Description

The present invention relates to an intermediate plate for sets of stacks of honeycomb trays receiving eggs.

It is well known to use for the storage and / or transport of eggs, thin cardboard or plastic trays, having on both sides series of cells separated by ridges - or studs - arranged in such a way that each projection from one of the faces of the plate corresponds to a cell on the opposite face.

It is customary for such honeycomb trays filled with products to be arranged inside of packing boxes for the purpose of protection during their handling.

It also happens that these filled honeycomb trays are arranged in layers directly on handling pallets, and separated by dividers smooth cardboard, which pallets are then coated with a protective means intended to hold the entire load on the pallet. It is for example a plastic film openwork, similar to a net.

In the case of eggs, each tray usually has thirty alveoli. Usually there are twelve stacks of six trays on a pallet so to cover the entire surface.

We then cover this set of empty and turned honeycomb trays, then a smooth interlayer sheet. On the top of the sheet, we have a new set of trays and so on.

Each set therefore includes two thousand one hundred and sixty eggs and such stacked sets make up all or the top of a palette of transport and / or storage of eggs.

This arrangement and storage technique allows a saving of cardboard packaging and easier handling of eggs.

However, the load carried by the pallet presents a lack of stability during handling. Indeed, the adjoining stacks can slide one by compared to others and destabilize "the building", causing the deterioration of products transported, by crushing.

Document US-A-5 205 410 relates to an intermediate plate for sets of stacks of honeycomb trays receiving eggs. This plate, for example in rigid polyethylene, has a rim capable of covering and wedging on the layer of batteries lower.

In its bottom are formed small bowls which aim to interpose between the pads of empty honeycomb trays, placed above the layer of lower batteries. Such a plate ensures the stability of the assembly during its handling.

The use of empty trays translates, for an entire pallet loaded with egg trays, by a significant increase in its overall height and this also strike the cost of the whole.

However, it is traditional to visually inspect the eggs placed at the top of the palette. These are most often the most damaged and least damaged eggs. resistant placed there. This inspection is made difficult, if not impossible, in accordance with this state of the art document, due to the height of the pallet.

In addition, as can be seen more particularly in FIG. 3 of this document, the connection of the intermediate plate with the lowest plate of the assembly upper is only done at its raised edges, so that the forces of horizontal contacts are concentrated only at these rectilinear edges. Necessarily, the material of the plate is very rigid to be able to support such efforts.

Regarding the connection of the plate with the highest plates of the lower assembly, the bowls are fitted between the plastic studs of empty trays. It exerts on the entire plate contact forces without friction which are concentrated on a reduced number of tops of studs.

La présente invention pallie ces inconvénients.The present invention overcomes these drawbacks.

It aims, while keeping the same number of items transported, to reduce the height of the stack, lower its center of gravity, and reduce the number of honeycomb trays used.

Furthermore, it aims to provide an intermediate plate which has extended contact areas with the honeycomb trays, to improve the stability of all.

These and other objectives are achieved in accordance with the invention.

It therefore relates to an intermediate plate intended to be extended between two stacked sets of juxtaposed stacks of honeycomb trays, each tray comprising a plurality of cells separated by studs and each receiving an article fragile, of the type comprising retaining members capable of ensuring cohesion on the one hand stacks of the same assembly and, on the other hand, the connection of the two superimposed assemblies.

According to the invention, said retaining members consist of cells and studs similar to those. honeycomb trays, so that it is adapted to rest by the bottom of its cells on the studs of the trays of the lower assembly, and for receive the trays of the upper assembly by mutual interlocking of the cells and studs.

Thus, the interlay plate fits perfectly between two batteries superimposed and is directly in contact with the eggs of the lower stack. Comparatively to the technique described in the aforementioned American document, one saves, according to the invention, the use of empty honeycomb trays.

In addition, for an identical number of eggs per pallet, the height of the building is less, in accordance with the invention.

This makes it easier to visually inspect visible eggs basically a palette. The pallet takes up less space, which is not negligible during truck transport. The center of gravity of the building being lowered, its stability is improved.

Finally, in accordance with the invention, no obstacle prevents a automatic depalletization of a building since the intermediate plate does not have any overflows and occupies no more space in height than a conventional honeycomb tray.

  • la plaque est apte à recouvrir au moins une partie de la surface desdits ensembles;
  • la plaque est divisée en un nombre de surfaces élémentaires qui correspond au nombre de piles de chaque ensemble, ces surfaces étant séparées deux à deux par une zone intermédiaire dont la largeur est égale à la valeur de l'écartement entre deux piles voisines ;
  • certaines desdites zones intermédiaires sont partiellement évidées;
Furthermore, according to other advantageous but non-limiting characteristics:
  • the plate is able to cover at least part of the surface of said assemblies;
  • the plate is divided into a number of elementary surfaces which corresponds to the number of piles of each set, these surfaces being separated two by two by an intermediate zone whose width is equal to the value of the spacing between two neighboring piles;
  • some of said intermediate zones are partially hollowed out;

It is a commercial pallet, for example wooden, of dimensions standard and type used in many industries.

In a well known manner, as was mentioned at the beginning of this description, stacks of blister trays 5 containing eggs (not shown) are spread over the surface of the pallet.

Chaque pile comporte de préférence six plateaux alvéolés 5.With standard size honeycomb trays, able to accommodate thirty eggs divided into five lines of six eggs, twelve juxtaposed piles can be placed on the pallet to form a set 3. Each stack preferably has six honeycomb trays 5.

