Description

Abschattungsvorrichtung für eine Kraftfahrzeugscheinwerfer¬ lampe und Herstellungsverfahren für eine derartige Abschat¬ tungsvorrichtungShading device for a motor vehicle headlight lamp and manufacturing method for such a shading device
The invention relates to a shading device for a motor vehicle headlight lamp and a manufacturing method for such a shading device according to the preamble of claim 1 and claim 3, respectively. The shading device is usually located in the interior of the lamp bulb of one with two incandescent filaments, namely the low beam and the high-beam incandescent lamp, equipped motor vehicle headlight lamp. The shading device is usually a dimming cap which partially surrounds the dipped-beam incandescent filament, while the high-beam incandescent filament is arranged outside the dimming cap.
In order to produce the anti-dazzle caps from a sheet metal or a sheet metal strip, a plurality of anti-dazzle caps are usually formed and punched out in rows. The distance between two successive anti-glare caps when punching out is greater than the greatest length dimension of the anti-glare cap, so that a relatively high proportion of the metal sheet remains unused as waste when the anti-glare caps are produced.
It is the object of the invention to provide an inexpensive, material-saving shading device for a motor vehicle lamp and to specify a manufacturing method for such a shading device.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by the characterizing features of claims 1 and 3, respectively. Particularly advantageous embodiments of the invention are described in the subclaims.
In the shading device according to the invention, the welding vane is provided with a recess, the shape of which is essentially determined by the shape of a region of the shading device opposite the welding vane. This measure allows a material saving of up to 15% and therefore lowers the manufacturing costs for the shading device accordingly, without thereby impairing the functionality of the shading device. In addition, the punching out and shaping of the shading device according to the invention do not require any additional work step. The surface of the shading device which is effective for shading is advantageously curved and, particularly advantageously, trough-shaped. As a result, the shading device can be arranged in this way that it surrounds the filament to be shaded from several sides. The shading device according to the invention also advantageously has a wall region, which is raised in comparison with the other wall parts of the shading device and is referred to as the shading nose, and which lies opposite the welding lug. This raised wall area serves for better shading of the luminous element shaded by the shading device against a second luminous element arranged outside the shading device. The outline or the edge of the recess in the welding lug advantageously has approximately the same shape as the edge line of the shading nose projected onto a plane. The welding vane of the shading device according to the invention is advantageously provided with a transverse rib, which enables a projection to be welded to one end of the shaded filament. The recess in the shading device according to the invention advantageously extends from the edge of the welding vane to the transverse rib. The remaining webs of the welding lug, which are arranged on both sides of the recess and protrude beyond the transverse rib, are sufficient as an attachment for the gripping tools of the automatic placement and production machines.
During the manufacturing process according to the invention, a multiplicity of shading devices are formed and punched out in rows from a sheet metal, the distance between two successive shading devices when punching out of the sheet metal according to the invention being smaller than the largest length dimension of a shading device. The greatest length dimension of a shading device is defined by the length of the longest side of the rectangle with the smallest circumference, which is the edge line of the shading device projected onto a plane running parallel to the welding vane on a scale of 1: 1, including its Sweat flag - completely covered. When the shading devices are punched out, a recess is formed in the welding vane of each shading device, into which the immediately following shading device already engages. The shading nose of the next shading device is advantageously formed from the sheet metal material punched out of the welding lug of the immediately preceding shading device. The shape or the edge of the recess in the welding vane is thus essentially determined by the outline of the shading nose.

A.The anti-dazzle device 1 of the preferred embodiment • of the invention is trough-shaped. It has an essentially flat bottom 2 provided with two welding beads 2a. The anti-dazzle device also has an essentially flat welding lug 3 formed on its edge. The wall area 4a of the anti-dazzle device 1 opposite the welding lug 3 is raised in comparison to the other wall areas 4b of the anti-dazzle device 1 and forms the so-called shading nose 4a, which shades the low-beam and high-beam incandescent filaments (not shown) against one another. The area effective for shading the low-beam incandescent filament is formed by the base 2 and the curved wall areas 4a, 4b of the anti-dazzle device 1. Apart from the welding lug 3 and the welding beads 2a, the shape of the anti-dazzle device 1 is reminiscent of the hull of a boat. In this comparison, the welding lug 3 would be formed on the stern of the fuselage and the shading nose 4a would form the raised bow of the fuselage. The anti-dazzle device 1 is mirror-symmetrical with respect to the mirror plane A-A running in the middle, perpendicular to the base 2 and in the longitudinal direction through the anti-dazzle device 1.
Damit überragt die Abschat¬ ternase 4a die übrigen Wandbereiche 4b in der Höhe um ca. 1 ,4 mm.The welding lug 3 formed on the edge of the surface 2, 4a, 4b effective for shading is equipped with a transverse rib 3a, which is used for projection welding with one end of the low-beam incandescent filament. In addition, the welding lug 3 has a cutout 5 which extends from the edge of the welding lug 3 to the transverse rib 3a. The edge of the recess 5 of the welding vane 3 has approximately the same shape or contour as the edge line 6 of the shading nose 4a of the anti-dazzle cap 1 projected onto a plane. On both sides of the recess 5 there is one across the transverse rib 3a protruding web 7a, 7b belonging to the welding lug 3. These webs 7a, 7b are sufficient as an approach for the gripping tools the assembly and manufacturing machines. The largest length dimension of the anti-dazzle device 1, measured in the longitudinal direction from the shading nose 4a to the outer edge of the webs 7a, 7b running perpendicular to the mirror plane AA, measures 12.7 mm. The maximum depth of the recess 5 is 1.7 mm. The depth of the trough-like anti-dazzle device 1, without taking the welding beads 2a into account, is approximately 2.7 mm. The maximum height of the shading nose 4a, measured from the bottom 2, is approximately 4.1 mm. The shading nose 4a thus projects above the remaining wall areas 4b in height by approximately 1.4 mm.
The anti-dazzle caps 1, 1 ', 1 "according to the invention are formed and punched out in rows in the same orientation from a sheet of molybdenum sheet 8 in the same operation (FIG. 4). The distance between two successive anti-dazzle caps 1, 1' or 1 ', 1 "smaller than the largest length dimension of a dimming cap 1, 1', 1". When punching out, a cutout 5, 5 'is created in the welding lug 3, 3' of each dimming cap 1, 1 ', into which the immediate the following anti-dazzle cap 1 ', 1 "engages. The shading nose 4a ', 4a "of the next anti-dazzle device 1', 1" is formed from the sheet metal material punched out of the welding lug 3, 3 'of the immediately preceding anti-dazzle device 1, 1'. The shape of the recess 5, 5 'in the welding lug 3, 3' is thus determined by the edge of the shading nose 4a ', 4a ". All anti-dazzle caps 1, 1', 1" are shaped identically. The edge of the recess 5 in the welding lug 3 therefore has approximately the same shape as the edge line 6 of the shading nose 4a of the anti-dazzle device 1 projected onto a plane. The correspondence applies only approximately because the shading nose 4a is simultaneously subjected to a shaping process during the stamping process. The invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiment explained in more detail above. For example, the invention can also be applied to a shading device according to the German patent application with the official file number 196 06 876.2.
