Abstract

A bollard consists of a hollow housing (1) which is fixed to the ground and contains one of more litter bins (4) which are open at the top and have a volume of between 30 and 100 litres. Each bin is located partially underground, with the remainder inside a superstructure (7) set above the ground. The superstructure has holes in the top for depositing litter and one or more opening panels (10) for removing or replacing the bins. The base (5) of the bollard has a cavity (13) which is open at the top to connect with the interior of the superstructure, while each bin has a bottom end (4a) which fits into the cavity below ground level. The base (5) is waterproof and its upper edge (5a) projects some 5cm above the ground. Each opening panel (10) covers an aperture in the wall of the bollard which allows sideways removal and replacement of the bin(s).

Description

Une telle borne de propreté urbaine est connue d'aprés GB 2 131 281 A.The present invention relates to the terminals of urban cleanliness including a hollow chest fixed to the ground and containing at least one basket open upwards, the trunk comprising, on the one hand, a base and, on the other hand, a superstructure located above ground level, this superstructure itself comprising a peripheral side wall and a top which is pierced with at least one opening of waste collection located above the or each trash, the trunk superstructure further comprising at least one movable panel which can be opened to allow manual removal of the basket by an operator. Such a urban cleaning station is known from GB 2 131 281 A.

These known cleanliness terminals have the drawback to have a waste storage capacity limited, so that in places particularly frequented, emptying operations must be repeated very frequently, up to several times a day.

To avoid this inconvenience, we can certainly have use of large volume containers but it's then necessary to use mechanized means to empty these containers, and moreover, these containers are bulky on public roads.

Alternatively, it is also possible to juxtapose several urban cleaning stations with basket volumes from 30 to 100 liters, but this set of cleanliness terminals is therefore very bulky on the public highway.

In addition, in certain specific cases, the overall dimensions horizontal of a cleanliness terminal from 30 to 100 liters, even if isolated, may be too large.

The object of the present invention is in particular to overcome these drawbacks.

To this end, according to the invention, a terminal of cleanliness of the genre in question is essentially characterized in that the base delimits a partially buried bowl which opens upwards inside the superstructure of the trunk, and in that the basket has an interior volume between 30 and 100 liters and a bottom which is received in said bowl and which is located below ground level, the base being waterproof and having a peripheral upper edge disposed at a height greater than 5 cm above the ground.

Thanks to these provisions, part of the volume of waste storage is located below the level of ground, so that it is possible to reduce the dimensions horizontal of the cleanliness terminal superstructure thereby limiting the size of this terminal on the public highway.

One can thus, if necessary, either juxtapose several cleanliness terminals according to the invention, namely use a cleaning station comprising several baskets, without cluttering the public road measured.

In addition, the above-mentioned provisions avoid the water entry inside the hollow base partially buried.

