Definitions
- the invention relates to a closure cap made of plastic according to the preamble of claim 1.
- closure caps are used primarily for closing containers, in particular bottles with liquid contents. If the closure cap is used on containers with carbonated beverages, the closure cap may have to remain reliably connected to the container mouth even under considerable gas pressure. Therefore, retaining means are provided on the container mouth and on the inside of the closure cap, with which the closure cap engages with the container mouth. However, this also makes the intended removal of the closure cap by hand more difficult.
- Various proposals are known for solving this problem.
- CH-PS-529 022 shows a closure cap made of plastic, which is provided with a bracket encompassing the outer wall of the cap, by means of which the closure cap can be pulled off the container mouth with the application of force.
- CH-PS-553 696 shows a closure cap which is provided on its jacket with a push-off nose and with predetermined breaking points.
- the sealing cap can be removed by pressing the push-off nose.
- the predetermined breaking points tear and allow the retaining elements to be overcome more easily. Cracked predetermined breaking points also indicate an unauthorized opening of the container.
- DE-DO-1 782 059 shows a plastic closure cap which is integrated with a tear-off ring and with in the cap jacket. th weakening zones is provided. If a force is applied to the tear ring to open the closure, the weakened zones tear, which simplifies the opening of the closure cap.
- the retaining element of the closure cap additionally has sections of reduced thickness and possibly also openings in order to give the cap increased flexibility.
- the object of the invention is therefore to avoid the disadvantages of the known and in particular to create a plastic closure cap for C0 2 -containing beverages, which can be removed from the mouth of the container with as little effort as possible.
- the closure cap is also intended to indicate the first opening of the container.
- the closure cap has a closure base and a cylindrical jacket connected to it.
- a retaining bead is attached to the inside of the cylindrical jacket and can engage retaining elements in the region of the container mouth.
- a tear-off ring is provided to open the closure cap. at least one, but preferably two, connection points is connected to the edge region of the jacket which can be placed on the container opening.
- the tear-off ring runs concentrically to the jacket around it and can be closed or opened in itself.
- the jacket is provided with predetermined tear lines. These predetermined tear lines run vertically from the edge region of the jacket upwards towards the closure bottom and are arranged adjacent to the connection points between the tear-off ring and jacket.
- the tear-off ring is bent upwards and a force is exerted on the connection points between the tear-off ring and the jacket by pulling with a finger. Due to the proximity to the predetermined tear lines and the connection in the edge area of the jacket, the tear-off ring is optimally connected to the jacket. As a result, the force applied to open the closure cap can be used to the maximum. The opening force is brought by the tear-off ring directly onto the predetermined tear lines, which makes it easy to tear open. The closure can then be removed with little effort.
- the Zip ring connected to the jacket at two connection points.
- the tear-off ring apart from the fixed connection points, is additionally connected to the edge region of the jacket with one or more predetermined breaking bars.
- the tear-off ring is held in its position. It is avoided that the tear-off ring gets caught during transport, for example, and the closure is accidentally opened.
- predetermined breaking bars also serve as tamper evidence. To open the cap, the tear-off ring must be separated from the jacket and pulled up.
- the tear-off ring can be designed as a non-self-contained ring which extends in a circular sector from one connection point to the other around the casing. Because the tear-off ring ends in the area of the connection points, an optimal transmission of force from the tear-off ring to the jacket of the closure cap is achieved. However, a tear-off ring designed as a self-contained ring is also advantageous, which is connected to the casing at one or more connection points. With a self-contained tear-off ring, the risk that several containers get caught in one another with their caps is reduced.
- the retaining bead running on the inside of the jacket preferably has two or more vertical interruptions.
- the retaining bead is thus divided into several sections, which gives the closure cap additional flexibility. This is particularly advantageous during the opening process. Two of these interruptions are preferred in this way arranged that the vertical predetermined tear lines cross the retaining bead in the area of the interruptions. If the sheath is torn open in the area lying between the predetermined tear lines when the closure is opened, a sheath segment is folded up, which carries a section of the retaining bead. This section is thus no longer in engagement with the retaining elements of the container, which means that a considerably lower effort is required to open the closure.
- the vertical predetermined tear lines can be attached both on the inside and on the outside of the jacket.
- the predetermined tear lines are preferably designed as material weakenings of the jacket.
- a horizontal hinge is arranged in the jacket above the predetermined tear lines, which runs between the predetermined tear lines arranged adjacent to the connection point or connections. This makes it easier to fold up the jacket area between the predetermined tear lines, which preferably contains a section of the retaining bead.
- the hinge can be designed in the form of a material weakening. The jacket must be thicker in the area of the hinge than in the area of the predetermined tear lines, so that the entire jacket segment is not torn out of the jacket when it is opened.
- a closure cap with optimal properties results from the fact that the preceding exemplary embodiments are additionally provided with sealing elements in the region of the closure bottom and / or on the jacket. Suitable sealing elements are sealing lips which run concentrically to the jacket and which rest on the inner or outer surface of the container mouth.
- FIG. 1 shows a side view of a closure cap according to the invention with a partial section
- FIG. 2 shows a view of a jacket section from the inside of the closure cap on an enlarged scale
- FIG. 3 shows a closure cap from below
- FIG. 4 shows a schematic illustration of a closure cap during the opening process
- FIGS. 5 to 7 are subviews of modified exemplary embodiments of the invention.
- a closure cap has a circular disc-shaped closure base 2 and a cylindrical jacket 3 attached to the edge of the closure base 2.