On a désigné par les références 4a, 4b et 4c trois piles de plateaux 5.Three stacks of trays 5 have been designated by the references 4a, 4b and 4c.

Above set 3 is a second set of the same type 3 ', which also receives a 3' 'set. The pallet usually supports five sets of this type.

In the example of FIG. 1, an intermediate plate 6 is extended between two superimposed sets, i.e. between sets 3 and 3 ', and between 3 'and 3 "sets.

This is for example a cardboard or plastic plate, which covers the entire surface of each set.

In known manner, this plate includes retaining means, not shown, capable of ensuring on the one hand the cohesion of the stacks 4a, 4b, 4c of the same 3.3 'or 3' 'assembly and, on the other hand, the connection between two superimposed assemblies.

As shown in Figure 2 attached, it will be noted that the plate conforming to the invention is divided into a series of elementary surfaces 7a, 7b, 7c, etc. corresponding the number and location of the stacks of honeycomb trays.

These surfaces are separated two by two by an intermediate zone 8 of which the width is equal to that which separates two neighboring stacks of honeycomb trays. This width has been deliberately exaggerated in Figure 2 to highlight the location and the relative arrangement of these intermediate zones.

In FIG. 3 is shown in detail, seen from above and partially, an intermediate plate according to the invention.

According to the invention, the plate retaining members 60 consist of cells 61 and studs 62 similar to those of conventional honeycomb trays intended for receive eggs.

This is for example a plastic or cardboard plate, molded using a technique similar to that used for molding the trays honeycombed, which reduces the cost price.

The plate includes twelve elementary surfaces 7. Only one of these 7d is shown entirely in the figure.

It comprises a series of five lines of five cells 61, separated diagonally two by two by a pad 62.

The surface 7d is separated from the surface 7c by an intermediate zone 8 partially hollowed out. They are connected to each other only by two connecting elements 64 and 65. The spacing between surfaces 7c and 7d corresponds to that which separates two stacks adjacent to honeycomb trays. The same goes for all other elementary surfaces.

According to the invention and as shown in Figure 6, the plate is adapted to rest by the bottom of its cells 61 on the pads 51 of the plates 5 of the lower assembly. The outline of a tray of such an assembly has been delimited in dotted lines in FIG. 3 and the eggs E which it receives, represented in the form of circles, also in dotted lines.

The friction of the cells 61 on the pads 51 of the plates of the assembly lower are sufficient to ensure the cohesion of the batteries of the same set in a horizontal direction.

Thus, the contact forces with friction are exerted on 360 pads 51, or approximately on 720 cm 2 .

The plate 6 is also adapted to receive the plates of the upper assembly by mutual interlocking of the cells and the studs. This is what has been shown in Figure 6 (arrows f ). To do this, the plates of this assembly are deposited after having undergone a rotation of a quarter turn relative to the plates of the lower assembly.

This socket ensures the connection between the superimposed assemblies.

The contact forces are distributed over 360 half-cells of 10 cm 2 , i.e. a contact surface of 3600 cm 2 .

Due to the distribution of forces and the large contact surface, use a weak material for the intermediate plates, such as cardboard or thin sheet polystyrene. The use of this material would not be possible, in accordance to the aforementioned US patent, due to the small contact surface.

Note that when a pallet is fully loaded, it can be surrounded by a possibly perforated plastic film, or a strip.

As already said above, in addition to the advantage of increasing the stability of loaded pallets, the plate according to the invention makes it possible to reduce the height of the loadings a few decimeters, which makes it easier to carry and move, for example lowering of the center of gravity. In addition, this makes it easier to carry out the visual inspection of the eggs in the upper piles, as well as the handling of the building.

In an embodiment not shown in the figures, the plate according to the invention occupies only part of the surface of the battery assemblies. For example, it covers all of the central stacks in each set and only a small part of the peripheral batteries. Although small in area, this plate is capable of ensuring the cohesion of the batteries of the same assembly and the connection of two superimposed sets.

According to another embodiment, this plate takes the form of a cross or a frame covering only the peripheral batteries.

Of course, the assemblies separated by the plate according to the invention, are not necessarily supported on a pallet. They can rest directly on floor.

An automatic device 9 - or remote manipulator - is used for this purpose. It has a base 90 capable of being moved according to the double arrow g 1 and controlled remotely. It is also equipped with a series of articulated and possibly telescopic arms 91 and 92, at the end of which is mounted a fork 93 with two parallel arms 94.

As shown in FIG. 8, owing to the fact that the intermediate plate 6 has no projection and that it has a height substantially equal to that of a honeycomb plate 5, there is a passage F between two neighboring plates 5, of sufficient dimensions to be able to slide an arm 94 of the manipulator there. The latter preferably has, as is visible, a bent section, so as to slide and position more easily along a plate 5.

The mutual spacing between the arms 94 is chosen so that the latter can be placed on each side of the oblique opposite edges of a honeycomb tray, in lightly enclosing it.

The length of the arms 94 can be provided, as shown on te Figure 7, to be able to move together several batteries 3 arranged one behind the other.

The remote manipulator is shown partially discharging batteries bottom of the set 1. It is obvious that we start by discharging the batteries your highest.

Le sens de déplacement du brin supérieur est symbolisé par la flèche g2.FIG. 7 also shows a conveyor belt C with a movable belt on which a stack 3 of trays has been previously deposited. The direction of movement of the upper strand is symbolized by the arrow g 2 .
