Claims (8)

  1. Assistance device for the actuation of a lever (1; 21) pivoting about a fixed axis, known as an axis of pivoting (2; 22), under the action of a manoeuvring force exerted by the user, between a rest position (1a; 21a) and an active position (1b; 21b) so as to transmit, by an intermediary means (3; 23), in particular a cable (3; 23) sliding within a sheath (4; 24), in which one of the ends of the cable (3a; 23a) is connected to the lever (1; 21) and the other end is connected to at least one mechanical body, a force to control said body, characterised in that the device is constituted by a profile (10) integral with the lever (1; 21) and delimited by an angular sector (∝; ∝') centred on the axis (2; 22), which co-operates with a rolling means (11) capable of being displaced in a direction (X-X'; Y-Y') substantially perpendicular to the axis (2; 22) under the action of an elastic means (12), when the lever is actuated, thus exerting a thrust on said lever making it possible to obtain a force (F') additional to the manoeuvring force (F) over the entire pivoting movement of the lever (1; 21).
  2. Device according to Claim 1, characterised in that the profile (10) is produced by the section of a cam (13).
  3. Device according to Claim 2, characterised in that the cam (13) has a profile (10) with variable radii.
  4. Device according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the rolling means (11) is constituted by a roller (14) that is arranged in a fork joint (15) constituted by two parallel branches (15a and 15b) integral with a guide stud (16) and is fixed to the latter by the intermediary of an axis (17), parallel to the axis of pivoting (2; 22), that passes right through the roller (14) and the branches (15a and 15b) of the fork joint (15).
  5. Device according to Claim 4, characterised in that the rolling means (11) integral with the guide stud (16) is guided in a direction substantially perpendicular to the axis of pivoting (2; 22) via the axis (17), which is engaged in slots (7a, 8a; 27) made longitudinally in side walls parallel to the branches (15, 15b) of the fork joint (15).
  6. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the elastic means (12) is constituted by a spiral spring that is compressed allowing the rolling means (11) to exert a permanent contact with the profile (10).
  7. Hand brake for a motor vehicle, characterised in that it comprises an assistance device in accordance with Claims 1 to 4.
  8. Control pedal for a clutch or for braking bodies characterised in that it comprises an assistance device in accordance with Claims 1 to 6.
