Description
The invention relates to a ventilation device for the crankcase of an internal combustion engine, especially for a single cylinder diesel engine, with a vent valve.
Such venting devices are from the state already known in the art, the ventilation of the Crankcase usually via a line in the Intake tract takes place. It is a quite environmentally friendly solution because the oil which is released when venting, immediately in the combustion chamber is burned. The disadvantage is that Motors with a large inclined position, e.g. for ship engines or overturned engines there is a risk that the oil gets into the combustion chamber and the engine with it "goes through" and becomes excessive due to excessive Speed destroyed itself.
The present invention is therefore based on the object to create a ventilation device even with an inclined position or overturned Internal combustion engine effectively penetrates the oil in the venting device prevents the combustion chamber.
Diese Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß durch eine
Vorrichtung mit den Merkmalen des Anspruchs 1 gelöst. This object is achieved by a
Device with the features of
The invention is characterized in that in Direction of flow behind the vent valve Channel is provided for the gas-oil mixture, which in An oil separator ends up being behind the oil separator a connection to the environment is provided for the gas is.
By diverting the flammable gas mixture to the Atmosphere, the crankcase becomes effective deaerated and a supply of the ignitable mixture avoided in the combustion chamber.
It also sees an advantageous embodiment the present invention that the liquid area of the oil separator to drain the oil with is connected to a separator. This separator is a small chamber in which the oil is collected.
It is also advantageous that a connection of the Separators with the suction side of the oil pump for recycling of the oil is provided in the crankcase. This occurs when the crankcase is vented almost no oil loss due to the oil in the oil separator separated and the crankcase oil circuit again is fed. The gaseous components escape, as already described, into the atmosphere.
Another advantageous embodiment of the present Invention is characterized in that the Connection of the separator to the suction side of the Oil pump a channel is provided, the cross section is smaller than that of the channel for the gas-air mixture. Through the connection with the suction side The oil pump is guaranteed constant suction a safe return regardless of the motor position the oil into the crankcase. By the small pipe cross-section becomes more advantageous Way ensured that especially oil from the Separator is sucked in. The one sucked in anyway Residual air is harmless to the system.
Another advantageous embodiment of the present Invention provides that the oil separator gas-permeable suction pad for absorbing the oil having. This will make it surprisingly easier Way ensures a safe separation of gas and oil. The suction pad absorbs the oil immediately, which prevents the oil from splashing off. In addition, the suction pad fulfills the function of a Dust filter, i.e. Impurities are partly recorded, partly deposited on the surface. In addition, by replacing the suction pad simple and inexpensive maintenance is guaranteed.
It is also advantageous that the connection of the Separators with the suction side of the oil pump one lockable opening for refilling the oil during of operation. This can e.g. beneficial for refilling oil during the operation of a Ship diesel engine, because here at long Long journeys no engine shutdown required is.
It also sees an advantageous embodiment the present invention that the oil separator through a vertical tube with an oblique opening is formed. This creates a large outflow cross-section given for the gas mixture in the oil separator, what a proper function of the oil separator guaranteed.
It is also advantageous that the vertical tube is surrounded by a concentric mantle that its upper end with an opening to the environment is provided. This construction leaves a simple one and inexpensive to manufacture.
A particularly advantageous embodiment provides before that the vertical pipe at the end of the oblique Opening forms a tip that is made of felt formed suction pad is pierceable. For one thing this ensures a safe suction of the on the inner tube wall oil running along additionally through utilization the capillary forces ensured and to others, the use of felt ensures that the vertical tube easily into the suction pad is stabbed. The use of Felt as a suction pad a simple and inexpensive Solution.
Finally, see an even more advantageous embodiment before that the connecting lines outside the Motor housing are arranged. This will make one ensures cool cable routing, thereby a Coking of the cable cross-sections is prevented, i.e. the line remains free.