- the jacket 3 has means for fastening the closure cap 1 on a container mouth.
- the retaining bead 5 has on its radially innermost surface a retaining area 13 which engages with the retaining elements of the container mouth.
- a tear-off ring 7 is at two connection points 8 with the edge region 10 of the jacket facing away from the closure base 2 3 connected.
- the tear-off ring 7 is not completely self-contained and extends around the jacket, concentrically to the jacket and thus sweeps over a sector of the circle of preferably at least 270 degrees. This means that the two connection points 8 on the jacket 3 are arranged adjacent to one another.
- predetermined tear lines 9 are also provided, which extend approximately vertically from the edge section 10 of the jacket 3 towards the closure base 2 and beyond the retention area 13 of the retention bead 5.
- the predetermined tear lines 9 are arranged adjacent to the connection points 8, so that the force emanating from the tear-off ring 7 when the closure cap 1 is opened is optimally transmitted to the jacket 3 in the region of the predetermined tear lines 9.
- the tear-off ring 7 is pulled upward and rotated around the connection points 8 such that the jacket 3 is no longer enclosed by the tear-off ring 7.
- the two predetermined tear lines 9 are destroyed and an area of the jacket 3 is released.
- the closure cap 1 is no longer in engagement with the entirety of the retaining bead 5 with the retaining elements in the region of the container mouth and can thus be easily removed.
- FIG. 2 shows how the jacket 3 of the closure cap 1 of a special exemplary embodiment is constructed in the region of the two connection points 8.
- the tear-off ring 7 and the two connection points 8 lie on the outer side of the jacket and are indicated in FIG. 2.
- the two connection points 8 lie in the area between the outer boundary lines of the two predetermined tear lines 9.
- the connection points 8 can extend beyond the inner boundary lines of the predetermined tear lines 9 into the area of the predetermined tear lines 9 extend.
- the retaining bead 5 is divided by interruptions 14, which results in individual sections of the retaining bead 5.
- a section lies in the area of the jacket which is delimited by the two predetermined tear lines 9.
- the two predetermined tear lines 9 begin at the edge area 10 of the casing 3 and extend vertically upwards and beyond the retention area 13 of the retention bead 5.
- a horizontally running hinge 15 is provided in the jacket 3 at the end of the predetermined tear lines 9.
- the hinge 15 is designed as a slight weakening of material in the jacket 3. When the closure is opened, the area delimited by the two vertical predetermined tear lines 9 is broken out of the jacket 3 and can be easily opened around the hinge 15, as shown in FIG.
- FIG. 3 shows a view of an exemplary embodiment of a closure cap 1, in which the tear-off ring 7 is connected to the jacket 3 in its edge region 10 in addition to the fixed connections at the connection points 8 by predetermined breaking webs 11.
- a sealing element in the form of a sealing lip 6 which is concentric with the jacket 3 is arranged on the closure base 2.
- the vertical predetermined tear lines are formed as material thinning on the inside of the jacket 3.
- the two arrows F indicate where the force acts on the jacket 3 when the cap 1 is opened by pulling the tear-off ring 7.
- FIG. 4 shows how a closure cap 1 is opened in the K direction by pulling the tear-off ring 7.
- the tear-off ring 7 is slightly curved in the area of the connection points 8 and the part of the jacket 3 which lies between two vertical predetermined tear lines 9 is folded out.
- the predetermined tear lines 9 extend so far in the direction of the closure bottom that a section of the retaining bead 5 or at least the retaining area 13 is contained in the area folded out of the jacket 3.
- FIG. 5 shows a further exemplary embodiment of a closure cap, in which the tear-off ring 3 forms a self-contained ring.
- the ring is connected to the edge region 10 of the jacket 3 at a single connection point 8.
- the two vertical predetermined tear lines 9 are arranged adjacent to the connection point 8 and are formed as a thinning of the jacket 3 on the inside thereof.
- the retaining bead 5 is divided into several sections by interruptions 14.
- FIG. 6 shows a closure cap, which differs from the exemplary embodiment shown in FIG. 5 in that the self-contained tear-off ring 7 is connected to the edge region 10 of the casing 3 by two connection points 8.
- FIG. 7 shows an exemplary embodiment in which the vertical predetermined tear lines 9 are designed as a thinning of the jacket 3 on the outside thereof and in which the retaining bead 5 runs uniformly.
- the two arrows F indicate how the force exerted by the tear-off ring 7 on the jacket 3 when the closure cap 1 is torn open acts in the region of the predetermined tear lines 9.
- FIGS. 8 and 9 show possibilities of how the connection points 8 can be designed.
- FIG. 8 shows connection points 8 which extend downward from the edge region 10 of the jacket 3.
- the tear-off ring 7 is thus arranged somewhat below the jacket 3.
- the retention area 13 of the retention bead 5 is on the inside of the jacket 3 shown.
- the tear-off ring 7 can also be connected to the jacket 3 with connection points 8, which extend horizontally and radially outward from the edge region 10 of the jacket 3.
- connection points 8 extend horizontally and radially outward from the edge region 10 of the jacket 3.
- the lower edge of the tear-off ring 7 thus lies in the same plane as the edge region 10 of the jacket 3.
- the axial extension of the tear-off ring 7 compared to the axial extension of the jacket 3 must be chosen small. The smaller the extension of the tear-off ring 7, the better the force applied to the tear-off ring 7 can be transmitted to the vertical desired tear lines 9.
