Artikeln der Artikelpaare während ihrer queraxialen Transportbewegung eine Bewegungskomponente
in Querrichtung, daß heißt in Richtung ihrer Längsachsen
erteilt, durch welche sich der gegenseitige Abstand zwischen ihren einander zugekehrten
Stirnseiten verändern läßt.
Diese Anordnung läßt sich insbesondere dort effektiv einsetzen, wo zwischen zwei
Artikeln eine größere Lücke geschaffen werden soll, in die ein doppeltlanger Filterstab
eingefügt werden soll. Zu diesem Zweck weisen die Transportbänder gemäß
einer bevorzugten Ausgestaltung eine in Förderrichtung divergierende Anstellung
auf.
In Umkehrung dazu würde eine in Förderrichtung konvergierende Anstellung ein
Zusammenschieben der Artikel eines Artikelpaares ermöglichen.
Eine exakte Ausrichtung der Artikel im Zuge ihrer überlagerten queraxialen und
längsaxialen Bewegungen ist gemäß einer vorteilhaften Ausgestaltung dadurch
gewährleistet, daß die Transportbänder mit zueinander parallel verlaufenden Aufnahmemulden
versehen sind, die entlang der Transportbahn jeweils paarweise
koaxial miteinander fluchten.
Eine Anpassung auf unterschiedliche Abmessungen der die Artikelpaare bildenden
Tabak- und Filterkomponenten ist nach einer Weiterbildung dadurch gewährleistet,
daß den Transportbändern auf die Formatlänge der Artikel einstellbare bzw. die
Spreizstellung der Artikel bestimmende Steuermittel zugeordnet sind.
Derartige Steuermittel können z. B. Halteluft in den Aufnahmemulden abschaltende
Steuerkanten sein, durch die Artikelpaare nach Erreichen einer definierten Spreizstellung
an ein weiterführendes Fördermittel entlassen werden.
Eine besonders effektive und sichere Möglichkeit um eine definierte Spreizstellung
der Artikel zu erreichen, ist nach einem weiteren Vorschlag dadurch gegeben, daß
die Steuermittel als die Artikel entlang ihrer Förderbahn stirnseitig beaufschlagende,
synchron mitlaufende Stellbänder ausgebildet sind. Zweckmäßigerweise sind
diese Stellbänder an der Außenseite der Transportbänder um vertikale Achsen
parallel zur Förderrichtung der Artikel umlaufend und relativ zu den Transportbändern
seitlich verstellbar angeordnet, so daß sie ohne große Umrüstungen auf unterschiedliche
Formatlängen der Artikelkomponenten einstellbar sind.
Gemäß einer vorgeschlagenen Ausgestaltungsform der Vorrichtung sind die
Transportbänder als die Artikel liegend bzw. oberseitig transportierende Spreizbänder
