Claims (2)

  1. A multi-function operating device comprising an axially movable switch element (1) which is mounted so as to pivot and can be rotated bi-directionally about its axis, for selecting a menu or a plurality of menus and/or one of a plurality of functions of a menu and/or a desired function value for a function, the pivoting movement of the switch element (1) being limited by mechanical stops (12), characterised in that the stops (12) with the aid of a cam wheel can be adjusted in their working position, and the working position can be varied according to the menu function and/or function value which has been adjusted.
  2. A device according to claim 1, characterised in that the switch element can be pivoted in two planes which are perpendicular to one another.
