Abstract

The display packaging for a watch comprises a support for the watch. The support is constituted by a first module (1) having a support surface (4) with a first support length. In a second configuration, resulting from assembling this first module with a second complementary movable module (7), the support surface (4,8) has a support length greater than the first. The second module has two lateral tabs (10) which engage in lateral slots (5) in the first module.

Description

The present invention relates to a packaging device and presentation of at least one piece of jewelry or clockwork according to the preamble of claim 1. The invention also relates to a presentation or display support. storage of at least one piece of jewelry or timepieces likely to be used in such a device.

Packaging and part presentation devices jewelry or watch (also called "jewel cases") which are currently widely marketed consist of rigid structures made of synthetic material or cardboard which generally come in the form of a box comprising a housing part in which the watch or the piece of jewelry is intended to come position directly or through a support, a cover being intended to be folded over said part to close the box. For this purpose, this type of box generally includes a mechanical locking system. In the case of a bracelet or a wristwatch, the bracelet is closed so that the piece fits on the support. In order to advantageously present size pieces different, different media suitable specifically to support such or such pieces (by example men's, women's or children's wristwatches, each with its own standard strap length), are provided.

US 2, 180,885 describes a device for packaging and presentation of a piece of jewelry or timepiece comprising a support intended to receive said part. This support is provided to receive watch straps from different types and different lengths. To this end, the support essentially comprises a ramp (15) in the form coarse arc or C (with the opening facing bottom), therefore of arch, and a metallic elastic member (18) of similar form. A hoop (15) and an elastic member (18) are joined together, the latter being pressed against this one over its greatest length, only the front part of the member (18) emerging from the arch. A necessary stiffening of the monolithic block that form these two elements is obtained by adding walls lateral (14) (in the absence of walls, said elements would of course be subjected, during each manipulation, to spin or twist effects). The folding of the part front of the member (18) is more or less accentuated, depending on the strap length: the elastic metal band is strongly pulled back when the support receives a ladies watch (as seen in Figure 2 of D1) and will be significantly less when said support receives a watch men. The watch holder assembly must then be inserted in a box comprising a body and a cover, the support having no holding on its own.

CH 581 459 describes a device for packaging a piece of jewelry, in particular a wristwatch, display and comprising a support intended to receive said part. The primary objective is to arrive at a case (or envelope) allowing rational storage and, above all, ensuring safe transport of the part. To this end, the system includes a case consisting of two identical elements, removable, i.e. plugged into each other and detachable from each other, and a support formed by two parts - a first and a second part - of complementary forms, cooperating with each other. The first part of the support has elastic means. The second part can be plugged into the first and can be removed, the bond resulting from a pinch effect (or pressure), thanks to said elastic means. Each parts must have a side wall having a raised oblong area on which a corresponding side part of the case comes to take support. The watch is arranged on the first part of the support comprising the elastic means, the bracelet being pressed against the inside of the second part one once the two parts are assembled, the watch being thus immobilized.

The object of the invention is to provide a device packaging and presentation of at least one piece of jewelry or watchmaking with a support for said piece, which makes packaging and presentation possible advantageous of several types of pieces of jewelry or of watchmaking, and whose manufacture is easy and little expensive.

The objective is achieved using the means defined in the claim 1. The support surface in kit form constitutes a support which can have several configurations depending on the number and dimensions of modules used. It allows the use of a single device for jewelry or timepieces with different sizes, without the need to build whole supports of different size and specifically appropriate, which means lower costs for significant production. The removable module (s) of the support makes it easier to adapt it to the size of the part to be packaged and / or presented. So the means of the invention overcomes the drawbacks encountered with the devices of the prior art.

The means defined in the dependent claims allow, for their part, to carry out the invention according to preferred executions.

