  • Routine test work by a competent technical person in the field will reveal the applicable limits.
  • variations in the dispositions of the outlets relative to the chamber end wall can be accommodated and provided.
  • the wall or target towards which the liquid supply flows can itself be modified considerably in terms of its profile being planar, generally convex or generally concave. Indeed, the target may be provided as an internal construction in the chamber providing for suitable liquid flow outwards to the chamber outlets. Routine test work will reveal the modifications which may be made in this regard.
  • Tests have been made of a liquid and air delivery system to the chamber permitting, effectively, a gravity feed to the chamber end wall or target, and thus without the controlled metering of liquid supply to that structure.

Claims (21)

  1. Appareil de pulvérisation mobile du type à poutre pour l'agriculture ou l'horticulture, comprenant :
    (a) une poutre de pulvérisation mobile (54, 56) agencée pour qu'elle puisse passer, par exemple, dans la direction longitudinale de rangées multiples de culture (62, 64) tout en se trouvant au-dessus des dites rangées multiples pendant la pulvérisation ;
    (b) la dite poutre portant des générateurs multiples de gouttelettes (66) agencés pour engendrer des gouttelettes de liquide afin d'effectuer une pulvérisation simultanée de la culture des dites rangées multiples de culture lorsque la dite poutre se trouve au-dessus des dites rangées ;
    c) les dits générateurs de gouttelettes étant agencés pour engendrer des jets pulvérisés multiples de gouttelettes (72) pouvant franchir la distance entre les dits générateurs multiples de gouttelettes (66) portés par la dite poutre et la dite culture qui se trouve au-dessous de la dite poutre lorsqu'on déplace la dite poutre au-dessus de la dite culture, et chaque générateur de gouttelettes pouvant également produire son propre jet pulvérisé divergent adapté pour effectuer une couverture de pulvérisation de sa propre partie adjacente de la dite culture d'une manière telle que la dite culture au-dessous de la dite poutre reçoive une pulvérisation appropriée ;
    (d) chaque générateur de gouttelettes (66) étant connecté (10) à un moyen de fourniture de liquide (30) prévu pour fournir un liquide à pulvériser ;
    (e) chaque générateur de gouttelettes étant connecté (10) à un moyen de fourniture de flux d'air (14) prévu pour fournir un flux d'air qui sort avec un jet pulvérisé de gouttelettes produit par l'appareil ;
    (f) chaque dit générateur de gouttelettes (66) étant ainsi connecté (10) au dit moyen de fourniture de liquide (30) et au dit moyen de fourniture de flux d'air (14), et pouvant produire un jet pulvérisé de gouttelettes de liquide ;
    (g) le dit générateur de gouttelettes (66) comprenant un dispositif d'admission d'air-et-liquide (28), auquel à la fois les dits moyens de fourniture de liquide (30) et les dits moyens de fourniture de flux d'air (14) sont raccordés, pour l'admission du dit air et du dit liquide sensiblement vers une paroi intérieure (42, 108) du dispositif ;
    (h) le dit générateur de gouttelettes comprenant en outre une structure (40) qui définit une sortie extérieure (49) du dit dispositif, et le dit moyen de fourniture de liquide (30) étant prévu pour fournir le dit liquide à la dite sortie extérieure par l'intermédiaire du dit dispositif (10) via la dite paroi intérieure du dit dispositif ;
    (i) le dit moyen de fourniture de flux d'air (14) et le dit moyen de fourniture de liquide (30) étant agencés par rapport au dit dispositif (10) pour l'admission d'air et de liquide vers la dite paroi intérieure (42, 108) afin d'engendrer le dit jet pulvérisé (72) de gouttelettes à la dite sortie extérieure (49) du dispositif, par entraínement du dit liquide dans le dit flux d'air ; et
    (j) la direction d'écoulement du liquide et de l'air à partir du dit dispositif, à travers la dite sortie extérieure (49), étant sensiblement latéralement vers l'extérieur par rapport à la direction suivant laquelle les dites admissions d'air et de liquide entrent dans le dit dispositif pour un mouvement dirigé sensiblement vers la dite paroi intérieure du dit dispositif ;
    caractérisé en ce que
    (k) le dit dispositif d'admission d'air-et-liquide est sous la forme d'une chambre (28) à une extrémité de laquelle le dit moyen de fourniture de liquide (30) est connecté, et qui est fermée à l'extrémité opposée, à laquelle se trouve la dite paroi intérieure (42, 108) ;
    (l) la dite sortie extérieure (49) est ménagée dans une paroi latérale (22) de la chambre, cette paroi s'étendant entre les dites parois d'extrémité (16, 42) de la chambre ; et
    (m) la dite sortie (49) s'ouvre vers l'intérieur dans un espace reliant la dite sortie à la dite paroi intérieure (42).
