This device 1 consists of a conveyor drum 2 rotating about a horizontal axis of rotation 3, above which is assigned a magazine 4 stacking the multi-leaf, folded printed products. Of course, as is well known, the printed products could also be fed to the conveyor drum in a standing, stacked arrangement. The stacking table 5 of the magazine 4 carrying the printed products forms a bottom opening 7 with the pivotally coupled retractable retainer 6, through which the printed products are cyclically captured in the folding area by a separating device 9 having a plurality of suction cups 8 and are initially partially lifted down from the stack. The individual suction cups 8 are connected to a pivotably mounted hollow shaft 10, which in turn is connected to a vacuum source (not visible). This mode of operation is known and therefore requires no explanation.
So that the printed products can be partially lifted off the stack by the separating device 9, the retainer 6 supporting the stack in the fold area is withdrawn in a short sequence, as mentioned above.

Das im Falzbereich abgehobene Druckprodukt wird anschliessend durch eine an der in Richtung R drehenden Fördertrommel 2 befestigten, geöffneten Greifvorrichtung 11 unterlaufen, und in dem Moment von der Trennvorrichtung 9 freigegeben, wo ein beweglicher Greifarm 12 auf den Falzbereich des Druckproduktes aufschlägt bzw. letzteres auf einen mit der Greifvorrichtung 11 zusammenwirkenden Greifamboss 13 presst (dargestellt ohne Druckprodukt in Fig. 2 unterhalb des Rückhalters 6).
Der in Fig. 1 erkennbare zweiteilige Greifarm 12, der an den Endbereichen einer eine zur Drehachse 3 parallele Achse 14 bildenden, in einem Förderrad 16 der Fördertrommel 2 gelagerten Welle 15 mit dieser fest verbunden ist, wirkt mit an dem Greifamboss 13 befestigten, nichtmetallischen Erhebungen 17 zusammen, die den Reibungseffekt auf das jeweils eingespannte Druckprodukt begünstigen.
Das Oeffnen oder Schliessen der Greifvorrichtung 11 erfolgt durch einen in stationären resp. ortsfesten, auf zwei Vertikalebenen verteilte Führungsbahnen 18, 19 um die Drehachse 3 umlaufenden Doppelrollenhebel 20, der mit der Welle 15 durch einen erkennbaren Keil drehfest verbunden ist und an dem der eine in Schliessrichtung abgewinkelte Teil des Greifarmes 12 verstellbar festgeschraubt ist. Der andere, der Greifvorrichtung 11 zugehörige Greifarmteil ist auf die Welle 15 aufgesteckt und durch eine Klemmverbindung 21 an dieser arretiert.
Zwischen den zu einem Greifarm 12 abgewinkelten Teilen lagert der hebelartig ausgebildete Greifamboss 13, der im Querschnitt jochartig ausgebildet ist, an der Welle 15, welche wiederum von zwei beabstandeten Rillenkugellager 22 in einer Bohrung 23 im Umfangbereich des Förderrades 16 aufgenommen wird. Letzteres, das mit mehr als nur einer Greifvorrichtung 11 am Umfang ausgebildet sein kann, ist gemäss Fig. 2 im Wirkbereich der Greifvorrichtung 11 mit einer Ausnehmung 24 versehen. Der Boden der Ausnehmung 24 weist eine Vertiefung 25 auf, in der eine Druckfeder 26 angeordnet ist, die den Greifamboss 13 gegen einen Anschlag 27 an dem Förderrad 16 stösst, sofern die Greifvorrichtung 11 kein Druckprodukt festhält.