Figures la, 1b and 1c show three views orthogonal of the first module 1 according to the invention, the Figures 1a and 1c respectively showing a first and a second side view of module 1, Figure 1b representing a top view. The first module 1 has a form substantially cylindrical with an oval cross section or oblong. The two parallel side faces 2, 3 of the first module 1 are, for example, made of cardboard, wood or made of synthetic material, their outer surfaces being preferably covered with leather, suede, imitation leather, fabric or other suitable material. Between said side faces 2, 3 is a part serving cushion, for example of foam, surrounded by a surface of continuous cylindrical support 4 in leather, suede, imitation leather or any other suitable material, which support surface 4 is intended to receive one or more pieces of jewelry or watchmaking. The support length of said support surface 4 roughly corresponds to the length of the around the side faces 2, 3.

The first module 1 is provided with two lateral slots parallel 5, 6 able to receive two lateral tabs second module (see Fig. 2). said slots 5, 6 are advantageously provided near the faces side 2, 3 and about halfway between the ends of the oblong module 1 (see Fig. 1b). They are means allowing the first module to be connected removably and the second complementary module.

Figures 2a, 2b and 2c show three views orthogonal of the second complementary module 7 according to the invention, the Figures 2a and 2c respectively showing a first and a second side view of the second additional module 7, Figure 2b representing a top view. The second additional module 7 has a surface of discontinuous support 8, this being extended on both sides and other part of a connecting part, that is to say connecting this support surface 8, which part includes a surface 9 intended to stand in front of or in contact with a portion support surface of the first module 1.

In addition, this second complementary module 7 is provided with two tabs side 10, 11 intended to cooperate with the slots side 5, 6 of the first module 1. Said tabs 10, 11 are preferably formed as extensions partial of two parallel side faces 12, 13 which are, for example, made of cardboard, wood or synthetic material, their outer surfaces being covered with leather, suede, imitation leather or any other suitable material. The tabs 10, 11 have a triangular or trapezoidal shape, which facilitates the mounting and dismounting of the support. Between said faces side 12, 13 is a part serving as a cushion, for example made of foam, surrounded on the one hand by the surface of discontinuous cylindrical support 8 in leather, suede, imitation leather or any other suitable material and, on the other hand, the bonding surface 9.

Figure 3 is a schematic side view in section partial of the first module 1 and second complementary module 7 in the state assembled. The tongues 10, 11 are introduced into the respective slots 5, 6, thus frictionally connecting between them removably said modules 1, 7 which together form essentially cylindrical with a cross section approximately triangular with rounded corners. In this second configuration, the support has a surface of support 4, 8 having a support length greater than the length of the support surface 4 of the only first module 1, said support thus being able to be adapted, depending on the dimensions of the second additional module 7, at the most various pieces of jewelry or timepieces to be packaged and / or to present. It is also possible to plan, by example, a third module, which could be mounted on the first module 1 or on the second complementary module 7, making it possible to realize a support having a support surface of another length again.

In the example illustrated, the first module 1 can constitute alone a support having a support surface 4 likely to receive, for example, a wristwatch women. But this first module 1, when it is provided with the second detachable additional module 7, forms a new support providing an extended support surface 4, 8 capable of receive, for example, a men's wristwatch.

Although the slots 5, 6 and the tabs 10, 11 are proven to be advantageous with regard to the cost of ease of assembly and disassembly of the support as well as the safe and reliable connection of modules 1 and 7, it goes without saying that any other suitable connection means is possible.

Figure 4 shows three schematic orthogonal views in partial section of the device according to the invention without said modules 1, 7, Figures 4a and 4c showing respectively a first and a second view of side of the device, Figure 4b showing a view of above. The device comprises a box 14 composed of a part 15 forming a housing and a cover 16. Said box 14 is provided with a receiving or support member able to cooperate with the compound support either alone first module 1, or of the two modules 1, 7. According to the example, this body consists of a preform 17 provided a recess 18 serving as a housing for the support taken in either of its two configurations.

The recess 18 may have a shape essentially cylindrical with a cross-section or oval. In the example illustrated, the recess 18 has a shape essentially prismatic with a polygonal section and convex. This makes it possible to store the support with the part to be present from different angles (see Fig. 5) in the box 14, each tilt of the support corresponding to a oblique position of different presentation of the piece in question.

