Description

The invention relates to a method for the production of printed products by inserting partial products and / or supplements into a main product, which is fed at regular intervals, transverse to the conveying direction pockets at the beginning of a production path formed by investors falzvoran and then to a projecting Gripping edge is detected and opened for feeding with partial products and / or supplements.

Method of the type mentioned are carried out by inserting machines. Such are described and illustrated for example in DE-C2-27 06 353, EP-B1-0 336 062 and EP-A2-0 475 192.
These known inserting machines produce about 40,000 copies of a printed product in one hour, for example a newspaper, which usually consists of a current outer part or a main product and one or more partial products and / or supplements inserted in the main product, the partial products Also referred to as precursors and are usually available for processing before the main product.

To achieve a significantly higher production output, a corresponding increase in the speed of the processing components involved would be an obvious solution.

However, this measure proves to be inadequate, because the available plug-in system and the automatic feeder feed and the sampling systems with a capacity of over 50,000 copies respectively. Printed products per hour does not guarantee a reliable production.

Die Einrichtung gestattet aufgrund der vorgeschlagenen Vorgehensweise und konstruktiven Mittel die Herstellung von jeweils einem Druckerzeugnis in jeder mechanisch schliess- und öffenbaren Tasche.US-A-3'988'016 discloses a prior art device for producing printed products by which partial products are supplied to a main product opened in a bag. The device allows due to the proposed approach and design means the production of a printed product in each mechanically closed and openable bag.

In a genus-like device according to WO-A-87 07881, the legs of the main product are applied by means of vacuum to the pocket inner walls when opening the peripheral pockets.

Thus, the object of the invention to design a method for the production of printed products, with which under unrestricted reliability with the Einstecksystem described above, a significantly greater production capacity can be achieved.

According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the pockets are fed to a further main product which can be fed to produce a printed product consisting of partial products and / or inserts, on a section A "of the production path adjoining a section A '. The invention makes use of the production of several printed products in a bag to achieve a higher production capacity.

By the method according to the invention can be produced with the proven insertion two identical printed products of 40'000 copies, or two different printed products of 40'000 copies or a printed product of 40'000 copies, in the first two cases to double the feeder capacity will be.

In order to use the existing operating system extensively and to be able to supplement it with simple measures, the printed product previously made in the pocket is held or retained on the trailing pocket wall in order to feed the other main product.

Then, advantageously, the other main product between the existing printed product and the leading pocket wall can be opened for loading.

For this purpose, a device for the insertion-wise production of consisting of an outer main product and at least one inner sub-product and / or supplement printed matter proves to be practical, the one along a production path formed by feeder conveyor from a plurality at regular intervals following, arranged transversely to the conveying direction Bags for receiving the products and / or supplements, wherein the pockets are provided with means for opening the main product standing on the fold, and is characterized in that the pockets by at least the edge region of the open edge of a finished printed product to a pocket wall forming holding device is formed.