  • le panneau mobile représente au moins une partie de la paroi latérale du coffre, en définissant ainsi une ouverture d'accès latérale disposée et conformée pour permettre le passage de la corbeille, cette ouverture d'accès latérale présentant un bord inférieur qui est situé à une hauteur inférieure à 80 cm au-dessus du fond de la corbeille ;
  • le dessus du coffre présente au moins une portion qui est solidaire du panneau mobile et qui définit une ouverture supérieure permettant de lever la corbeille avant de la sortir latéralement hors du coffre par l'ouverture d'accès latérale correspondant audit panneau mobile ;
  • la corbeille est en forme de botte et présente une base prolongée latéralement par une extrémité creuse faisant saillie horizontalement à partir d'un côté de la corbeille situé en alignement vertical avec l'ouverture d'accès latérale du coffre, le socle présentant lui-même, au-dessous du niveau du sol, une base élargie recevant ladite extrémité saillante, le coffre et la corbeille étant conformés pour permettre d'incliner la partie supérieure de la corbeille vers l'extérieur du coffre à travers l'ouverture d'accès latérale en dégageant ainsi l'extrémité saillante de la base de la corbeille, afin de lever ladite corbeille et de la faire sortir du coffre par l'ouverture d'accès latérale : ces dispositions permettent d'augmenter encore le volume de stockage de déchets de la borne de propreté urbaine, ou bien de réduire encore les dimensions horizontales de la superstructure de cette borne, sans pour autant augmenter la profondeur d'enfouissement du socle, laquelle profondeur est limitée, d'une part, par des contraintes d'urbanisme (passage de câbles et de canalisations) et, d'autre part, par la difficulté qu'aurait un opérateur à soulever manuellement la corbeille sur une hauteur trop importante avant de pouvoir la sortir de la borne de propreté urbaine ;
  • le dessus du coffre comportant une pluralité d'ouvertures de réception de déchets, disposées respectivement au-dessus des différentes corbeilles, et la borne de propreté étant conformée pour permettre, lorsque le coffre est ouvert, l'enlèvement manuel successif de toutes les corbeilles par un opérateur unique afin de vider lesdites corbeilles ;
  • le coffre présente une forme sensiblement cylindrique de révolution ayant un axe vertical de symétrie, les corbeilles présentant chacune une section horizontale sensiblement en forme de secteur angulaire, et le coffre comportant en outre des moyens de positionnement pour placer chaque corbeille sous une ouverture de réception de déchets ;
In preferred embodiments, one can optionally have recourse to one and / or the other of the following arrangements:
  • the movable panel represents at least a part of the side wall of the trunk, thereby defining a lateral access opening arranged and shaped to allow the passage of the basket, this lateral access opening having a lower edge which is located at a height less than 80 cm above the bottom of the basket;
  • the top of the trunk has at least one portion which is integral with the movable panel and which defines an upper opening making it possible to lift the basket before removing it laterally from the trunk by the lateral access opening corresponding to said movable panel;
  • the basket is in the form of a boot and has a base extended laterally by a hollow end projecting horizontally from one side of the basket situated in vertical alignment with the lateral access opening of the boot, the base itself , below ground level, an enlarged base receiving said projecting end, the trunk and the basket being shaped to allow the upper part of the basket to be inclined towards the outside of the trunk through the lateral access opening thereby releasing the projecting end of the base of the basket, in order to lift said basket and to take it out of the trunk by the lateral access opening: these provisions make it possible to further increase the volume of storage of waste from the urban cleanliness terminal, or even further reduce the horizontal dimensions of the superstructure of this terminal, without increasing the burial depth of the base, the what depth is limited, on the one hand, by urban planning constraints (passage of cables and pipes) and, on the other hand, by the difficulty that an operator would have to manually lift the basket over a height that is too great before to be able to get it out of the urban cleanliness terminal;
  • the top of the trunk comprising a plurality of waste reception openings, disposed respectively above the various baskets, and the cleanliness terminal being shaped to allow, when the trunk is opened, the successive manual removal of all the baskets by a single operator to empty said baskets;
  • the box has a substantially cylindrical shape of revolution having a vertical axis of symmetry, the baskets each having a horizontal section substantially in the form of an angular sector, and the box further comprising positioning means for placing each basket under an opening for receiving waste;
  • the baskets are in the form of a boot and each have a base extended by a hollow end projecting horizontally outward below ground level, the base comprising below ground level, an enlarged base receiving said projecting ends , the trunk and the baskets being shaped to allow the upper parts of the baskets to be inclined towards the outside of the trunk through the lateral access opening (s) thereby freeing the projecting ends from the bases of the baskets, then lifting said baskets and take them out of the trunk through the side access opening (s).

Furthermore, the subject of the invention is also a set of urban sanitation stations including at minus two urban cleanliness terminals as defined above, which each include a unique basket and which are immediately adjacent to each other.

Advantageously, the lateral access opening of each of the urban cleanliness terminals is then directed towards the outside of the assembly and, when the basket of each terminal is in the form of a boot, the base enlarged plinth protrudes horizontally below from ground level only to the outside of the set, this base having a horizontal size which, towards the other cleaning point (s) constituting the whole, does not exceed the size horizontal of the trunk superstructure.

D'autres caractéristiques et avantages de l'invention apparaítront au cours de la description détaillée suivante d'une de ses formes de réalisation, donnée à titre d'exemple non limitatif, en regard des dessins Other characteristics and advantages of the invention will appear during the detailed description following of one of its embodiments, given to by way of nonlimiting example, with reference to the drawings

In the first embodiment of the invention, the set 1 of urban cleanliness terminals includes three urban cleaning stations 2 (bins for places public) which each present a substantially form of angular sector of approximately 120 °, these cleanliness terminals urban being juxtaposed so that the whole 1 has a substantially cylindrical overall shape of revolution.

