Abstract

The steel reinforced concrete sleeper (1) for a railway or tram track has a concreted support slab (12). This slab comprises two lateral blocks (2,3) connected by a metal brace (4). A rail (7,8) is fixed on each block by rail fixing fasteners (14). The thickness of the blocks under the rail support is reduced and the brace has in its central part a bend (16) enabling the forming of a rainwater drainage conduit (11) in the support slab approximately along the track axis.

Description

The subject of the present invention is a railway track, particularly in the area urban, comprising at least one cross member incorporated into a concrete support slab of the "biblock" type essentially comprising two lateral blocks connected by a metal spacer, a rail being fixed on each block by fastening fixings of rail.

Currently, there are two main techniques for the construction of railways in urban areas:
  • the first consists in making tracks without a crosspiece with anchoring the rail fasteners directly in the track support slab, the rails being pre-positioned using mannequins before the casting of the support slab. This technique is cumbersome to implement and of a high cost because it requires a large workforce. In addition, it only allows slow installation rates and does not allow the use of an efficient damping device.
  • the second uses conventional pre-positioned sleepers before pouring the concrete slab which supports the entire track. These sleepers have, in particular at the support area of the rail, a significant thickness resulting in a high cost for the realization of the tracks. In addition, these sleepers do not have a device to link the sleepers to the support slab.

The object of the invention is to overcome the drawbacks of the sleepers of the art as described for example in documents FR 1 387179 A and EP 0 465 390 A, these sleepers must remain thin at the level of the blocks while allowing drainage of runoff water.

In accordance with the invention, a railway track is proposed for this purpose. especially in urban areas, comprising at least one incorporated cross member a concrete block of the biblock type comprising two blocks side connected by a metal spacer, a rail being fixed on each block by rail fastening fixings, characterized in that the thickness of the blocks under the rail support is reduced compared to that of the zones adjacent to the block, and in that the spacer comprises in the central part a bending allowing the realization in the support slab, substantially along the axis of the track and above said central part, of a drainage runoff communicating with the upper face of the slab.

The invention will be better understood with the aid of the following description made with reference to the appended drawings in which:
  • FIG. 1 is a view in cross section with respect to the axis of the track,
  • Figure 2 is a top view of a cross member.

A cross-piece (1) of the biblock type is in the form of reinforced concrete side blocks (2,3) interconnected by a spacer (4) whose lateral parts (4a, 4b) are taken in the concrete body of each block (2,3). The spacer thus gives the cross member a rigidity facilitating the phases of handling and installation of said crosspiece.

The blocks are sealed in a support slab (12).

The bearing area (5,6) of the rail (7,8) of each block (2,3) has in accordance with the invention a thickness reduced, for example by a thickness about 120 mm.

In addition, in the embodiment shown, the spacer (4) has in its central section a bending (16) downwards allowing, despite the reduced size of the cross member, to be drainage pipe (11) for runoff water at the level of the support slab (12) substantially along the axis (13) of the track.

Advantageously, each block (2,3) has in the lower part a steel frame (9,10) embedded in the concrete body of said block, said reinforcement extending outside and laterally at each block. These frames (9,10) "outgoing" in the lower part of each blocjetjet allow a connection between the cross member and the support slab.

The rails (7,8) are fixed to the blocks (2,3) at the support zones by via traditional rail fasteners (14), for example type STEDEF (NABLA, AP or RN) or PANDROL type (FASCLIP) or VOSSLOH.

La traverse (1) comporte en outre un système de réglage d'altitude de voie avant coulage (non représenté).The crosspiece (1) further comprises an adjustment system track altitude before casting (not shown).

Avantageusement, les fixations d'attache de rail (14) et le système de réglage d'altitude sont protégés par un capot de protection d'attache (non représenté).Advantageously, the rail attachment fasteners (14) and the adjustment system are protected by an attachment protective cover (not shown).