1 shows a manner of arrangement of a device 1 or a plug-in machine intended for the production of printed products 2, 2 'and an association of symbolic information about the production status of the printed products 2, 2' on the production path A, which consists of two sections A 'for one first 2 and A '' for the second printed product 2 'consists. The production path A is formed by an endless pulling element 3, which consists of two parallel chains, between which a plurality of pockets 4 for receiving main product 5 and partial products 6 as well as inserts 7 are arranged at regular intervals in the conveying direction F. Main products 5 are known inter alia in newspapers as an external current part, while sub-products 6 -also called precursors-are inserted into a main product 5 during the production of a printed product 2, 2 '. The to train twin wheels 8, 9 about horizontal axes rotating traction member 3 and its upper run and the pockets 4 of a conveyor 10 forming production path A, along which a plurality of investors 11, 12, 13 are arranged at intervals. In FIGS. 1 and 2, a respective arrangement of the device 1 according to the invention is selected, with which two identical printed products 2, 2 'are produced in a pocket 4 on the sections A' and A '' of the production path A, wherein the Conveyor 10 has at least the length of the production path A. Above the device 1, a toolbar 14 shows the current state of a printed product 2, 2 'in production in a pocket 4.
Production begins on the left side of the device 1 illustrated in FIGS. 1 and 5 by feeding the main product 5 (according to the arrow) by means of the main product feeder 11 into a pocket 4 of the conveying device 10 which has arrived on the chain twin wheel 8 Main product 5 is displaced by a known in Fig. 3 known Anstellers 33 rotational movement to the front in the conveying direction F pocket wall 16 so that -as shown in Fig. 2 of the dash-dotted rest position deflected gripper 17, the gripping edge 15 of the front part 35 of the main product 2 offset against the angled upper edge of the front pocket wall 16 and holds there, whereupon the trailing portion 36 of the main product 5 at the latest on the horizontal conveyor path to the rear pocket wall 18 will create, resulting in the main product for receiving partial products. 6 and / or supplements 7 opens. The toolbar 14 refers to the main product 5 opened in the pocket 4.
For loading of the main product 5, the bag 4 is moved to the position shown in Fig. 2, ie, the trailing or rear bag wall 18 assumes a stronger inclination than the front one. The bag 4 now passes with the upwardly opened main product 2, the investors 12 and 13 and is of these with a partial product 6 and a supplement 7 - for example, in this order - fed, as taught by the toolbar 14 above the investors 12 and 13. Sub-product 6 and supplement 7 are then applied to the trailing pocket wall 18, wherein the products are now brought together to form a complete printed product 2.
The gripper is immediately released by means of control link (not visible) from the gripping edge 15, so that the affected part of the front part 35 of the main product 5 due to its inclination to the last entered insert 7 applies. The complete printed product 2 is then held by a fixed to the upper end of the trailing pocket wall 18 holding device 19 on the pocket wall 18, such that the finished printed product 2 can not open. For this purpose, a holder 20, which is located from the beginning between the rear pocket wall 18 and the adjoining part of the main product 5, briefly up and back, so now the complete printed product 2 held by the preceding holder 20 on the rear bag wall 18 is.
The bow-shaped holder 20 of the holding device 19 thus holds the printed product 2 in the proximity region of the open side with the force of a spring 21 together. The action of the holder 20 is triggered by a rocker arm 22, which can be displaced via a dead center and rests on a control cam (not shown). The rocker arm 22 is connected to a shaft 23 which is mounted in a support 24 fixed to the rear pocket wall 18. On the shaft 23 with respect to a pivot angle of the rocker arm 22 adjustable toothed segment 25 is fixed, which engages the translation of the pivoting movement in a connected to the pivot shaft 26 of the holder 20 pinion 27. The pivot angle of the rocker arm 22 is shown in Fig. 2. The fastening of the spring 21, on the one hand on the stationary support 24 and on the other hand on a pin 28 fastened on the rocker arm 22, is shown in FIG. 3. Further details of the holder operation are taken from FIGS. 2 and 3.
When leaving section A 'of the production path A, the finished printed product 2 is still held by the holding device 19 on the trailing pocket wall 18; see also toolbar 14. The bag 4 remains accessible, ie, feeder 11 'sends again a main product 5' between the front pocket wall 16 and held in the pocket 4 by the holder 20 on the rear pocket wall 18 printed product 2. Thereupon the bag overcomes 4 a on the section A '' of the production path A hump-like uplifting area 34 in order to open the further main product 5 'stuck in the pocket 4 can. Supported by the pocket 4 following a short follower 33, the main product 5 'in the hump area 34, moved to the front pocket wall 16 where the adjacent front part 35 of the main product 5' is detected by the gripper 17 on the gripping edge 15 before the bag 4th is set back in the filling position shown in Fig. 2. In the filling position in which the trailing part 36 of the main product 5 'comes to rest on the previously manufactured printed product 2 and partly on the pivoted-in holder 20, the pocket 4 passes through the feeders 12' and 13 ', which are a partial product 6' and / or leave a supplement 7 '. Gripper 17 now pivots back to the rest position (shown in phantom), so that the front part 35 of the main product 5 'released and ajar by the inclination in the pocket 4 and the air resistance to the last inserted insert 7'.

Before the pocket 4 reaches the delivery 31 formed by a feed dog 32 at the end of the production path A, the holder 20 is pivoted out of the pocket 4 by the toggle-side driving of a control cam (not visible) (dot-dashed position in FIG. 2).
At the end of the production path A due to a change in the conveying direction in the pocket 4 closely juxtaposed printed products 2, 2 'are detected by the same clockwise and in the same direction driven brackets 37 of the transporter 32 together and carried away.