The invention is however not limited to a set 1 which would have a cylindrical shape of revolution, or to cleanliness terminals 2 which would present a horizontal section in the shape of a sector angular.

In particular, each of the cleanliness terminals 2 could if necessary have a horizontal section substantially square or rectangular, or even circular or elliptical, or others.

Furthermore, set 1 could be made up of a different number of urban cleaning stations three, these limits can be for example the number two, four or more.

Bien que cela ne soit pas préféré, il serait d'ailleurs également possible d'utiliser isolément une borne de propreté 2.Although this is not preferred, it would be moreover also possible to use in isolation a cleaning station 2.

For illustrative purposes only, the set 1 of urban cleanliness kiosks can present for example a outside diameter of the order of 80 cm or less (above from ground level), and a height above ground of the order of 90 cm.

In the example considered, each cleanliness terminal urban 2 includes a hollow chest 3 which contains a basket 4 open upwards.

The trunk 3 first of all includes a base 5 partially buried in the ground 6, base which can be made for example of prefabricated reinforced concrete or made of synthetic material.

This base 5 is surmounted by a superstructure generally metallic which comprises, on the one hand, a side wall 7 and, on the other hand, a top 8 pierced with a waste reception opening 9 located above the basket 4.

The side wall 7 is fixed to the base 5, and this side wall has a door 10 pivotally mounted on the fixed part of said side wall by means of a vertical hinge 11. This door is normally kept closed by means of a lock 12 actuable by an operator using a special key.

The door 10 thus defines an access opening lateral which is directed towards the outside of the assembly 1 of cleanliness terminals and which allows an operator to manually take out basket 4 to empty it.

This door 10 preferably represents the assembly on the arcuate side of the side wall 7, and the fixed part of this side wall then represents the two sides of said side wall which are substantially planes and which form a corner towards the inside of the whole 1 of cleanliness terminals.

De préférence, mais non obligatoirement, au moins une partie du dessus 8 de la superstructure du coffre est solidaire de la porte 10, de façon à dégager l'espace situé au-dessus de la corbeille 4 lorsque la porte 10 est ouverte : on facilite ainsi la manutention de la corbeille 4 lorsqu'un opérateur doit la sortir du coffre 3.Preferably, but not necessarily, at least part of the top 8 of the trunk superstructure is integral with door 10, so as to clear the space located above basket 4 when door 10 is open: this facilitates handling of the basket 4 when an operator must remove it from the trunk 3.

According to the invention, in order to minimize the bulk 2 urban cleanliness stations above the ground while obtaining a sufficient volume of waste storage, the base 5 of each of these cleanliness terminals is partially buried, and this base delimits internally a bowl 13 open upwards which receives the part bottom of the basket 4, so that the bottom 4a of this basket is located below ground level.

In this case, in order to avoid water coming in the interior of the bowl 13 formed by the base 5, this base is waterproof and the side wall of this base goes up to a peripheral upper edge 5a located for example at a height greater than 5 cm, and preferably between 10 and 15 cm, above the level soil 6.

Furthermore, the basket 4 is preferably waterproof, or lined inside with a waterproof bag, so to prevent liquids that could enter this trash (raindrops or liquid contained in globlets, bottles or boxes, etc.) do not penetrate inside the base 5.

De préférence la hauteur qui sépare le fond 4a de la corbeille et le bord supérieur 5a du socle, lorsque la corbeille repose au fond de ce socle, est inférieure à 80 cm, et avantageusement inférieure à 60 cm, de façon à limiter le mouvement de levage que doit effectuer un opérateur afin de sortir la corbeille hors de la borne de propreté 2.Preferably the height which separates the bottom 4a from the basket and the upper edge 5a of the base, when the basket rests at the bottom of this base, is less than 80 cm, and advantageously less than 60 cm, so that limit the lifting movement that a operator to take the basket out of the cleanliness 2.

Furthermore, in order to further increase the volume of the basket 4, while minimizing the horizontal bulk cleanliness terminal 2 above the ground and limiting the burial depth of the base 5, the basket 4 can advantageously have substantially a form of boot.

In this case, the lower part of this basket extended, below ground level 6, by a hollow projecting end 4b which extends radially outward from set 1 of terminals cleanliness, i.e. only on the side of the basket 4 which is situated vertically in correspondence with the door 10.

