Abstract

PCT No. PCT/DE97/00165 Sec. 371 Date Jul. 21, 1998 Sec. 102(e) Date Jul. 21, 1998 PCT Filed Jan. 23, 1997 PCT Pub. No. WO97/27063 PCT Pub. Date Jul. 31, 1997The description relates to a process for producing a multi-layer correcting and/or marking material. In said process, a film is applied to a substrate which can be released therefrom and in particular contains a dye and/or pigment. A further layer containing an adhesive is then applied over the film thus obtained. The removable film is applied in the form of an aqueous suspension containing a brittle and a film-forming binder. The process makes it possible to dispense with organic solvents. A correcting or marking agent thus produced exhibits good tear-off properties.

Description

The invention relates to a multilayer correction material on a siliconized carrier film, which without the Use of organic solvents or suspending agents is producible and a method for its production and its use.

It is known spelling or typing errors or incorrect ones possible representations with pigmented liquid systems to cover and, if necessary, new after drying to describe or paint. However, these systems have the disadvantage that they are often a volatile organic Have solvents that evaporate leads to environmental pollution. When using watery Systems are avoided while doing so however, an extended drying time must be accepted become.

For this reason, there are multilayer transmission bands have been developed in which a lying on a support pigmented top layer with a pressure sensitive adhesive layer is covered. This will make the multilayer correction material with its pressure sensitive adhesive layer over the one to be corrected or place to be covered and pressure on the exercised overhead straps. This will make the PSA layer pressed onto the paper and sticks to it. The cover layer detaches from the carrier, which is usually is designed as a film, so that it is now on the desired paper spot sticks and the underlying one Lettering covers. DE-B-3 741 022 describes a multilayer flexible transfer belt with one Carrier film, the tearing behavior of the cover layer improved by the addition of cellulose derivatives, so that the cover layer bound to the plastic carrier tears off sharply when applied. In the preparation of of this correction band, however, become organic Solvents and dispersants such as isopropyl alcohol and Toluene used.

Dabei wird auf die getrocknete Abdeckschicht eine wässrige Overcoat-Beschichtung aufgetragen, die eine Polyethylenwachsdispersion, eine anionische Polyacrylatdispersion und gegebenenfalls einen Emulgator sowie weitere übliche Additive enthält.DE-A-4 129 413 describes the production of a multilayer correction material that without the use of organic solvents and without the use of tear-promoting cellulose derivatives are produced can. This is due to a special structure of the Cover layer forming coating agent and the vote with the overcoat coating responsible for the liability reached. It is on the dried An aqueous overcoat coating applied, which is a polyethylene wax dispersion, an anionic Polyacrylate dispersion and optionally one Contains emulsifier and other conventional additives.

The aim of the invention is now a multilayer correction material, especially in the form of a rolled up To provide tape of the type described above, the without the use of organic solvents, i.e. H. that is produced alone in aqueous solution or suspension can be. Another object of the invention is a to provide such transmission or correction means, that does not require a demolition agent as an additive. Finally, it is still an aim of the invention, on one To do without an overcoat that contains a wax dispersion.

According to the invention, the aforementioned goals are achieved with a Correction and / or marking means achieved that one removable, inscribable arranged on a carrier Film that is covered with an adhesive, characterized in that the writable film or Top layer is a film-forming, non-brittle binder and has a brittle binder at room temperature. Such binders can also be used as brittle binders are used, which initially have film-forming properties have, but together with the others Additives, especially with pigments a brittle mass forms.

According to the invention it has been shown that with a cover film designed in this way has both good tear-off properties let achieve, and that in doing so on the Use of organic solvents and waxes containing overcoats can be dispensed with.

Film-forming binders are, for example, terpolymers Dispersions based on vinyl acetate and Acrylic acid esters, such as those under the brand name Macrovil 21 2 G from Indulor Chemie GmbH, 49572 Ankum, Germany. Another one Film-forming binder to be used according to the invention are, for example, copolymers based on Acrylic acid esters using acrylonitrile as they do are available under the name Arconal 85 D.