The opening or closing of the gripping device 11 is carried out by a stationary or resp. Fixed, on two vertical planes distributed guideways 18, 19 around the axis of rotation 3 rotating double roller lever 20, which is rotatably connected to the shaft 15 by a recognizable wedge and on which the angled part of the gripper arm 12 is screwed adjustably. The other, the gripping device 11 associated gripping arm part is attached to the shaft 15 and locked by a clamping connection 21 thereon.
Between the parts angled to form a gripper arm 12, the lever-like gripper anvil 13, which is yoke-like in cross section, is supported on the shaft 15, which in turn is received by two spaced deep groove ball bearings 22 in a bore 23 in the circumferential region of the feed wheel 16. The latter, which can be formed on the circumference with more than just one gripping device 11, is provided with a recess 24 in the effective area of the gripping device 11 according to FIG. 2. The bottom of the recess 24 has a recess 25, in which a compression spring 26 is arranged, which pushes the gripping anvil 13 against a stop 27 on the feed wheel 16, provided that the gripping device 11 does not hold a printed product.

Die in Fig. 2 mit strichpunktierter Linie veranschaulichte Offenstellung des Greifarms 12, die in der Praxis etwa auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite der Drehachse 3 der Fördertrommel 2 zur Loslösung des Druckproduktes eintritt, vermittelt gegenüber der Schliessstellung einen Bewegungswinkel α von etwa 120°.
Der Doppelrollenhebel 20 weist an den Hebelenden jeweils an vorstehenden Lagerzapfen 28, 29 drehbar befestigte Rollen 30, 31 resp. Rillenkugellager auf, von denen jede in einer Führungsbahn 18, 19 geführt ist. Die geschlossen bzw. endlos ausgebildeten Führungsbahnen 18, 19 befinden sich in einem ortsfesten Führungsschild 32, in welchem auch die Antriebswelle 33 der Fördertrommel 2 einseitig gelagert ist. Als Antriebsverbindung zwischen Antriebswelle 33 und Fördertrommel 2 ist ein Keil 34 vorgesehen. Die Seitenbereiche der Fördertrommel 2 sind durch Stützscheiben 35 ausgebildet, die der Auflage der die Greifvorrichtung 11 seitlich überragenden Druckprodukte dient. Fig. 1 zeigt weiter, dass bei der dargestellten Ausführung die Führungsbahnen 18, 19 und die ihnen jeweils zugeordnete Rolle 30, 31 des Doppelrollenhebels 20 in zueinander versetzten Vertikalebenen zur Drehachse 3 der Fördertrommel 2 angeordnet sind.
Der Abstand der Rollenachsen zur Achse 14 der Welle 15 ist bei der vorliegenden Ausführung -nicht zwingend- gleich und der Doppelhebel 36 weist eine stumpf abgewinkelte Form auf (siehe Fig. 2), die im Winkelbereich eine Verbindung mit bzw. eine Lagerung an der Welle 15 gestattet.
Die auf den Doppelrollenhebel 20 steuernd einwirkenden Führungsbahnen 18, 19 sind in mehrere zur Auslösung der Funktionen der Greifvorrichtung 11 bestimmte Abschnitte aufgeteilt.

The double roller lever 20 has at the lever ends of each protruding bearing pin 28, 29 rotatably fastened rollers 30, 31 respectively. The side areas of the conveyor drum 2 are formed by support disks 35, which serve to support the printed products projecting laterally from the gripping device 11. 1 further shows that in the embodiment shown the guideways 18, 19 and the roller 30, 31 of the double roller lever 20 assigned to them are arranged in mutually offset vertical planes to the axis of rotation 3 of the conveyor drum 2.
The distance between the roller axes and the axis 14 of the shaft 15 is not necessarily the same in the present embodiment and the double lever 36 has an obtuse angled shape (see FIG. 2), which in the angular range connects to or supports the shaft 15 allowed.
The guide tracks 18, 19 acting on the double roller lever 20 are divided into several sections intended to trigger the functions of the gripping device 11.