  2. Appareil (52) pour distribuer des gouttelettes de matière liquide, d'une amenée centrale de liquide (68) à un point (66) d'application du liquide, comprenant :
    (a) un moyen de fourniture de liquide (28) prévu pour fournir un liquide à pulvériser ;
    (b) un moyen de fourniture de flux d'air (28) prévu pour fournir un flux d'air qui sort avec un jet pulvérisé de gouttelettes produit par l'appareil ;
    (c) un générateur de gouttelettes (24, 100) connecté aux dits moyens de fourniture de liquide et de flux d'air et agencé de manière à produire un jet pulvérisé de gouttelettes de liquide à partir du dit liquide et du dit flux d'air ; et
    (d) le dit générateur de gouttelettes comprenant une sortie extérieure de chambre (49) agencée pour permettre une distribution de liquide vers l'extérieur à travers la dite sortie, à partir d'une paroi ou cible intérieure d'une chambre d'admission d'air et de liquide, le dit liquide étant entraíné dans un flux d'air à travers la dite sortie de la dite chambre d'admission d'air et de liquide, pour la formation de gouttelettes ;
    caractérisé en ce que
    (e) le dit appareil est sous la forme d'un appareil de pulvérisation mobile du type à poutre (52) pour l'agriculture ou l'horticulture ;
    (f) le dit appareil de pulvérisation comprend une poutre de pulvérisation mobile (54, 56) qu'on peut faire passer, par exemple, le long de rangées multiples de culture (62, 64) tandis qu'elle se trouve au-dessus des dites rangées multiples pendant la pulvérisation ;
    (g) la dite poutre porte des générateurs multiples de gouttelettes (24, 100) prévus pour engendrer des gouttelettes de liquide afin d'effectuer une pulvérisation simultanée de la culture des dites rangées multiples de culture lorsque la dite poutre se trouve au-dessus des dites rangées ; et
    (h) les dits générateurs de gouttelettes (24, 100) sont prévus pour engendrer des jets pulvérisés multiples de gouttelettes pouvant franchir la distance entre les dits générateurs multiples de gouttelettes, portés par la dite poutre (54,56), et la dite culture qui se trouve au-dessous de la dite poutre lorsqu'on déplace la dite poutre au-dessus de la dite culture, et chaque générateur de gouttelettes peut également produire son propre jet pulvérisé divergent (72) de manière à effectuer une couverture de pulvérisation de sa propre partie adjacente de la dite culture, de sorte que la dite culture qui se trouve au-dessous de la dite poutre reçoit une pulvérisation appropriée.
  3. Appareil selon la revendication 1 ou la revendication 2, caractérisé en ce que la dite paroi de chambre (42, 108) est une paroi fermée de la dite chambre, et le dit moyen de fourniture de liquide et le dit moyen de fourniture de flux d'air sont connectés à une paroi d'extrémité opposée (16) de la dite chambre de manière à fournir leurs admissions respectives dans la direction longitudinale de la chambre vers la dite paroi d'extrémité fermée.
  4. Appareil selon la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que le dit moyen de fourniture de liquide (30, 36, 106) est prévu pour fournir du liquide non pulvérisé à la dite chambre (102) par l'intermédiaire d'un injecteur (36) dirigé sensiblement suivant l'axe de la dite chambre à l'endroit de la dite extrémité fermée ou paroi (42) de la dite chambre.
  5. Appareil selon la revendication 4, caractérisé en ce que le dit injecteur (36) est dirigé sensiblement au centre de la dite chambre (24) et symétriquement par rapport à deux sorties ou plus (38) ménagées dans la chambre et à partir desquelles s'effectue la dite pulvérisation de gouttelettes de liquide.
  6. Appareil selon une quelconque des revendications 1 à 5, caractérisé en ce que le dit moyen de fourniture de flux d'air (14) est prévu pour fournir le dit flux d'air à la dite chambre par l'intermédiaire d'un groupe de deux orifices ou plus (26) disposés autour du dit moyen d'admission de liquide (36) à la dite chambre.
  7. Appareil selon une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que la dite sortie (49) de la dite chambre (28) est définie par l'extrémité extérieure d'un trou (46) formé dans une paroi de la dite chambre, l'entrée du dit trou étant disposée de manière à ne pas recevoir de liquide venant directement du dit injecteur (36) avant que le dit liquide ait rencontré la dite paroi d'extrémité fermée de la dite chambre (24).
  8. Appareil selon la revendication 7, caractérisé en ce que l'entrée au dit trou est formée dans la ou les parois (40) s'étendant dans la direction axiale de la dite chambre (24).
  9. Appareil selon la revendication 8, caractérisé en ce que la dite entrée au dit trou (46) est axialement décalée par rapport à la dite paroi intérieure (44) de la dite chambre, vers laquelle sont dirigées les dites admissions de liquide et de flux d'air.
