Definitions
- the invention relates to a device for collecting animal droppings.
- the invention relates to a device for disposable animal waste collection, easy to transport and to store, easy and quick to use, inexpensive, ecologically acceptable, easy to use with one hand, efficient, having good insulation from faeces, with sufficient comfort not to injure the hand which manipulate.
- document FR-A-2 699 568 presents two systems one of which is very far from the device of the invention presented here: no compact position, to be mounted by the user, fragile, not airtight, contradictory and not handy, unsightly.
- the other embodiment presents a device also very far from the device of the invention presented here: no really compact position, no storable, non-transportable, ineffective during use, unmanageable and contradictory, unsightly, not airtight.
- US-A-4,747,633 discloses a disposable animal excrement device made up of two panels with handles, bottom and edges substantially triangular.
- the two panels are connected by a single fold line, no thickness take-up strip while in this device, when it is folded for a less bulk, it has no less than 10 thicknesses at the base, the risks of deformation are all the more important and damaging in the event of storage or even presentation of multiple devices.
- handles are attached to these panels by bonding which implies that this device is not strictly monobloc, it is not produced in a single sheet of cardboard since we add handles by gluing where a lack of robustness of the device and a higher manufacturing cost.
- this device also does not provide for any system to make rigid, the box thus unfolded, the lines of folding, provided on the lateral edges 149 and 150 of FIG. 1, thus become lines of weakness, the device is then ineffective during the collection phase where pressure is exerted top to bottom, the device collapses: no volume, no box re-entrant, no working closure system.
- the notches and closing tabs are located on the backgrounds 120 and 220 of FIG. 1, these are parts lying around on the ground during the pickup phase, so they risk to deteriorate during the pickup phase and secondly when the fecal matter has been collected, it rests on the bottom of the box and risk of spreading since the bottom of the box pierced by the notches is no longer airtight.
- the device US-A-4,747,633 presents 4 major faults: added handles which weaken the device and increase its cost, no efficient storage since nothing is provided for the storage position, and above all, this is a really ineffective device since no blocking has been provided for the side walls which have been folded and which are unfolded in the pick-up position, finally no position really compact, to finish the device provides a problematic closure system (when the pickup has been completed).
- Document FR-A-2 599 957 discloses a disposable box intended for the collection of animal manure which is complex to assemble and whose side edges are generally rectangular in mounted position. This is prior art distant from the invention whose manufacturing cost is rhédibitoire. It is a box to assemble and not presented foldable and compact for the user. We note that the two main parts of this device are articulated along two substantially parallel axes, but this is not used to avoid deformation of the main surfaces of this device because there are no plans to store or transport the latter in the folded position along these two axes (no position compact planned).
- Document DE-U-77 02 215 discloses a box comprising a tongue. This tongue is central and not lateral. Any of the technical characteristics of the invention presented cannot be found in this device.
- Document DE-U-88 03 914 is rightly cited as representative of the technological background insofar as the two parts which constitute it pivot around an axis unique and where it does not include a handle.
- Sheet 1 shown in Figure 1 is made by cutting a semi-rigid material, such as a cardboard plate, polypropylene, polyurethane or polyvinyl chloride (PVC). Cardboard is particularly suitable because it gives the sheet 1 a biodegradable character.
- sheet 1 is corrugated micro-corrugated or minimo-corrugated, which gives the device sufficient rigidity to its good operation.
- Sheet 1 includes 2 fold lines, respectively 2 and 3 separated by a strip 4 and defining two halves 5 and 6 of sheet 1 of substantially equivalent areas.
- the half 5 comprises a substantially rectangular flat face 7, on which are articulated, by virtue of two fold lines 8 and 9, two extensions of substantially triangular shape 10 and 11.
- the fold lines 8 and 9 are perpendicular to the fold line 2.
- a fold line 12, parallel to the fold line 2 marks the separation between the surface 7 and a strip 13 separated from two generally trapezoidal flaps 14 and 15 by two fold lines 16 and 17.
- the surface 7 is provided two notches 7a and 7b near the fold lines 8 and 9 while the flaps 14 and 15 each carry a tongue, respectively 4a and 15a, the dimensions of which allow them to penetrate respectively into the notches 7a and 7b.
- the flaps 14 and 15 respectively carry a notch 14b and 15b, the function of which is explained below.