So that the protruding end 4b of the part lower basket can fit in the bowl 13, the base 5 has an enlarged base 5b which makes projecting radially outward, i.e. also in vertical correspondence with door 10, the parts of the base 5 which are not located in correspondence with door 10 being all included at inside the horizontal bulk of the wall side 7 of the trunk.

In order to allow an operator to exit the basket 4 to empty it, this basket is shaped to be able to tilt out of the boot 3 at the same time as it is raised, as shown in dashed lines in Figure 2.

The protruding end 4b of the basket may thus go into the free space located inside the narrowed upper part 5c of the base.

For this purpose, one can for example provide that the radially inner part of the bottom 4a of the basket, vertical section view, has a rounded shape, and that the radially outer part of the basket located above the projecting end 4b present locally a hollow 4c at the level of the narrowed part 5c from the base 5.

In the second and third embodiments, the urban cleaning station 101 (bin for public places) includes in all cases a safe 102 having a base 103 which can be produced for example in precast reinforced concrete which is sealed in the ground 104. This base is surmounted by a superstructure in general metallic which comprises on the one hand a side wall 105 and on the other hand a top 106 pierced with several openings 107 for receiving waste.

By way of illustration only, the chest 102 can present for example an outside diameter of the order of 80 cm or less and a height above the ground of around 90 cm.

In the different examples shown on the Figures 4 to 9, the trunk 102 has a shape substantially cylindrical of revolution centered on an axis of vertical symmetry, but this form is not limiting: the trunk 102 could have a horizontal section elliptical, square, rectangular, etc. although a circular horizontal section of the trunk is however favorite.

In all of the examples in Figures 4 to 9, the trunk 102 defines a hollow interior volume which receives several baskets 108 open upwards, arranged each under an opening 107 for receiving waste from way to collect this waste.

These baskets each have a volume interior between 30 and 100 liters and preferably between approximately 60 and 80 liters, so that it can be manipulated manually by a single operator, even when they are full.

In the examples shown in the drawings, these there are three or four baskets, but they could possibly only be among two or more than four.

The shape of the baskets 108 is indifferent provided that these baskets occupy substantially all of the interior volume of the boot 102. However, when the chest 102 is cylindrical of revolution, as in examples shown in the drawings it is particularly advantageous that the baskets 108 are identical and each have a substantially horizontal section in the form of an angular sector.

L'opérateur peut ainsi vider successivement les différentes corbeilles 108, puis les remettre en place dans le coffre 102.Furthermore, in all embodiments of the invention, the boot 102 has at least one movable panel which is normally closed but which can be opened by releasing an access opening for allow an operator to manually exit the baskets 108 out of the trunk, in particular by using handles 109 provided in said baskets. The operator can thus successively empty the different baskets 108, then put them back in the trunk 102.

In the second embodiment of the invention, shown in Figures 5 to 7, the interior of the chest 102 is subdivided into three delimited 115 housings by three radial partitions 113 which are connected between them by a central post 114 materializing an axis vertical X.

The side wall 105 of the trunk is fixed on the two thirds of its periphery, while a third of its periphery is constituted by a door 140 which is normally kept closed by a latch 111 and which can be open by pivoting around a vertical hinge 141 connected to the fixed part of the side wall 105.

In order to allow an operator to exit all the baskets 108 out of the trunk 102 through this 140 single door, 108 baskets and partitions 113 are rotatably mounted around the axis vertical X, which allows to successively present the different baskets 108 in front of the released opening through gate 140.

For this purpose, the central post 114 as well as the partitions 113 are integral with a plate 142 on which rest the baskets 108, and the assembly is mounted rotating inside the boot 102.

To ensure that the different baskets 108 are located respectively below the openings 107 for receiving waste when door 140 is closed, the boot 102 further includes a device indexing 143 which retains the rotary assembly 113, 114, 142 in one of its three angular positions where the baskets 108 are located below the openings 107, this indexing device 143 does not release the whole rotary only when operated with sufficient force by an operator.

By way of nonlimiting example, the device indexing 143 can be made up of a set of two 144 balls which are mounted with clearance inside of two bores 145a of a block 145 integral with the part side wall 105, and which are stressed by two springs 146 to a position where they abut against an openwork closure plate 145b by projecting a projection beyond this plate 145b towards the inside of the trunk 102.

