  • a resilient locking pin is accommodated in the rotary flange 5, which engages in a hole in the rosette 2 in the locked position. If it should ever be necessary to remove the lock, the fitter must drill the door leaf from the inside using a drilling jig and push the locking pin away. Since the door leaves can be packed and transported without bulky superstructures, transport costs, transport damage and complaints are reduced.
  • the innovative closure has only four basic components that can be put together depending on the application. Only a few different adapters are sufficient to adapt to different door thicknesses. For lighter doors you will prefer to choose the latch solution, while for heavy doors the sash is cheaper. In the case of particularly large and heavy doors, two-point or three-point locking can be created with minimal effort using baskets.

Abstract

A rosette (2) is inserted from outside into the cylindrical hole in a door-leaf (1) and as a ring holding the stop-bolt (4) of a bayonet fastening. The rotary flange (5) of the outer lock part has bayonet slits fixing it in position. The inner lock part carries a bolt or catch (16) and is connected by coupling pins (18,19) to the outer lock part. The rotary flange has a sprung locking pin fitting into a hole in the rosette after the bayonet fastening has locked and preventing the outer lock part from detaching. The inner lock part's catch is released by an emergency release knob (17) with shaft and sloping control surface.

Description

Technisches GebietTechnical field

The invention relates to a door lock for doors of different wall thicknesses, in particular cold room doors, with an outer lock housing that has a handle and carries a security lock, and an inner lock part, the locking elements and has an emergency opening device, cf. e.g. U.S. 5,490,699.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

In the closures of this type known to date, it is customary for the inner and outer Insert lock parts into the openings of the door leaf and both parts from the inside and screwed together on the outside. Because of the not so easy operations for the assembly, the adjustment and the function test it is common to complete the closure to be installed in the door manufacturer's factory and to deliver the finished unit. In this Condition, a large packaging volume is required to counter all parts Secure transport damage.

Darstellung der ErfindungPresentation of the invention

The invention has for its object to provide a door lock that can be assembled in a few easy steps on site.
Furthermore, it is an object of the invention to combine different latch and emergency opening systems with the outer housing carrying the handle, as required.

This object is achieved in that with a cylindrical opening provided door leaf from the outside a rosette is inserted, the ring of the locking bolt one Bayonet lock carries that the lock housing is used for its attachment Bayonet slots and that the bolt and the door leaf screwed inner lock housing via coupling pins to the outer lock connected is.

In Fig. 1 , 1 denotes the relatively thick door leaf, which has a cylindrical opening for mounting the lock. On the outer surface 1a there is a rosette 2, the cylindrical part 2a of which protrudes into the opening in the door leaf. The rosette 2 is attached to the door leaf with screws 3. It has a plurality of locking bolts 4, which face bayonet slots on the rotary flange 5 of the lock housing. A pivotable housing part 6 is seated on the rotary flange 5 and sits on a spacer 7. The part 6 has a handle tube 8 with a spherical button 9, and also a locking cylinder 10. A leg spring 11 serves to return the handle 8, 9 to the zero position. A cap 12 covers all functional parts of the outer closure housing. A coupling 13 is screwed to an adapter 14, the length of which depends on the thickness of the door leaf 1.
A latch housing 15, from which a latch 16 emerges, is screwed to the inner surface 1b of the door leaf. An emergency release button 17 pulls the trap back when it is pressed. For the transmission of torque from the outer closure to the latch 16, two eccentric pins 18, 19 are provided, which rest in the round blank 20 and dip into the drill holes of the adapter 14. The round blank 20 takes the catch 16 with it via an eccentric pin, as will be explained later with reference to FIGS. 10, 11 .
The door lock described works as follows:
When the door is closed, there is no non-positive connection between the housing part 6 and the coupling 13. The pivoting of the outer closure housing has no effect on the coupling 13, the adapter 14, the blank 20 and the latch 16.
If the locking cylinder 10 is actuated, its locking cam engages in the clutch 13 via an auxiliary bolt. Each actuation of the handle leads to the return of the latch 16, so that the door can be opened to the outside.
So that the user recognizes from the outside whether the door is locked or not, the cap 12 has a small indicator opening next to the locking cylinder 10. The auxiliary bolt behind it is colored in such a way that a white dot appears when the lock is open and a red marking when locked.
Regardless of whether the door is closed from the outside or not, it can be opened from the inside at any time with the emergency release button 17.

Fig. 2 zeigt die Rosette 2 von der Seite. Fig. 2 shows the rosette 2 from the side. The lower half is shown in section. The outer diameter of the hollow cylindrical part 2a corresponds to the size of the hole in the door leaf. The length of the hollow cylinder is set constant regardless of the thickness of the door leaves. Only the adapters 14 are adapted to the door leaf thicknesses in stages.

In Fig. 3 the rosette 2 can be seen from. In addition to four locking bolts 4 distributed over the circumference, various holes are provided for fastening. The holes 2b, 2c can be used to align the rosette 2 precisely at an angle on a vertical auxiliary line on the door leaf before the attachment, so that the handle tube 8 is vertical after the housing has snapped into place.