- the second half 6 of sheet 1 essentially comprises a rectangular surface 20 in the central zone of which is pre-cut a handle: this is included in the drawing the surface 20 until it is not extracted therefrom, This handle perhaps advantageously cut notched to avoid any edge sharp which could injure the user's hand when fingers running under the handle.
- Two flaps 23 and 24 are integral with the surface 20 and separated from it respectively by 2 fold lines 25 and 26.
- Tabs 20a and 20b are formed on the lateral edges of the surface 20 near its edge 20c furthest from the fold line 3, these tongues 20a and 20b are capable of penetrating respectively into the notches 14b and 15b on the inside of the flaps 14 and 15.
- An extension 30 is integral with the surface 20 and separated from this by a pre-cut line 22. This extension 30 is glued by its internal face to the external face of the bottom 13 at most near line 12 and is integral with surface 20, as long as it is not separate from it.
- the flaps 23 and 24 are folded inwards along fold lines 25 and 26 and glued to the inside from surface 20.
- the flaps 14 and 15 are folded towards the interior on the internal face of the strip 13 along the lines of folding 16 and 17; extensions 27 and 28 are folded respectively on the external faces of surfaces 10 and 11 according to the fold lines 10b and llb, and these parts 10 and it (thus folded) are then folded inwards on the surface 7, along fold lines 8 and 9; strip 13 (with flaps 14 and already folded) is then pivoted inwards according to the fold line 12, so that the outer faces of the flaps 14 and 15 can be glued to the internal faces of the extensions 27 and 28.
- the device for collecting animal faeces in accordance with the invention is then in a compact position, easy to carry in a bag or in a pocket, the handle 21 and the strip 30 being obtained by cutting the surface 20, these two elements do not protrude from this surface, which gives the device a compact and smooth character, the width of the strip 4 located between fold lines 2 and 3 allows surfaces 7 and 20 to be substantially parallel despite the thickness of the extensions 10 and 11, flaps 14 and 15, band 13 and extensions 27, 28, which are superimposed near the edge of folding 12, the device then appears completely closed and monobloc, without roughness, allowing to present only one face of sheet 1, without rejuvenation of any kind and in a reduced volume.
- half 5 of the sheet 1 forms a box 50, provided with a bottom formed by the surface 7, of two substantially triangular side edges formed by extensions 10 and 11 and a lower edge consisting of the strip 13.
- One side of the triangle constituted by the extension 10 is formed by fold line 8, a second side is practically superimposed with fold line 16 and the third side constitutes a free edge of the box 50.
- the end 10a of the edge 10 furthest from the bottom edge 13 is near the fold line 2. The same is true for the end 11a of the edge 11.
- half 6 sheet 1 forms the cover 60 of the box 50 and that cover is hinged on this box along the two axes formed by fold lines 2 and 3, and that strip 4 is parallel to the strip 13 forming the lower edge of the box 50.
- the lateral edges 10 and 11 have a geometry which is not exactly triangular, because their end 10a or 11a furthest from the lower edge 13 is truncated to present a width substantially equivalent to band 4, which makes it possible to obtain complementary shapes in the upper part of the device, in order to make it airtight in the position shown in Figures 4, 5, 6.
- the notches 7a and 7b are formed by cutting out of three sides in sheet 1. So when the side edges 10 and 11 are substantially perpendicular to the bottom 7, the tongue 14a fills the notch 7a in the position of figures 4 and 6.
- the edge 13a of the strip 13 furthest from the fold line 12 constitutes an outer edge of the lower edge of the box 50, this edge 13a can be cut notched.
- the user engages the end of his index finger under the handle closest to the edge 2, moving this handle away from the surface 20, causing a pivoting of the handle 21 about an imaginary axis XX 'passing by the areas of connection of the handle 21 to the rest of the cover 60.
- the space thus formed between the handle 21 and the cover 60 allows the user to insert the end of his index and middle fingers for example, the opposing thumb pressing on the bottom 7.
- the flaps 23 and 24 make it possible to isolate efficiently inside the device compared to the outside, in particular, with respect to the area in which the user insert the ends of his fingers.
- the entire device and its contents can then be discarded in a trash can.
- the device of the invention can be declined in several usable sizes depending on the size and weight of the animal.