  10. Appareil selon une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que la dite sortie de chambre (49) est disposée de sorte que les gouttelettes éjectées à travers la dite sortie se déplacent d'abord dans une direction latéralement vers l'extérieur par rapport à la dite chambre, et elle est également inclinée par rapport à un rayon vers l'extérieur et par rapport à l'axe d'écoulement de liquide de la dite chambre.
  11. Appareil selon la revendication 10, caractérisé en ce que la dite inclinaison de la dite sortie par rapport au dit rayon est dirigée vers l'extrémité de la dite chambre (28) à laquelle le dit flux de liquide entre dans la chambre.
  12. Appareil selon la revendication 10, caractérisé en ce que la dite inclinaison de la dite sortie par rapport au dit rayon est dirigée à l'opposé de l'extrémité de la chambre à laquelle le dit flux de liquide entre dans la chambre (28).
  13. Appareil selon la revendication 11 et la revendication 12, caractérisé en ce que la dite chambre comprend des sorties (112, 114) inclinées dans les deux dites directions définies, de sorte que l'appareil peut simultanément produire des jets pulvérisés dans des directions substantiellement inclinées l'une par rapport à l'autre.
  14. Appareil selon une quelconque des revendications précédentes, caractérisé en ce que la dite sortie (49) est l'une d'un groupe de sorties mutuellement espacées dans la direction circonférentielle autour de l'axe d'écoulement de liquide de la dite chambre (28).
  15. Appareil selon la revendication 14, caractérisé en ce que la dite sortie (49) est l'une d'au moins deux groupes de sorties disposées symétriquement par rapport à l'axe central d'écoulement de liquide de la dite chambre.
  16. Appareil de pulvérisation pour l'agriculture ou l'horticulture, comprenant un appareil de pulvérisation selon une quelconque des revendications précédentes, en association avec une poutre de pulvérisation (54, 56) et des jambes tombantes (58) montées sur la dite poutre de pulvérisation, les dits générateurs de gouttelettes (66) du dit appareil étant montés sur les dites jambes pour fonctionner sensiblement plus près du niveau du sol que s'ils étaient montés sur la dite poutre.
  17. Procédé de pulvérisation avec un appareil de pulvérisation mobile du type à poutre pour l'agriculture ou l'horticulture, le procédé comprenant :
    (a) la construction d'une poutre de pulvérisation mobile (54, 56) qu'on peut faire passer, par exemple, le long de rangées multiples de culture (62, 64) tandis qu'elle se trouve au-dessus des dites rangées multiples pendant la pulvérisation ;
    (b) l'équipement de la dite poutre avec des générateurs multiples de gouttelettes (66) prévus pour engendrer des gouttelettes de liquide, et l'activation des dits générateurs pour effectuer une pulvérisation simultanée des dites rangées multiples de culture lorsque la dite poutre se trouve au-dessus des dites rangées ; et
    (c) l'agencement des dits générateurs de gouttelettes de sorte qu'ils engendrent des jets pulvérisés multiples de gouttelettes (72) qui traversent la distance entre les dits générateurs multiples de gouttelettes portés sur la dite poutre et la dite culture située au-dessous de la dit poutre, lorsque la dite poutre se déplace au-dessus de la dite culture, et chaque générateur de gouttelettes engendrant également son propre jet pulvérisé divergent qui produit une couverture de pulvérisation de sa propre partie adjacente de la dite culture, de sorte que la dite culture au-dessous da la dite poutre reçoit une pulvérisation appropriée ;
    (d) l'agencement de chaque générateur de gouttelettes (66) pour une alimentation avec un liquide à pulvériser ;
    (e) l'agencement de chaque générateur de gouttelettes pour une alimentation par un moyen de fourniture de flux d'air (14) qui fournit un flux d'air qui sort avec un jet pulvérisé de gouttelettes produit par l'appareil ;
    (f) l'agencement du dit générateur de gouttelettes (66) connecté aux dits moyens de fourniture de liquide et de flux d'air, de manière à produire un jet pulvérisé de gouttelettes de liquide à partir du dit liquide et du dit flux d'air ;
    (g) le dit générateur de gouttelettes comprenant un dispositif d'admission d'air-et-liquide (28), et le dit procédé comprenant l'admission à la fois du dit liquide et du dit flux d'air de sorte qu'ils sont dirigés sensiblement vers une paroi intérieure (42) dans le dit dispositif ;
    (h) le dit générateur de gouttelettes comprenant en outre une structure qui définit un bord ou une limite d'une sortie extérieure (49) du dit dispositif, et le dit procédé comprenant l'étape d'amenée du dit liquide à la dite sortie via la dite paroi intérieure (42) du dit dispositif ;
    (i) le dit procédé comprenant en outre l'étape d'admission du dit air et du dit liquide vers la dite paroi intérieure pour la production des dites gouttelettes pulvérisées à la dite sortie extérieure du dispositif, par entraínement du dit liquide dans le dit flux d'air ; et
    (j) le dit procédé comprenant en outre l'étape de distribution du dit flux de liquide et d'air à partir du dit dispositif à travers la dite sortie dans une direction sensiblement latérale vers l'extérieur par rapport à la direction suivant laquelle les dites admissions d'air et de liquide entrent dans le dit dispositif pour le dit mouvement sensiblement vers la dite paroi intérieure du dit dispositif ;
    caractérisé en ce que
    (k) on construit le dit dispositif d'admission d'air-et-liquide sous la forme d'une chambre (28), on connecte le dit moyen de fourniture de liquide (30) à une extrémité de la chambre, et on ferme la dite chambre à l'extrémité opposée, à laquelle se trouve la dite paroi intérieure ;
    (l) on prévoit la dite sortie extérieure dans une paroi latérale (40) de la chambre, s'étendant entre les dites parois d'extrémité de la chambre ; et
    (m) on ouvre la dite sortie du côté intérieur dans un espace qui relie la dite sortie (49) à la dite paroi intérieure (42).