Dabei ist es nicht erheblich, ob der Druckproduktestapel oberhalb -mit aufeinanderliegenden Druckprodukten- oder seitlich versetzt -mit aneinanderstehenden Druckprodukten- zur Fördertrommel 2 angeordnet ist; die einzelnen Funktionsabschnitte der miteinander gemeinsam auf den Doppelrollenhebel 20 bzw. die Greifvorrichtung 11 oder den Greifarm 12 einwirkenden Führungsbahnen 18, 19 sind allenfalls bezüglich ihrer Länge unterschiedlich ausgebildet.
Das veranschaulichte Ausführungsbeispiel zeigt in Fig. 2 einen auf dem Stapeltisch 5 stehenden Druckproduktestapel. Bei einer Umdrehbewegung der Fördertrommel 2 wird durch eine Greifvorrichtung 11 das unterste Druckprodukt dem Stapel entnommen und angelegt, sei es zur Bildung eines Schuppenstromes oder in einer Vereinzelungsformation.
Durch eine der erfindungsgemässen Vorrichtung nachgeschaltete Druckprodukte-Oeffnungsvorrichtung wäre eine Verwendung für einen Sammelhefter ebenso möglich.
In der dargestellten Position der Greifvorrichtung 11 gemäss Fig. 2 hat letztere ein Druckprodukt übernommen, das unmittelbar vorher von der Trennvorrichtung 9 im Falzbereich vom Stapel abgehoben worden ist, wobei zu jenem Zeitpunkt der Rückhalter 6 aus dem Erfassungsbereich der Trennvorrichtung 9 ausgeschwenkt war.
Gemäss Darstellung hat sich die Greifvorrichtung 11 soeben geschlossen, -das Vakuum ist an der Trennvorrichtung jetzt ausgeschaltet-, und begibt sich anschliessend auf den Transportweg des Druckproduktes, das mit relativ hoher Geschwindigkeit unter dem Stapel herausgezogen wird.

Using a printed product opening device downstream of the device according to the invention would also make it possible to use it for a saddle stitcher.
In the illustrated position of the gripping device 11 according to FIG. 2, the latter has taken over a printed product which was lifted from the stack by the separating device 9 in the fold area immediately beforehand, the retainer 6 having been swung out of the detection area of the separating device 9 at that time.
As shown, the gripping device 11 has just closed, the vacuum is now switched off at the separating device, and then embarks on the transport path of the printed product, which is pulled out from the stack at a relatively high speed.

Die Befreiung der Druckprodukte durch Oeffnen der Greifvorrichtung 11 erfolgt unmittelbar anschliessend, indem sich die Führungsbahnen 18, 19 nach den Bahnabschnitten 37, 38 kreuzen, so dass die im Bereich der Bahnabschnitte 37, 38 äussere Führungsbahn 18 ihre Lage nach innen -also näher zur Drehachse 3 hinund die im Bereich der Bahnabschnitte 37, 38 innere Führungsbahn 19 die Lage nach aussen ändert; dies selbstverständlich übergangslos resp. stetig. Der Verlauf der Führungsbahnen 18, 19 ändert sich ein weiteres Mal durch einen kreuzenden Verlauf der Führungsbahnen 18, 19 vor der Schliessbewegung der Greifvorrichtung 11, unmittelbar vor dem Beginn der konzentrischen Bahnabschnitte 37, 38. Diese Funktionsfolge orientiert sich nach der Drehrichtung R der Fördertrommel 2.
Der Verlauf der Führungsbahnen 18, 19 zur Offenstellung der Greifvorrichtung 11 durch Kreuzen der Führungsbahnen 18, 19 ist auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite der Drehachse 3 vorzugsweise so gewählt, dass der offene Greifarm 12 etwa wie in Fig. 2 gezeigt hinter den Umfang der Fördertrommel 2 zurückschwenkt.

