- A device for the storage and complete discharge of grease, said device comprising a cylindrical enclosure (10), the upper part (20) of which is preferably retractable, a conically shaped lower part (30) which is integral with said enclosure and provided in its lowermost part with a controlled outlet opening (40), and a plate (70) forming a piston, which is of conical shape complementary to that of the lower end (30) of the cylindrical enclosure (10), which is disposed perpendicularly to the axis of the latter, said plate having a cross-section equal to the internal section of the enclosure and being adapted to slide in the latter, said device being characterised in that the weight of the plate (70) forming a piston is such that it can slide under gravity alone, thereby pressing so as to discharge the grease (110) situated in the lower part of the cylindrical enclosure, and in that the plate (70) forming a piston is mounted to slide on at least one rod (120) parallel to the longitudinal axis of the cylindrical enclosure.
- A device according to claim 1, characterised in that it comprises a single rod (70) disposed on the axis of the enclosure (10), or two diametrically opposed rods disposed on the inner periphery of this enclosure.
- A device according to either of claims 1 and 2, characterised in that the upper part (20) of the cylindrical enclosure is provided with an inlet (60) for compressed air or liquid.
- A device according to any one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the plate (70) forming a piston is provided on its periphery with one or, preferably, several scraper seals (100).
- A device according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that it comprises a single opening (40), which is situated at the lower part of the cylindrical enclosure (10), for filling the latter with grease and for discharging the grease.
- A device according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the cylindrical enclosure (10) is adapted to contain quantities of grease which are in excess of 1 tonne and, preferably, 1.2 tonnes.