Moreover, two following pockets 4 are connected on the one hand by suspension devices 29, which are arranged on both sides at the upper end of the front pocket wall 16, with the tension member 3 forming chains and on the other hand by their rear pocket wall 18 with the fastening device 30.

The depth of a pocket 4 is adjustable and lockable, as shown in FIGS. 2 and 3 convey.
In FIGS. 4a to 41, attention is drawn to the production states recorded in the toolbar 14 of FIG. 4 by a larger illustration.

5 to 8 show an alternative embodiment of the device 1 for producing two printed products 2, 2 'in a pocket 4. This embodiment does not require a change of direction of the conveyor 10 for opening the second main product 5' and the formation of the holding device 19 proves to be easy. It can be carried out on the products related gentle processing.
1 to 3 in the form of a flat flap 41 which pivotable at the lower end of the pocket 4 about a horizontal axis 42 arranged transversely to the conveying direction F and with an adjustable about the horizontal axis 42, for operating on a backdrop (not shown) accumulating control lever 43 is connected (see Figs. 5 and 6).
FIG. 5 illustrates the alternative device 1 and a toolbar 14 arranged above it and representing the current production status.
At the time of feeding the main product 5 by investors 11, the flap 41 is by a tension spring 21, which is attached on the one hand to the rear pocket wall 18 and the control lever 43, on the front pocket wall 16 (shown in phantom in Fig. 6). On the way to the Kettenzwillingsrad 8, the bag 4 tilts in the conveying direction F, so that the main product 5 tilts with the aid of a Anstellers 33 to the flap located on the front wall 16 flap 41, where in the next step by the gripper 17 on the gripping edge 15 at the angled upper edge of the front pocket wall 16 is clamped. Thereafter, the bag 4 moves into the intended for filling with partial products 6 and / or supplements 7 position (see toolbar 14 above feeder 12), on the way there falls the rear, shorter part 36 of the main product 5 by the change in position of the bag 4 and the air resistance to the trailing pocket wall 18 back. When passing through the supplement feeder 13, the opened main product is delivered a supplement 7 to be applied to the partial product 6 already present therein. Now open gripper 17 and the front part 35 of the main product 5 is held by the above-mentioned, acting on the control lever 43 backdrop of the deflected against the force of the spring 21 flap 41 to the last supplied supplement 7, resulting in between the flap 41 and the front pocket wall 16 opens a space for the further main product 5 '. Fig. 5 indicates this situation, which is noted in the toolbar 14 above the feeder 11 '.
By means of feeders 11 ', the open bag 4 is supplied with the further main product 5' (FIG. 8f), which will rest against the flap 41. The gripping edge 15 'is gripped by gripper 17 by a pivoting movement of the flap 41 against the front pocket wall 35, so that immediately afterwards the gripping edge 15' can be moved by the gripper 17 against the angled upper area of the front pocket wall 16 (FIG. 8g). , The flap 41 is now returned by means of control lever 43 to the previously produced printed product 2, which also follows the rear part 36 'of the main product 5'. The main product 5 'is now open for charging with partial products 6' and / or supplements 7 ', as is the case above the feeders 12' and 13 'in FIG Toolbar 14 and Fig. 8h and Fig. 8i can be seen. At the end of the production path A, the printed products 2, 2 '(FIG. 8j) located in a pocket 4 are jointly excavated by a bracket 37 of the conveyor 31 and conveyed further (FIG. 8k).
5 and 6, the embodiment of the individual pockets 4 with a flap 41 is shown in more detail. The flap 41 has according to FIG. 7 in the detection range of the printed products 2, 2 'by the brackets 37 of the conveyor 31, a lower height than in the effective range of the gripper 17, of which the main product 2, 2' respectively on the gripping edge 15, 15 'clamped becomes. The narrow space conditions have led to a special geometric shape of the flap 41, wherein the lower, transversely extending effective range is formed tongue-shaped and opens into a connected to the control lever 43 boom 44. The control lever 43 in turn, has an adjusting ring, which allows to adjust the position of the flap 41 within the pocket 4.