Brittle-acting binders are, for example Acrylic polymers, especially those in ammonia, as they for example under the name Carboset 537 from B.F. Goodrich, Cleveland, Ohio, as a 35% solids dispersion are distributed in ammoniacal water. Another one brittle binders are copolymers containing carboxyl groups based on acrylic acid esters, such as commercial under the brand name Acronal V 205 are available. Leave with the cover film of the invention both correction and marking agents, so-called Transliner. In the manufacture of Correction films contain pigments covering the film layer, such as titanium dioxide and fillers. At the marker or transliner is instead of one covering pigment a fluorescent dye, such as for example, aminotriazine formaldehyde cocondensates contain organic dyes.

To produce the correction and Marking agent is an aqueous suspension from a brittle and a film-forming, non-brittle binder together with a pigment and / or dye and optionally Fluorine wetting agents such as FC 170 C and defoamers, such as Acitan 281, for example, with hydrophobic Silicas, synthetic copolymers and added non-ionic emulsifiers. In particular Cases, it has proven to be useful, including pH stabilizers, such as 2-amina-2-methyl-1-propionate along with fillers and surfactants Agents and, if necessary, with thickeners to add.

Such an aqueous suspension is then applied by means of a doctor blade onto a carrier film which is preferably siliconized differently on both sides. Appropriate carrier films are known to the person skilled in the art and consist, for example, of polyester, polyethylene terephthalate, polypropylene, polyethylene or polyvinyl chloride. The marking or covering and inscribable layer containing dyes and / or pigments is expediently applied with a solids content of 30-80%, preferably 40-70%, in particular 50% by weight. The wet application rate is 15 - 70 g / m 2 . preferably 20-65 g and in particular 25-45 g / m 2 , whereby a layer thickness of 20-60 µm, in particular 35-45 µm is achieved in the wet state, which is 8-30 µm, preferably 10-25 µm thick in the dry state.

After drying the pigment-containing layer likewise by means of a doctor blade, an aqueous solution or Suspension of a coating containing acrylic adhesive applied and in the form of an adhesive, possibly additive containing mixture with water in a ratio of 3: 1 to 1: 3, in particular from 1.5: 1 to 1: 1.5 preferably in a layer thickness of 5 - 25 µm, in particular 10 - 20 µm. It is also possible to apply the glue directly, d. H. undiluted to apply.

The invention is illustrated by the following examples are explained.

Beispiel. 1Example. 1

There are 3.75 kg Acronal V205 as a brittle binder in the form of a 69% aqueous dispersion, 3.75 kg Acronal 85D as a film-forming binder in the form of a 55% aqueous dispersion, 0.44 kg AMP 90 as a pH stabilizer (2-amino-2-methyl-1-propionate with 10% water), 0.19 kg Surfynol CT 141 as a surface-active agent to improve the aqueous pigment dispersion, 0.31 kg Collacral VL as a thickener in the form of a 3% solution a vinylpyrrolidone copolymer, 0.16 kg of Forbest 150 W as a defoamer, 0.005 kg of carbon black (carbon black FW2) as a tinting agent and 18.75 kg of water mixed together with vigorous stirring. Then 31.25 kg of titanium dioxide (Kronos 2043) as a color pigment and 6.25 kg of aluminum silicate (ASP 400) (available from Langer & Co., 2863 Ritterhude-Ihlpohl, DE) are added with stirring and grinding. Finally, a fluorine wetting agent (FC170C) is added. The solids content of the starting slurry is 65%. This mass is then applied by means of a doctor blade to a polyester film coated on both sides with silicone. The silicone coatings of the polyester film are such that when the finished product is rolled up, the film-forming, inscribable cover layer (cover-up) adheres more strongly to the film than the uppermost adhesive coating on the back of the film. The applied weight of the mass was 40 g / m 2 in the wet state and after drying 25-27 g / m 2 , which corresponds to a layer thickness of 40 μm in the wet state and 20 μm in the dry state.

After drying it was also using a squeegee one previously made in a 1: 1 ratio ACR 85D adhesive coating in water with a layer thickness of 15 µm applied.