FIG. 4 shows a variant of the locking and emergency release. The latch lock is replaced by a cam 21 which protrudes from a handle housing 22. A lever 23 moves a base tube 24 so that a two- or three-point locking can be realized. The parts 23 and 24 are connected by a bolt 25.

For emergency triggering, a lever 26 is pivoted clockwise until it is with broken open-drawn position has reached. The is in the closed position Sash 21 on a locking plate 27 which is screwed to the door frame 28.

5 shows a cross section through a door lock with sash 21 and emergency release lever 26. To the left of the door leaf 1, the cap 12 is shown, under which the outer lock part according to FIG. 1 is hidden. The adapter 14 transmits the torque to the pins 18, 19, which rest in the driver 29. The handle housing 22 has a bearing pin 22a, which is enclosed by a bearing bush 30. This rests in an inner flange 31 which is screwed to the inner surface 1b of the door leaf 1. The driver 29, the handle housing 22 and the handle 26 are firmly connected to one another by a countersunk screw 32 and a nut 33.
Since all parts belonging to the inner locking system are pre-assembled at the factory, the handle housing 22 is provided with holes 22a, 22b through which the inner flange 31 can be screwed to the door leaf 1.
After assembly is complete, the holes 22a, 22b are closed with plastic caps 34, 35.
In this embodiment of the door lock, the inner handle also moves when the outer handle is actuated to open it. The reverse also applies if the locking cylinder is not locked. Once the door is closed, everything remains motionless on the inside. The emergency opening from the inside is always possible regardless of the position of the locking cylinder.

Fig. 6 shows the sash 21 with the emergency release lever 26 from the side. A countersunk screw 32 with a hexagon socket is inserted into the lever.

Fig. 7 shows the locking plate 27, which has two elongated holes for adjusting and two standard holes for final fixing.

FIG. 8 is a top view of a grater 36 with a lever 37 and a base tube 38. The central disc 39 is pivotably mounted on a flange 40.
Such rubbers are required if you have to lock two or three points on very large doors so that the sealing profiles are pressed evenly. The additional liners are driven indirectly with the arrangement according to FIG. 4, that is to say actuated via the emergency release lever 26 or the outer handle.

FIG. 9 shows a cross section through the arrangement according to FIG. 8.
A bearing shell 39a and a center pin 39b with a threaded hole are formed on the center disk 39.
A bearing bush 41, preferably made of plastic, ensures wear-free sliding between the fitting parts. The parts mentioned are held together by a screw 42, the head of which rests on a washer 43.

FIG. 10 shows the partial cross section through the arrangement according to FIG. 1. The parts of the outer closure are omitted. The door leaf 1, the frame 28 and a locking plate 44 can be seen. The latch housing 45 has an inner flange 45a which fits into the door leaf opening.
The housing is screwed to the door leaf. The trap 16 is slidably mounted in the housing. A coil spring 46 holds the latch 16 in the right end position. The left end of the spring rests in an abutment 45h. A housing cover 47 covers the case and spring. A guide shaft 47a is formed on the cover, in which the shaft 48 of the emergency release button 17 is slidably mounted. The shaft carries a guide pin 49 which slides in elongated holes in the shaft 47a. The shaft 48 has an oblique control surface 48a at the bottom, which slides on a slope 16a of the latch 16.
When button 17 is actuated, latch 16 flips to the left and releases the door.
Another button 50 can be used to retrieve the trap should the other trigger fail.
When actuated from the outside, the opening is effected via the pins 18, 19, the round blank 20 and the eccentric pin 51.

11 shows the basic shape of the latch housing 45 and the latch 16. The latch is guided between the strips 45b and 45c. The molded eyes 45d, 45e, 45f, 45g are used for attachment to the door leaf. The left end of the coil spring 46 rests in an abutment 45h, which is part of the housing 45.

Fig. 12 shows a cross section through the lock with sash for an inward opening door. The structure of the closure corresponds to FIG. 5. The length of the sash 21 has been changed. It carries a screwed-on extension 52 which engages under a striker 53. This is screwed to the frame 54.

Fig. 13 shows the arrangement of FIG. 12 in plan view.

Gewerbliche VerwertbarkeitCommercial usability

The new type of door lock is suitable for all doors that should only be locked from the outside and that should allow opening from the inside at any time without special aids. These are preferably cold room doors.
The invention serves to considerably reduce the assembly costs for the door locks, because the pre-assembled basic units can be inserted and fixed on the construction site in a few simple steps.
The rosette 2 is preferably already inserted and screwed in at the factory, since this part does not survive practically and does not increase the packaging volume.
When inserting the outer lock (parts 4 - 14) into the rosette and after the bayonet lock has snapped in, it must be ensured that the parts can no longer come loose.
In order to prevent any loosening of the rotary flange 5, a resilient locking pin is accommodated in the rotary flange 5, which engages in a hole in the rosette 2 in the locked position.
If it should ever be necessary to remove the lock, the fitter must drill the door leaf from the inside using a drilling jig and push the locking pin away.
Since the door leaves can be packed and transported without bulky superstructures, transport costs, transport damage and complaints are reduced.
The innovative closure has only four basic components that can be put together depending on the application.