The recess 18 has two parallel side walls 19, 20 for clamping the support and a base surface 21 having at least one oblique portion 22. Preferably, the width of the first module 1 is slightly greater than the width of the second module 7, so that the member 17 essentially cooperates with the first module 1. From this way, the support itself, in all its configurations can easily be removed from the housing, without having to detach the second additional module 7 from the first module 1, because the uncoupling in this case would make the removal or the extraction of the only second additional module 7 from the housing 17 annoying. A clasp 23 is provided for the box 14, as well that a soft layer 24 provided with a coating inside cover 16, which layer ensures safe storage of the part (s) to be packed and / or presented in the box 14.

Figure 5 is a side view of the device with the first module 1 and second complementary module 7 in the assembled state. A watch 25, for example a men's watch, with a bracelet 26 is mounted on the support constituting the kit support surface 1, 7. By removing the second complementary module 7, said support is immediately ready to receive a part from another size, for example a ladies' watch. The device according to the invention then makes it possible, depending on the dimensions the first module 1 and the second module 7 (and possible modules ), the packaging and the advantageous presentation of almost all types of jewelry or watchmaking.

Claims (15)

1. Packaging and presentation device for at least one piece of jewellery or a timepiece, comprising a supporting surface intended to receive the piece, characterised in that the supporting surface is made up of a kit and comprises a first module (1) and at least one second, complementary module (7), the modules being provided with means allowing to removably connect them to each other such that a first and a second configuration are possible, the first configuration consisting of the first module (1), which has a supporting surface (4) of a first supporting length, and the second configuration resulting from the assembly of the first module (1) with the second, complementary module (7) with a supporting surface (8) of a second supporting length.
2. Device according to claim 1, characterised in that the first module (1) has an essentially cylindrical shape with an oval or oblong cross-section.
3. Device according to claim 1 or 2, characterised in that the supporting surface of the second, complementary module (7) is discontinuous (8) and followed on either side by a connecting portion (9).
4. Device according to claim 3, characterised in that the connecting portion comprises a surface (9) which is intended to face or to contact a portion of the supporting surface (4) of the first module (1).
5. Device according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the first module (1) comprises at least one slot (5, 6) for receiving a corresponding tongue (10, 11) of the second, complementary module (7).
6. Device according to claim 5, characterised in that the first module (1) comprises two parallel lateral slots (5, 6) for receiving two corresponding lateral tongues (10, 11) of the second, complementary module (7).
7. Device according to claim 5 or 6, characterised in that the lateral tongue(s) (10, 11) of the second, complementary module (7) has/have a triangular or trapezoid shape.
8. Device according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterised in that in the assembled state, the first module (1) and the second, complementary module (7) have an essentially cylindrical shape with an approximately triangular cross-section with rounded corners.
9. Device according to one of claims 1 to 8, characterised in that it comprises a box (14) provided with a seat or supporting member (17) intended to cooperate with the composite supporting surface composed either of the first module (1) alone or of several modules (1, 7).
10. Device according to claim 9, characterised in that the member consists of a preformed part (17) having a recess (18) serving as a seat for the composite supporting surface in any one of its configurations.
11. Device according to claim 10, characterised in that the recess (18) has an essentially cylindrical form with a cross-section in the shape of a circular or oval segment.
12. Device according to claim 10, characterised in that the recess (18) has an essentially prismatic form with a polygonal and convex cross-section.
13. Device according to claim 10 to 12, characterised in that the recess (18) has two parallel side walls (19, 20) in order to clamp the composite supporting surface, as well as a base surface (21) having at least one oblique portion (22).
14. Device according to one of claims 9 to 13, characterised in that the width of the first module (1) is slightly greater than the width of the second, complementary module (7), such that the member (17) cooperates with the first module (1) essentially.
15. Device according to one of claims 1 to 14, characterised in that a plurality of second, complementary modules (7) are provided, each of which results in a supporting surface of a different supporting length in the assembled state.