Claims (17)

  1. Device (1) for charging a processing line with printed products, comprising a conveyor drum (2) which pulls the stack of printed products individually from a magazine (4), and which, on an approximately circular circulation path, on which the printed product lifted partly off the stack by means of a separating device (9) can be laid with an edge to be gripped, has a gripping device (11) which is formed by at least one movable gripping arm (12), can be controlled into an open or a closed position by means of a cam mechanism connected to a closed guide track that is arranged in a vertical plane with respect to the axis of rotation (3) and arranged in a stationary position about the latter, and accepts the printed product from the separating device (9), characterized in that the movable gripping arm (12) of the gripping device (11) is connected to a double roller lever (20) which is mounted on the conveyor drum (2) such that it can be pivoted about an axis (14) parallel to the axis of rotation (3) of the latter and revolves in two closed guide tracks (18, 19) which are arranged in a fixed position in at least one vertical plane around the axis of rotation (3) of the conveyor drum (2).
  2. Device according to Claim 1, characterized in that the guide tracks (18, 19) respectively assigned to a roller (30, 31) of the double roller lever (20) are arranged in spaced-apart vertical planes in relation to the axis of rotation (3) of the conveyor drum (2).
  3. Device according to Claim 1 or 2, having at least one gripping device (11) formed by a part of the conveyor drum (2) and a movable gripping arm (12).
  4. Device according to Claim 1 or 2, having at least one gripping device (11) which is formed by two interacting gripping arms and is fixed to the conveyor drum (2).
  5. Device according to Claim 3 or 4, characterized in that the guide tracks (18, 19) are each assigned a roller (30, 31) of the double roller lever (20).
  6. Device according to Claim 5, characterized in that the double roller lever (20) is mounted on the conveyor drum (2) between the rollers (30, 31).
  7. Device according to Claim 5 or 6, characterized in that the double roller lever (20) is angled over between the rollers (30, 31) and is mounted on the conveyor drum (2) in the angled-over region.
  8. Device according to Claim 6 or 7, characterized in that the rollers (30, 31) are preferably equally far away from the pivot axis (14) of the double roller lever (20).
  9. Device according to one of Claims 2 to 8, characterized in that the rollers (30, 31) are mounted on the double roller lever (20) so as to be offset in accordance with the distance between the guide tracks (18, 19) provided along the axis of rotation (3).
  10. Device according to one of Claims 5 to 9, characterized in that the guide tracks (18, 19) have an outer first track section (37, 38) which is assigned to the closed gripping device (11) and is further away, and an inner first track section (37, 38) which is concentric with the axis of rotation (3), and in that, in order to open and close the gripping device (11), the guide tracks (18, 19) adjacent to the end regions of the first track sections (37, 38) cross in such a way that the guide track (18) of the outer first track section (37) on the opposite side of the axis of rotation (3) is closer opposite the latter than the guide track (19) of the inner first track section (38).
  11. Device according to Claim 10, characterized in that the track sections (37, 38) assigned to the closed gripping device (11) form an obtuse-angled circular sector around the axis of rotation (3) of the conveyor drum (2).
  12. Device according to Claims 10 and 11, characterized in that the guide tracks (18, 19) of the rollers (30, 31) are groove-like.
  13. Device according to one of Claims 1 to 12, characterized in that a gripping anvil (13) interacting with the movable gripping arm (12) and belonging to the gripping device (11) can be moved approximately radially with respect to the axis of rotation (3) of the conveyor drum (2), counter to a spring force.
  14. Device according to Claim 13, characterized in that the gripping anvil (13) forms the movable end of a lever mounted on the pivot axis (14) of the gripping arm (12).
  15. Device according to either of Claims 13 and 14, characterized in that the outer reciprocating end position of the gripping anvil (13) is determined by a stop (27) on the conveyor drum (2).
  16. Device according to Claim 15, characterized in that the reciprocating end position of the anvil gripper (13) corresponds approximately to the flight path on the circumference of the conveyor drum (2).
  17. Device according to one of Claims 1 to 16, characterized in that the gripping arm (12) angled over towards the axis of rotation (3) of the conveyor drum (2) at the free end is fixed to the double roller lever (20) such that it can be detached and/or such that it can be adjusted with respect to the closed position of the gripping device (11).