When the mobile assembly 113, 114, 142 is in one of its indexed positions, the two balls 144 surround one of the partitions 113 of the mobile assembly and interfere with the radial end of this partition: to rotate the rotary assembly 113, 114, 142, the operator must therefore exert a couple on this set sufficient to fit one of the two balls 144 to the inside of block 145 against spring stress 146 correspondent.

Additionally, to ensure that the rotating assembly 113, 114, 142 does not turn, accidentally or as a result of malicious manipulation, while using the cleanliness terminal, advantageously provision is made for means for locking this rotary assembly when the door 140 is closed.

Advantageously, these blocking means can be constituted by a flange 147 projecting substantially radially inward from the edge free vertical of door 140, this ledge 147 coming place between a partition 113 and a basket 108 when door 140 is closed.

Optionally, the indexing device 143 could be removed, the flange 147 then constituting alone the means of indexing and blocking, since this flange 147 prevents the door 140 from closing if the rotary assembly 113, 114, 142 is not placed in such a way so that each basket 108 is located below an opening 107 for receiving waste.

In this case, the lower part of the baskets 109 is arranged inside a recess in the base 103, which base has a side wall which goes up to an upper edge 103a located for example at a height greater than 5 cm and preferably included between 10 and 15 cm above ground level 104: thus, runoff does not get inside from base 103.

In order to facilitate the removal of baskets 108, the door 140 is integral with a part 148 of the top 106 of the trunk, which forms an angular sector of approximately 120 °.

When door 140 is open, it therefore releases also substantially all of the space above the basket 108 positioned opposite said door.

This basket 108 can thus be easily removed lifting it vertically until its bottom 108a arrives above the upper edge 3a of the base, then moving the basket horizontally outwards from the trunk.

Preferably, the height which separates the bottom 108a from the basket and the upper edge 103a of the base, when the basket rests on the tray 142, is less than 80 cm, and advantageously less than 60 cm, so as to limit the lifting movement which is the most painful for the operator.

Optionally, the top 106 of the trunk could be formed in one piece, in which case door 140 does not would not be attached to a part of this top 106: in in this case, the baskets 108 must have a suitable shape to allow a tilting outwards of the trunk through the space freed by door 140, then a biased movement towards the outside of the trunk 102 in order to get out of this chest.

In the third embodiment of the invention, which is shown in Figures 8 and 9, the wall side 105 is again provided with a single door 150 which represents substantially a quarter of the periphery of this side wall, since the baskets are at number of four in this example. This door 150 is normally kept closed by a latch 111 and it can be opened by pivoting around a hinge vertical 151 connected to the rest of the side wall 105.

Furthermore, the baskets 108 are this time fixed relative to the ground, while the side wall 105 and the top 106 of the trunk are rotatably mounted around a central vertical axis X materialized by a post 114: when door 150 is open, we can thus successively bring the opening left free by this door in front of each basket 108, in order to exit this trash bin 102 to empty it.

As in the fourth embodiment of the invention, means are further provided for indexing the relative angular positions of the side wall 105 compared to baskets 108 and to prevent any rotation of the side wall 105 when the door 150 is closed.

In the example shown in Figures 8 and 9, these means are constituted by a flange 152 which extends substantially radially inward from the edge free vertical of door 150 and which enters between two adjacent baskets 108 when door 150 is closed.

Furthermore, as before, the bottom 108a of the baskets 108 is advantageously located below the ground level 104, and door 150 is preferably secured to part of the top 106 of the trunk which represents substantially an angular sector of 90 °, so to free up the space above one of the baskets 108 when door 150 is open.

In addition, in order to be able to further limit the outside diameter of the trunk superstructure 102 all by having baskets 108 having an interior volume sufficient, baskets 108 can advantageously substantially have a boot shape, the base 108a of these baskets being extended, below the level from the ground 104, by a hollow projecting end 108b which extends radially outward. Each of said ends 108b is engaged in a housing 103b which preferably its own, this housing being formed to the interior of an enlarged base of the base 103, located below from ground level.

In order to allow an operator to exit the baskets 108 to empty them, these baskets are shaped to be able to tilt out of the chest 102 at the same time as they are raised, as shown in phantom in Figure 8: the ends protruding 108b baskets can thus pass in the free space located inside the game emerged from the base 103, of relatively narrow diameter.

For this purpose, one can for example provide that the radially inner part of the bottom 108a of the baskets is rounded and the radially outer part of the baskets above the protruding end 108a locally has a hollow 108c at the level of the part emerged from base 103.
