 31 of the frame 3. In the area below the slot 33 in the holding plate 29 is a second stepped recess 35th whose width is slightly greater than the width of the slot 33. In the two legs 37 and the connecting part 39 of the holding plate 29 conical countersunk screw holes 39 are mounted for wood screws 41. The ends of the legs 37 are mounted on the sliding door 1, by an amount a to the end edge 39 of the sliding door 1 set back. With wood screws or other, a flawless, on claimable claim securing screws 43, the retaining plate 29 is connected to the sliding door 1.

In the space formed by the second recess 35 below the holding plate 29 a designed as a wrench 47 and locking device cover plate 45 is used. The front part of the wrench 47 on the left side of the illustrations in Figures 5 and 7 serves as a cover plate 45. This comes in the outer, of the Holding plate 29 uncovered area of the recess 35 to lie, and it has a thickness a. In the cover plate 45, a bore 49 is inserted for the front-side insertion of a screw 51. At the back of the cover plate 45 connect two parallel trusses 53, which then unite and wear at their common end an annular wrench head 55. The wrench head 55 fits on the screw head 23 of the screw 19 on the roller frame 15. At the two trusses 53, the gap 57 between the trusses 53 narrowing cam 59 are attached or formed. The cams 59 also project beyond the surfaces of the two trusses 53 by an amount b. The distance c between the opposing surfaces of the cam 59 is smaller than the diameter of the threaded shank 61 of the screw 51, which end face in the bore 49 of the cover plate 45 can be screwed. The outer edges of the two cams 59 are at a distance g, which corresponds to the width of the slot between the two legs 37 of the retaining plate 29. The cams 59 are at a distance d from the trailing edge of the cover plate 45 and have a width e.

The cams 59 are designed and intended to engage in recesses 63 on the retaining plate 29. The cuts 63 are to a play-free connection between the wrench 47 and the retaining plate 29, also formed at a distance d from the back of the cover plate 45 away and have a width e.

Selbstverständlich sind jeder Schiebetür 1 mindestens zwei Rollenwagen 15 zugeordnet.Of course, each sliding door 1 at least two roller carriage 15 assigned.

In the following, the installation, the adjustment and the mode of operation of the sliding door roller fitting will now be explained in more detail.
On the ceiling 14 of the cabinet or living room, the box-shaped guide channel 7 is attached. At the upper edge of the sliding door 1, a first recess 27 is milled out, which has a depth f corresponding to the thickness of the retaining plate 29 and follows the contour of the retaining plate 29. In the central region of the first recess 27, the second recess 35 comes to rest. Of course, the two recesses 27 and 35 can be generated with a suitable step cutter in one operation. In the first recess, the holding plate 29 is inserted and fixed with, for example, five screws 43 on the frame 3 of the sliding door 1. The roller carriage 15 is retracted at the end or by a correspondingly formed lateral opening in the guide channel 7 and the screw 19 so far screwed in that the shank of the screw 19 at the front into the slot 33 of the retaining plate 29 can be inserted and the screw head 23 comes to lie in the recess 35. From this moment, the weight of the sliding door 1 depends on the roller carriage 15. Now, the wrench 55 can be inserted into the second recess 35 on the face side and plugged onto the screw head 23. So that the entire second recess 35 does not have to have a depth which corresponds to the height of the screw head 23 and the thickness of the wrench 47, only a short section 65 of the second recess 35 is provided at the beginning with a greater depth. With the combined as a cover plate 45 wrench 47, the vertical position of the sliding door 1 can now be adjusted. The gap between the upper edge 31 of the sliding door 1 and the underside of the guide channel 7 can be substantially reduced to one or less than one millimeter. With the wrench can be performed according to Figure 12 rotational movements of about 70 °.

After adjustment, the cover plate 35 is completely inserted with the wrench 47 in the second recess 35, wherein the wrench head 55 remains plugged onto the screw head 23. When screwing the screw 51, the distance c of the two cams 59 are increased and the cams 51 are engaged in the notches 63 on the holding plate 29. The roller carriage 15 is now held immovably with respect to the sliding door 1 in both directions.
