    Claims (6)

    1. Knife (10) with a substantially hollow haft body (11), with a knife blade (16) which is guided in the said haft body so as to be longitudinally movable in a knife-blade guide channel (15) by means of a slide (17) and is kinetically connected to the said slide (17), wherein the haft body (11) has a front haft-body region (33) which is adjacent to an exit aperture (36) for the knife blade (16) and is adjoined, for the purpose of achieving a right-angled cutting position of the knife (10) in relation to the material to be cut (SG), by a region (34) of the haft body (11) which is to be clasped by the fingers and has a shape which is adapted to the fist of an actuating hand, wherein the slide (17) has at least one operating component (18) for the said slide (17), which component is to be actuated by the thumb of the actuating hand, and wherein the said operating component (18) is disposed so as to be averted from the exit aperture (36) and outside the region (34) which is to be clasped by the fingers, characterised in that the haft body (11) has, adjoining the front haft-body region (33), a middle haft-body region (34) and a rear haft-body region (35), that the knife-blade guide channel (15) which extends along the direction of displacement (x) of the slide (17) is also present in the middle haft-body region (34) and in the rear haft-body region (35), and that the middle haft-body region forms the region (34) to be clasped by the fingers and the rear haft-body region (35) forms a prolonging component (14) in which the operating component (18) to be actuated by the thumb is guided.
    2. Knife according to claim 1, characterised in that the prolonging component (14) is constructed as a component which encloses a slot (19).
    3. Knife according to claim 1 or claim 2, characterised in that an operating component (18) which is to be actuated by the thumb is present, in each case, on either side of the prolonging component (14).
    4. Knife according to claim 3, characterised in that the operating component (18) is mounted on the slide (17) and has actuating faces protruding out of the prolonging component on either side.
    5. Knife according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the operating component (18), which is kinetically connected to the slide (17), can be jammed, at least in the cutting position.
    6. Knife according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the operating component (18) is mounted in an eccentrically rotatable manner on the slide (17) and can be jammed, at least in the cutting position.
