Abstract

Assembly comprises creating a first sub-assembly by joining together an upper (11) which is at least partially supple and an inner sole (13) using nails (15), and then making a second sub-assembly by adding an outer sole (2), which is fixed in place by rivets (18). The second sub-assembly is then joined to the rigid frame (1) by nuts and bolts (5a, 5b). The second sub-assembly can be adjusted relative to the frame by means of a transverse elongated slot (1b) for the front bolt.

Description

The present invention relates to a shoe / chassis assembly for a sports article such as roller skate, ice skate, ... etc, in which the shoe is rigidly connected to its entire length to the chassis of the sports article.

The invention relates more particularly to assemblies of this type in which the shoe consists of a reinforced, but nevertheless flexible upper, obtained by fitting on form, as opposed to shoes made of a rigid plastic upper molded.

An assembly of this type is known for example from an inline skate sold under the trade name K2. In this known skate, the shoe consists of a rod flexible with a smooth outer sole, which is made separately and is then fixed by bonding by the underside of its outer sole to an external rigid frame, itself riveted to a frame carrying the wheels.

Such an assembly has many drawbacks: number of thicknesses to be assembled, assembly of the outer sole to the upper, bonding of the shoe over the entire surface of its sole on a rigid frame, embedding of the shoe upper inside the frame for collage, ... etc.

Furthermore, the bonding and riveting of the shoe on the rigid framework prevent any removable or adjustable position thereof relative to the chassis.

Document DE 30 43 425 describes an ice skate, the assembly of which comprises only one single step consisting in assembling the upper, the outer sole and the chassis using the means fastening with which the insole is provided.

The object of the present invention is to remedy these drawbacks and to provide a method assembly to overcome the above drawbacks and in particular to simplify as much as possible the assembly / mounting operations on a chassis of a type rod flexible, mounted on form, without compromising the solidity or the possibilities of adjustment of such an assembly.

This object is achieved in the assembly method according to the invention by the fact that it comprises the steps consisting in:
  • mounting the flexible rod on an inner sole known as the first mounting, using first assembly means, forming a first sub-assembly,
  • producing a second sub-assembly comprising the first sub-assembly and the outer sole by assembling said elements using second assembly means (rivets),
  • perform the assembly of the second sub-assembly to the chassis by means of third assembly means arranged between the first assembly and the chassis.

Indeed, the creation of sub-assemblies allows the possibilities of disassembly and adjustment of the rod relative to the chassis.

In addition, the construction selected has fewer thicknesses since, for example, the upper has no outer sole and is therefore less expensive, in terms of materials and manufacturing time, than the known construction cited above.

In any case, the invention will be better understood and other characteristics thereof will be highlighted with the aid of the description which follows with reference to the appended schematic drawing, illustrating by way of nonlimiting example a mode preferred embodiment and in which:
  • FIG. 1 is an exploded perspective view of a shoe / chassis assembly according to the invention,
  • FIG. 2 is a view in longitudinal section of the assembly of FIG. 1 after assembly,
  • FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view along III-III of FIG. 2.

Figures 1 to 3 show, without limitation, the application of a shoe construction according to the invention to an inline type roller skate shoe.

This skate includes:
  • a chassis 1 intended to receive wheels (not shown in the drawing),
  • a rigid shoe frame essentially consisting of:
    • a rigid base 2 which defines both the sole part of the shoe intended to be connected to the chassis 1 and a heel stiffener 2a issuing from said base and which can receive a rigid articulated collar intended to surround the ankle of the user but not shown in the drawing,
  • a portion of flexible shoe 10 consisting of:
    • a rod 11 (in this case a low rod in the drawing) provided with a nozzle 12, this nozzle 12 comprising ventilation holes 12a,
    • a first assembly 13,
  • a removable insole 14 also called a first insole, this sole being added after manufacture of the assembly.

The assembly 10 constituting the flexible shoe part is obtained in a conventional manner by shaping around a shape representing the volume of the foot to be received.