  18. Procédé pour la distribution de gouttelettes de matière liquide, d'une alimentation centrale de liquide (68) à un point d'application de liquide (72), comprenant :
    (a) la fourniture d'un liquide à distribuer ;
    (b) la création d'un moyen de fourniture de flux d'air (70) et l'utilisation de celui-ci pour fournir un flux d'air qui sort avec le liquide produit par l'appareil ;
    (c) le montage d'un générateur de gouttelettes (66) connecté aux dits moyens de fourniture de liquide et de flux d'air, et l'utilisation du dit générateur pour produire des gouttelettes de liquide ;
    (d) la réalisation du dit générateur de gouttelettes de sorte qu'il comprend une structure définissant un bord ou une limite (49) d'une sortie (38) de la chambre, et la production d'une distribution de liquide vers l'extérieur à travers la dite sortie à partir d'une extrémité ou paroi fermée (42) d'une chambre d'admission d'air-et-liquide de façon à entraíner le dit liquide dans le dit flux d'air à travers la dite sortie de la dite chambre, pour la formation de gouttelettes ;
    caractérisé en ce que :
    (e) le dit procédé est un procédé d'utilisation d'un appareil de pulvérisation mobile du type à poutre (52) pour l'agriculture ou l'horticulture ;
    (f) on construit une poutre de pulvérisation mobile (54, 56) et on fait passer la poutre, par exemple, le long de rangées multiples de culture (62, 64) tout en maintenant la poutre au-dessus des dites rangées multiples pendant la pulvérisation ;
    (g) on utilise les dits générateurs multiples de gouttelettes (66) pour engendrer des gouttelettes de liquide afin d'effectuer une pulvérisation simultanée de la culture des dites rangées multiples de culture lorsque la dite poutre se trouve au-dessus des dites rangées ; et
    (h) on utilise les dits générateurs de gouttelettes pour engendrer des jets pulvérisés multiples de gouttelettes qui traversent la distance entre les dits générateurs multiples de gouttelettes (66) portés par la dite poutre et la dite culture (62, 64) qui se trouvé au-dessous de la dite poutre lorsqu'on déplace la dite poutre au-dessus de la dite culture, et on prévoit chaque générateur de gouttelettes également pour qu'il produise son propre jet pulvérisé divergent (16) de manière à effectuer une couverture de pulvérisation de sa propre partie adjacente de la dite culture de sorte que la dite culture au-dessous de la dite poutre reçoive une pulvérisation appropriée.
  19. Procédé selon la revendication 17 ou la revendication 18, caractérisé par l'étape d'agencement du dit moyen de fourniture de liquide pour l'admission de liquide vers la dite extrémité ou paroi fermée (42, 108) de la dite chambre (28, 102) sous la forme d'un jet de liquide non pulvérisé dirigé sensiblement dans l'axe de la dite chambre, à l'endroit de la dite extrémité ou paroi fermée de la dite chambre.
  20. Procédé selon la revendication 19, caractérisé par l'étape de création du dit jet non pulvérisé dans une direction sensiblement au centre de la dite chambre et symétriquement par rapport à deux sorties ou plus (112, 114) formées dans la dite chambré et à partir desquelles s'effectue la dite pulvérisation de gouttelettes de liquide.
  21. Procédé selon la revendication 20, caractérisé en ce que les fournitures d'air et de liquide (104, 106) à chaque générateur de gouttelettes (100) sont amenées à ce dernier par une jambe tombante (58) et transmises le long de cette dernière par des conduits prévus à l'intérieur, ou par la jambe tombante elle-même.
