Abstract

Mindestens zwei voneinander getrennte Kammern als Referenz- und Meßkammer (5,6) weisen jeweils mindestens eine Elektrode (8, 14) auf, die über eine elektrische Energiequelle mit einer ionisierend wirkenden Einrichtung (1,3) verbunden sind. Die von der ionisierend wirkende Einrichtung erzeugten Ionen gelangen anteilig in der Meßkammer (6) zur Bestimmung der Rauchdichte und in die Referenzkammer (5). Durch die Regelung der elektrischen Energiequelle (13) ist die zur Ionisation notwendige elektrische Energie (17) der Ionisierungselektrode (1) minimierbar und die Anzahl der Ionen mit der Zeit variierbar. Die ionisierend wirkende Einrichtung ist von einem eigenen Koronaraum (3) mit einer Ionenquelle in Form einer mit einer Hochspannung (17) versorgten Ionisierungselektrode (1) gebildet, wobei die Referenz- und die Meßkammer (5, 6) über dem Koronaraum (3) angeordnet sind und mit dem Koronaraum (3) durch Öffnungen (4) in Verbindung stehen.