The rod 11 is firstly made from different materials such as textile or leather, chosen for their breathability and their resistance, these different materials, including the end piece 12, being assembled together by seams 11a.

The assembly thus formed is mounted, after forming the heel part, on a form defining a peripheral return 11b and assembled to the first mounting 13 by nails 15 disposed peripherally along said return 11b.

The fixing of the rod 11 on the first mounting can also be carried out by glue disposed between the peripheral return 11b and the first mounting 13.

The first sub-assembly 10 thus formed is then assembled to the rigid base 2, by rivets 18, in this case three rivets 18a, 18b, so as to define a second subset 20.

The three rivets are arranged in a triangular configuration, a first rivet 18a being disposed at the front end of the assembly 20 and the two other rivets 18b being disposed at the ends of a transverse line corresponding substantially to the joint metatarsophalangeal of the foot.

The second sub-assembly 20 is then assembled to the chassis via two systems screws 5a - nuts 5b arranged along the longitudinal axis L of the shoe, respectively at the ends front and back of it.

As shown more particularly in Figure 1, each screw 5a is first introduced into a associated hole 13a of the first mounting, this hole 13a being provided with a countersink for the housing of the screw head, then it passes successively through an associated hole 2b of the base 2, and a hole 1a, 1b, chassis 1.

Les vis 5a servent également en même temps à assembler la partie tige souple 10 à l'embase rigide 2, par pincement de ladite embase entre la première de montage 13 et le châssis rigide 1.Thus, the removable assembly of the shoe part 20 is made to the chassis 1, making it possible to change of the shoe and / or the chassis in the event of deterioration of one of the two. 5a screws also serve at the same time to assemble the flexible rod part 10 to the rigid base 2, by pinching of said base between the first mounting 13 and the rigid frame 1.

Furthermore, the hole 1b for the passage of the connecting screw 5a at the front end of the shoe is provided. with an oblong shape in transverse direction so as to allow an angular adjustment of the axis longitudinal L of the shoe relative to the longitudinal axis of the chassis, for adaptation morphological at the foot of the user.

Such an adjustment can be carried out very easily, it suffices to loosen the screws 5a slightly and rotate the assembly 20 in the oblong slot 1b around the screw located at the heel. Such pivoting is facilitated by the subassembly 20 previously formed.

The assembly according to the invention therefore offers the following advantages:
  • possibility of adjusting the shoe sub-assembly 20 relative to the chassis 1,
  • easy assembly by rivets / screws instead of glue. This assembly is particularly advantageous as regards the connection of the flexible rod 10 to the rigid base 2. Indeed, such an assembly traditionally carried out by gluing is always delicate and random due to the difference in rigidity between the elements to be assembled,
  • good torsional and longitudinal stiffness,
  • optimization of the locations of the anchor points arranged on the one hand at the level of the forefoot where the greatest torsional forces occur, and on the other hand in a longitudinal direction, for an assembly, over its entire length, from the shoe to the chassis,
  • elimination of an assembly thickness, compared with a construction of the known type, since at most substantially three thicknesses are assembled each time. Thus, the screws carry out the assembly of the chassis, the base and the first mounting, while the rivets carry out the assembly of the first mounting, the rod (or end piece) and the rigid base.
Such removal of a thickness to be assembled is particularly important since the assembly of multiple thicknesses, in particular by gluing, is all the more difficult the greater the number of thicknesses,
  • elimination of a conforming operation at the level of the rod by providing the rigid endpiece already formed, assembled directly on the rod,
  • better ventilation at the rigid end piece by the absence of material from the rod below said end piece and removal of extra thicknesses at this level,
  • possibility of using a less expensive plastic material than thermosetting material for the construction of the plastic tip since the latter does not have to be shaped,
  • elimination of the operation of bonding the rod to the rigid base, such an operation being complicated, random and requiring the use of compatible materials.
